Ohio State

Everyone and their moms are picking this pick. I ain't no trend-bucker, so I'll pick it too!

Toledo

Maybe I am a trend-bucker… Mitchell's outstanding combine is going to launch him up draft boards. We are going full Byron Jones!

Michigan

Minnesota pretty clearly wants a QB. They are going to be on the phone with both AZ and LA to see if they can move up to pick J.J. before another team moves up to snipe them, but if all stay put, the Vikes get their guy at 6. J.J. is the pick over Penix because of Penix's mixed reviews coming out of his pro day and combine performance.

Notre Dame

Alt or Latham is the question at this pick. I'd have gone with Joe Alt 10/10 times if Mike Vrabel was still coaching Tennessee, but Latham might be the favorite of the new staff, I just don't know.

Alabama

Atlanta may not have won the Belichick sweep stakes, but at least they won the Kirk Cousins sweep stakes!!! Really though, how did they let Belichick walk away? Insansity. Anyways, Atlanta gets to go BPA here, and Dallas Turner would be an outstanding knight on an already intriguing chess board of an Atlanta D. That's right, I have metaphors too.

LSU

If there's one thing I know about young QBs, it's that you gotta give them the weapons to succeed. Cam Newton had Steve Smith and Greg Olsen, Justin Herbert had Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler, now Caleb Williams will have Keenan Allen and Malik Nabers.

Washington

A lot of people are worried about Rome Odunze's speed. This could be a concern, definitely, but just watch him play. He's faster on tape than he is on the track, and he just feels like another Brandon Marshall / Allen Robinson type who will just stuff stat sheets by catching everything. Aaron Rodgers hasn't had a WR like Odunze to throw to since Jordy Nelson's heyday, I am sure this pick would get him feelin super excited in the medicinal crystals if you feel me.

Alabama

This is definitely a little late for Latham, who definitely should go top 10. However, the difference between Rome Odunze and Brian Thomas is pretty vast, so I think the WRs will fly off the board, leaving the G-men with a steal too good to ignore in Latham.

Texas

Another result of the WR and QB runs that will happen is Byron Murphy likely falling. While QB is a bigger need for Denver, I just cannot see Sean Payton picking Penix at 12. Murphy is a huge steal at the slot, though, as the preemptive best DT in the class.

Penn State

Another situation where I think Penix is just not good enough to go this high. I would not be surprised (or disappointed) if Vegas rolls with the Gardner at QB in 2024, so lets get him an elite OT.

Alabama

As long as New Orleans goes D with this pick, they can do little wrong. I have Arnold now as the best defender available (in what is shaping up to be a very offense heavy class, sort of an anti-2013 draft).

Clemson

Arnold's selection could trigger a CB run with teams looking for defensive talent and realizing that the CB group this year is really the only one with a whole lot of first rounders. Wiggins is the next best up to me, and Indy needs help in the secondary with Houston and Jacksonville entering an arms race.

Georgia

I think a lot of people would go with a defender here, but I think Bowers is just too much value to pass up at 16. Yes, Seattle just resigned Noah Fant, but if Bowers is on the board still at 16, he is the pick hands down.

Washington

Finally an IOL pick! TLaw's protection last year was awful. Again. If Jacksonville doesn't want their franchise QB going the way of David Carr, they need to upgrade their front.

Oregon State

I imagine Fuaga kicks to RT on the Cinci line. Protect Joe Burrow. Win Championships. Seems pretty simple to me.

Michigan

The Aaron Donald comparisons will never end for whichever defender LA picks here. And I do feel bad for them, really.

Georgia

Russell Wilson is the rare QB that doesn't need great protection to play well. However, that doesn't mean it isn't appreciated, and if they have any plans for Justin Fields, Pittsburgh is going to start having to invest up front.

Duke

Giving Raheem Mostert I mean De'Von Achane I mean Tua Tagovailoa better help up front is imperative for Miami. There is only so much time left on Tua's current cheaper contract, Miami needs to make a push now.

Alabama

Why does it feel like every year the Philadelphia secondary is just garbage? Well, this is as good a year as any to pick a first round CB. McKinstry is probably the best available but really it's impossible to predict a team's CB preference.

LSU

Good things come to those who wait. BJ could've gone a whole lot earlier with no complaint from me, but it just feels like there's going to be a WR drought after Rome Odunze goes. Thomas will once and for all prove that a good WR does not fix a bad QB.

Texas A&M

Now, isn't this a match made in heaven? I feel like Jerry will see a player named Edgerrin and just auto pick him. Lucky for him, Cooper is legit.

Iowa

The only round 1 safety will (or at least should) be DeJean. Anything Green Bay can do to slow down Jared Goff in Detroit is a good idea. What a weird sentence, man I am so Goff-pilled.

Georgia

Tampa has signed a couple CBs in free agency, but you really can never have enough. I don't think CB is a huge priority in the draft for Tampa given the state of the NFC South right now, but they may be starved for options and Lassiter is the last good round 1 DB.

Illinois

Newton talent-wise should go earlier, but motor concerns are going to drive him down to around this selection or even lower. Arizona shouldn't complain about getting a potential steal here, though.

Texas

Josh Allen tends to prefer the speedy, quick receivers that can take advantage of just how dang awesome Allen's ball placement is. Worthy is the perfect successor to Stefon Diggs.

Florida State

This is probably a little late for Verse to go, but I do think the hype surrounding him (and a lot of the edge class this year) is a little much. Verse + Aidan Hutchinson is a crazy edge combo that will be giving NFC North QBs fits for years.

Oklahoma

I'm not sure why, but the Ravens just blew up their offensive line this offseason. Perhaps the reason is that this year's draft is incredibly deep at OT. Guyton could go 10 picks earlier and it'd still be good. Just your average Ravens pick.

Oregon

SF has a history of reaching in the first, which is pretty odd given that their roster always seems to be so good. JPJ is not a reach in the strictest sense of the word, but it is a little early for him and he fills a need. All the markings of a Niners first round O-line pick.

Texas

With Travis Kelce only getting older (and more annoying), KC may seek to lock down the next Mahomes favorite in this draft. Adonai Mitchell would provide a good thunder to Marquise Brown's lightning.
