2012 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Ricardo Ratliffe
Position: Power Forward
Size: 6-8, 240
School: Missouri, Senior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Ratliffe put together an extremely efficient season, shooting nearly 70 percent from the field this past year. He is very active on the inside and physical down low, but is a bit undersized and limited with his offensive game, which makes him a second-round prospect.
Player Comparison: Jason Maxiell. Like Maxiell, Ratliffe is a center trapped in a power forward’s body. Maxiell has utilized his wide frame and physicality to be a serviceable role player, which Ratliffe could become as well. Neither guy has a great deal of offensive ability outside of the paint, but both are effective around the hoop.
