2011 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Kemba Walker
Position: Point Guard
Size: 6-1, 175
School: UConn, Junior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Walker has gotten off to unbelievable start this season and has been the talk of college basketball which will do wonders for his draft stock. He has proven he is a lottery talent, and if he can continue to play at a high level for the remainder of the season, he could easily be a top-10 pick. Walker still needs to improve on his pure point guard skills as he is playing off the ball a little more this season, but will almost certainly turn pro after this year.
Player Comparison: Brandon Jennings. Jennings is a terrific playmaker who is at his best when he gets to the basket, but also has a nice pull-up game. Walker is becoming a better outside shooter which is an area that Jennings has struggled, but both guys are so talented with the ball in their hands.
