2010 NBA Draft Scouting Report: John Wall
Position: Point Guard
Size: 6-4, 195
School: Kentucky, Freshman
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: It is difficult to put into words how talented Wall actually is unless you have seen him play. He came into Kentucky with an incredible amount of hype and has lived up to every bit of it. There is no question he is the top prospect in the 2010 NBA Draft.
Player Comparison: Derrick Rose – Besides the parallel of being freshmen point guards playing for John Calipari, the similiarities between these two are right on, which is why Wall is No. 1 on every mock draft out there. Both players just seem to have an extra gear in their ability to break down a defense especially in transition. Like Rose, Wall is quiet and often times emotionless when he plays, but understands how to lead a team and is probably a better shooter than Rose was in his freshman season at Memphis.
