Funny. Clearly your not a Cowboy fan so it clouds your thoughts. Pretty hard to determine a players potential before they take a snap in the NFL. With that its pretty strong to say they blew the pick. If in the next few years Elliott is a top 5 RB and returns the offense to 2014 form its hardly blowing it. Ramsey looks to be a great player too. But Dallas needed to put a top RB behind that OL before contracts split it up as much as a top DB. The RB helps crown the OL, reduces the QB hits and frees up the passing game. Ramsey may not have as big an impact in Jacksonville as Elliott will have in Dallas. We will see.........
2012 Fantasy Football Offseason Stock - Week of Aug. 20
Peyton Manning, QB, Broncos
Multiple reports from ESPN and Scouts Inc. indicate that Peyton Manning has had major issues throwing to his right for more than 10 yards. This is obviously bad news for Manning's fantasy potential. While he could heal and become a low-end QB1, he's just going way too early in fantasy drafts. Stay away from him unless he falls to about Round 9-10.
Rashad Jennings, RB, Jaguars
If you drafted Rashad Jennings late in your league, congratulations. You've hit the jackpot. Maurice Jones-Drew will either hold out into the regular season or be traded to another team. Jennings has suddenly become a legitimate RB2.
Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jaguars
Adam Schefter is reporting that Maurice Jones-Drew will hold out into the regular season if he's not traded to another team. The Jaguars may eventually deal him, but it may not be until sometime in October. Regardless, Jones-Drew is now nothing more than a mid-round desperation option.
Dez Bryant, WR, Cowboys
Dez Bryant will miss the remainder of the preseason with patella tendinitis. He's expected to be ready for Week 1, but it's still a slight concern.
Jake Locker, QB, Titans
Despite an awful showing against the Buccaneers, Jake Locker has been named the starting quarterback. He can be a borderline QB1 if he plays well, but the problem is that his erratic play could cause him to be benched in favor of Matt Hasselbeck. Still, this is encouraging news.
Ryan Tannehill, QB, Dolphins
Ryan Tannehill has been named the starting quarterback for the Dolphins. There's no fantasy upside with him, however, because his top receivers are Roberto Wallace, Legedu Nannee and Davone Bess.
Miles Austin-Jones, WR, Cowboys
Jerry Jones told the media that Miles Austin-Jones will be out for the rest of the preseason with his hamstring injury. Austin-Jones is tentatively expected to be back in Week 1, but who knows at this point? His hamstring injury has been bothering him for two years now and simply will not go away.
Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys
With Miles Austin-Jones and Jason Witten potentially set to miss the first couple of games, Tony Romo's projected stats have to decrease.
