2014 NBA Mock Draft: Round 1 - Picks 16-30
2014 NBA Mock Draft: Round 2
NFL Mock Drafts from previous years

Updated: April 23, 2014.

Team needs and outstanding trades have been taken into account with this 2014 NBA Mock Draft.

  1. Milwaukee Bucks: Jabari Parker, SF, Duke, 6-8, Fr.
The debate will rage on; Wiggins, Parker, or Embiid? Concerns over Embiid's back injury puts either Wiggins or Parker on the top line. Even though the Bucks have a small forward of the future in last year's first-round pick, Giannis Antetokounmpo, I can't fathom them taking Embiid over Wiggins or Parker. While Wiggins may have more upside, Milwaukee needs a go-to scoring option like Parker, who should be a 20+-points-per-game scorer in the NBA.

  2. Philadelphia 76ers: Andrew Wiggins, SF, Kansas, 6-8, Fr.
By trading Evan Turner, the 76ers desperately needs help on the wing and happily takes whoever falls to them at No. 2. Wiggins would be a terrific young building block alongside last year's first-round picks, Michael Carter-Williams and Nerlens Noel.

  3. Orlando Magic: Joel Embiid, C, Kansas, 7-0, Fr.
Whichever team ends up with the third pick, it likely ends up taking whichever top talent falls to No. 3. In this case, it is Embiid. Since the Magic already have Nikola Vucevic, maybe the team would look at Marcus Smart or Dante Exum here, but Embiid is a future franchise center who is too good to pass up.

  4. Utah Jazz: Dante Exum, G, Australia, 6-6, 1995
The Jazz needs depth across the board, and pairing Dante Exum with Trey Burke in the backcourt would be encouraging for a rebuilding franchise. Exum is a versatile guard who can do a little bit of everything on the floor.

  5. Boston Celtics: Aaron Gordon, PF, Arizona, 6-9, Fr.
Though a work in progress offensively, Aaron Gordon is a ridiculous athlete and terrific defender who should be a solid role player in the NBA. There are concerns about what his true position will be at the next level, but Brad Stevens should be able to figure out how to get the most out of Gordon's potential.

  6. Los Angeles Lakers: Julius Randle, PF, Kentucky, 6-9, Fr.
Outside of Kobe Bryant, the Lakers will be pretty much starting from scratch next season and will take the best available player. Julius Randle is a physical, aggressive player on the interior, but he also has solid athleticism and ball-handling ability.

  7. Sacramento Kings: Marcus Smart, PG, Oklahoma State, 6-4, Soph.
The new Kings ownership is trying to build a winning franchise, and adding a fierce competitor like Marcus Smart to the equation would make sense, especially since Sacramento is desperately in need of backcourt depth.

  8. Detroit Pistons: Noah Vonleh, PF, Indiana, 6-10, Fr.
The Pistons are one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the league, so they could use a long-range threat here. However, Vonleh's upside is too good to pass up especially with Greg Monroe being a restricted free agent this summer.

  9. Cleveland Cavaliers: Doug McDermott, SF, Creighton, 6-8, Sr.
With Luol Deng, C.J. Miles, and Alonzo Gee all likely headed to free agency, the Cavs have a hole to plug at small forward. Doug McDermott is an extremely efficient scorer who would be a nice complementary piece on the wing alongside Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters.

  10. Philadelphia 76ers: Gary Harris, SG, Michigan State, 6-4, Soph.
The Sixers could use a future backcourt mate to Michael Carter-Williams. Gary Harris is a talented all-around scorer who iscapable of getting after it defensively as well.

Philadelphia owns the Pelicans' pick (top-five protected) from the Jrue Holiday trade. Go here to see all of the outstanding 2014 NBA Draft Trades.

  11. Denver Nuggets: Dario Saric, SF, Croatia, 6-10, 1993
The Nuggets likely snag the best available player in this scenario. Dario Saric is a versatile forward who can stretch defenses with his outside shooting.

Denver owns the Knicks' pick from the Carmelo Anthony trade. Go here to see all of the outstanding 2014 NBA Draft Trades.

  12. Orlando Magic: Tyler Ennis, PG, Syracuse, 6-2, Fr.
A very mature young point guard for his age, Tyler Ennis plays with great poise and knows when to be a distributor or a scorer. He lacks ideal NBA athleticism, but the Magic could use a true floor general since the organization holds a team option on Jameer Nelson's contract for next season.

Orlando owns the Nuggets' from the Dwight Howard four-team trade. Go here to see all of the outstanding 2014 NBA Draft Trades.

  13. Minnesota Timberwolves: Adreian Payne, PF, Michigan State, 6-10, Sr.
Adreian Payne is an inside/outside threat who is explosive at the rim but can also knock down perimeter jumpers. He would add some needed scoring punch to the Timberwolves' bench.

  14. Phoenix Suns: Rodney Hood, SF, Duke, 6-8, Soph.
The Suns' biggest focus with their three first-round picks will be adding talent to the wing. The former Mississippi State transfer has a smooth stroke from the outside but can also rise at the rim.

  15. Atlanta Hawks: Kyle Anderson, G/F, UCLA, 6-9, Soph.
Kyle Anderson is one of the more unique prospects in recent years, since he is really a point guard in a forward's body. Scouts either love him or question how he will transition to the next level, but the Hawks could use a small forward/point forward type of player.
