2011 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Chandler Parsons
Position: Small Forward
Size: 6-10, 221
School: Florida, Senior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Despite being the SEC Player of the Year as a senior, Parsons does not have tremendous value as a pro prospect. He is an all-around player who does not particularly excel in any certain aspect of the game. His size is intriguing for a small forward prospect and he should get second-round looks, possibly sticking on a roster as a type of glue guy.
Player Comparison: Luke Walton. Walton is an average athlete by NBA standards but has used his basketball smarts and versatility to stay in the league. Parsons is not as physical as Walton, but faces the same obstacles in the league. Both guys have shown the ability to shoot the ball and pass very well for their size, which plays to their advantage.
