2015 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Jahlil Okafor
Position: Center
Size: 6-11, 270
School: Duke, Freshman
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Okafor is a prototypical back-to-the-basket big man and has all the makings of being an all-star-level center in the NBA. He is polished beyond his years as a low post threat and has an outstanding feel for the game. In the age of raw big men, Okafor is the exact opposite, and that is why he will be in consideration for the No. 1-overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
Player Comparison: Tim Duncan. This is a mighty strong statement, but Okafor isn’t a sexy/fancy player who is going to wow you with crazy athletic plays. Like Duncan, Okafor is so fundamentally sound, which is insanely impressive for a young big man. He even has the mid-range bank shot that he has displayed every once in a while that is Duncan-esque.
