Nehemiah Pritchett Scouting Report

Strengths:
- Matches up well against tall, long receivers

- Could start out as a backup and special teams contributor
- Will give up separation versus quicker receivers
- Struggles at top of route versus quicker wideouts
- Ball production is not special; didn’t intercept many passes
Prospect Summary:
Pritchett spent the last four years as a steady and reliable corner for the Tigers. He had an impressive debut in his first season of extended playing time in 2020, recording 25 tackles, an interception and 10 passes broken up. He also was solid over 2021 (27-1-5) and 2022 (37-0-8). As a senior, Pritchett did a nice job of covering up receivers and teams threw at him less. He finished the year with a total of 22 tackles, an interception and three passes defended.
For the NFL, Pritchett has the size and speed to be a starting outside cornerback after he gets some development under pro coaches. Pritchett does a really nice job of blanketing big receivers and has no issues with tall, long wideouts. Thanks to his speed and athleticism, Pritchett is very solid at running with them but also shows the ability to press them at the line. For coverage, Pritchett has the versatility to handle press-man, off-man or zone duties.
The issues that Pritchett will have to work on for the NFL is covering speed receivers. Fast wideouts give him issues, and he will give up separation to speedy players. Pritchett has issues preventing separation at the top of the route when going against a receiver with good speed.
Team sources said Pritchett could end up as a third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He probably won’t last long if he makes it to Round 4.
