2011 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Jimmer Fredette
Position: Point Guard
Size: 6-2, 190
School: BYU, Senior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Fredette is an elite scorer at the college level and has an outside shot that all NBA general managers covet. However, his combo guard status and lack of great athleticism hurts his status. When the draft is all said and done, I think he ends up going late in the first round depending on how many underclassmen declare. If he slips to the second round, he could be one heck of a steal if he finds his role at the next level.
Player Comparison: Mo Williams Williams is not a great athlete by NBA standards which is why he ended up being a second-round pick. He has put together a successful NBA career due to his craftiness as a scorer and that is what allows Fredette to excel.
