  1. Quinton Patton, WR, Louisiana Tech
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 204. Arm: 32 1/4. Hand: 9 1/8.
    40 Time: 4.53.
    Projected Round (2013): 2-3.

4/24/13: The Combine didn’t help or hurt Patton’s draft stock. He is a competitive football player and that isn’t the environment where he will stand out.

Patton played really well in 2012 with 104 receptions for 1,392 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was one of the most impressive wide outs at the Senior Bowl. Patton ran good routes, was getting separation and making difficult contested catches. He was a gamer who battled the defensive backs. Patton really helped himself in Mobile.

8/17/12: Patton, a junior, was very productive in his first season at Louisiana Tech, making 79 receptions for 1,202 yards and 11 touchdowns. Mississippi State cornerback Johnthan Banks, a potential first-round pick, said that Patton was the best receiver he played last year.

Patton played his first two seasons at Coffeyville Community College. He needs another strong season to help his draft status.

  2. Jordan Mills, OT, Louisiana Tech
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 316. Arm: 34.08
    Projected 40 Time: 5.37.
    Projected Round (2013): 3-5.

4/24/13: Mills was a 2-year starter who helped pave the way for a good rushing offense. He also did well as a pass-protector.

Mills really helped himself with a strong Senior Bowl. He did a good job of fighting off speed-rushers and powerful linemen. Mills didn’t win all of his reps, but he held his own. Mills also displayed a real mean streak. He blocked through the whistle and was ready to mix it up. Mills could be sleeper who turns into a starter in the NFL. Some teams might move him inside to guard.

  3. Ryan Allen, P, Louisiana Tech
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 215.
    Projected Round (2013): 6-FA.

4/24/13: Allen averaged 48 yards per punt in 2012. He was a real weapon for Louisiana Tech. Allen did a good job of punting at the Senior Bowl and helped himself. He averaged 52.4 yards per punt on five attempts with a long of 54 in the Senior Bowl game.

9/3/12: Allen was fifth in the nation in punting last season, averaging 46.12 yards per kick. He won the 2011 Ray Guy Award over some excellent punters like Bryan Anger and Brad Wing. Allen led the nation with 39 punts downed inside the 20 and 22 punts downed inside the 10. He had a long punt of 72 yards.

Allen averaged 40.8 yards per punt in 2010. He did not play while being on the Oregon State football team the previous two seasons.
