2014 Fantasy Football - It's All About Value:
Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Tight Ends | Defenses | Kickers
Who cares??? Why are we even still using Kickers in fantasy football!!! UGGHHH!!! Seriously, we need to start a movement to eliminate kickers from fantasy football.
Anyways, since most of you are in fantasy leagues that require kickers, here is my advice … if one of these guys is still on the board when you select in the “next-to-last” round of your draft, and if you already have your starting defense, then draft one of these guys:
– Steve Hauschka (SEA)
– Stephen Gostkowski (NE)
– Mason Crosby (GB)
If not, then wait until the last round. In that last round, just select whichever kicker you think is the best.
As far as valued kickers, there are four guys who I think that are “safe” picks that all seem to be drafted later than most kickers:
– Nick Novak (SD)
– Graham Gano (CAR)
– Justin Tucker (BAL)
– Blair Walsh (MIN)
It is likely that at least two of these guys would have gone undrafted in your league, but all four of these guys are likely to finish as top-10 Kickers in 2014. But if some other kicker is available in the last round who you happen to think is going to be better, then feel free to draft that kicker.
And please, do not draft a backup kicker unless you can’t use the waiver wire in your league.
CONCLUSION- So there you have it! Those are all my thoughts on the value plays at each position.
