2010 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Gordon Hayward
Position: Small Forward
Size: 6-9, 207
School: Butler, Junior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Hayward has been scouts’ radars since the season began due to his athleticism and versatility on the wing. Helping guide Butler to the Final Four has helped Hayward’s stock and it is now realistic that some “experts” believe he’s a lottery lock. I certainly would not go that far, but he will more than likely be off the board before the 20s.
Player Comparison: Dorrell Wright. Wright is a lengthy, athletic wing player who is not very physical just like Hayward. The Bulldog sophomore needs to add some muscle and become more physical as well as improve his outside shooting, or he may be nothing more than a bench player like Wright.
