NFL Week 3 Fantasy Football Rankings

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy QB rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season. If you don't like my rankings, check out Chet's fantasy football rankings.

The rankings are based on a scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com's projected stats and standard scoring points.

But who do I start...

Updated - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons (at Lions)- 25 Points
310 Passing Yards, 3 Pass TDs, 10 Rushing Yards.
Matt Ryan could be missing his right tackle, but he should be able to dissect Detroit's pedestrian defense.

  2. Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers (vs. Bengals)- 24 Points
280 Passing Yards, 3 Pass TDs, 1 INT, 30 Rushing Yards.
Aaron Rodgers will have better pass protection this week if one of his tackles returns. He'll have a big game against the Vontaze Burfict-less Bengals.

  3. Tom Brady, QB, Patriots (vs. Texans)- 22 Points
310 Passing Yards, 3 Pass TDs, 1 INT.
Tom Brady has a much more difficult matchup this week, but he'll still be a top play.

  4. Derek Carr, QB, Raiders (at Redskins)- 20 Points
280 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 10 Rushing Yards.
The Redskins have some major issues at safety Derek Carr should be able to exploit.

  5. Cam Newton, QB, Panthers (vs. Saints)- 19 Points
270 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT, 40 Rushing Yards.
Cam Newton has a very easy matchup, but he's missing his best weapon. Plus, he's hurt. With all that in mind, however, I wouldn't hesitate to use him against the Saints.

  6. Carson Wentz, QB, Eagles (vs. Giants)- 18 Points
310 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 2 INTs, 20 Rushing Yards.
Carson Wentz just eclipsed 300 yards against a tough defense, so I wouldn't hesitate to start him.

  7. Drew Brees, QB, Saints (at Panthers)- 18 Points
310 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT.
Drew Brees' pass protection is poor at the moment, which would explain his lacking production. He'll need Zach Strief back this week.

  8. Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks (at Titans)- 18 Points
240 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT, 40 Rushing Yards.
The Titans have holes in their secondary that can be exposed, but Russell Wilson may not have time.

  9. Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers (at Bears)- 18 Points
310 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT.
Ben Roethlisberger hasn't quite been himself, and he historically hasn't been as good on the road.

  10. Jameis Winston, QB, Bucs (at Vikings)- 17 Points
300 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 30 Rushing Yards.
Jameis Winston has a much tougher matchup this week against Minnesota's defense.

  11. Matthew Stafford, QB, Lions (vs. Falcons)- 17 Points
330 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 20 Rushing Yards.
Matthew Stafford could have a huge game, especially if there's plenty of garbage time.

  12. Kirk Cousins, QB, Redskins (vs. Raiders)- 17 Points
280 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT.
Washington's offensive line isn't protecting as well as it should right now, which is impacting Kirk Cousins' fantasy numbers. However, he has a nice matchup this week.

  13. Carson Palmer, QB, Cardinals (vs. Cowboys)- 16 Points
250 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT.
I expect Arizona to play much better at home, and Carson Palmer has a nice matchup versus Dallas.

  14. Philip Rivers, QB, Chargers (vs. Chiefs)- 16 Points
310 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 2 INTs.
Philip Rivers is an OK play against the Chiefs, but only because there could be garbage-time yardage.

  15. Alex Smith, QB, Chiefs (at Chargers)- 16 Points
250 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 20 Rushing Yards.

  16. Jay Cutler, QB, Dolphins (at Jets)- 16 Points
300 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 2 INTs.

  17. Sam Bradford, QB, Vikings (vs. Buccaneers)- 16 Points
310 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD.
Sam Bradford was limited in Wednesday's practice.

  18. Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys (at Cardinals)- 15 Points
260 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 30 Rushing Yards.
Dak Prescott has posted middling numbers thus far, and things won't get much easier against an angry Arizona defense.

  19. Marcus Mariota, QB, Titans (vs. Seahawks)- 15 Points
240 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 40 Rushing Yards.
Marcus Mariota will find it difficult to move the chains against Seattle's fierce defense.

  20. Andy Dalton, QB, Bengals (at Packers)- 14 Points
260 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 2 INTs, 10 Rushing Yards.

  21. Trevor Siemian, QB, Broncos (at Bills)- 14 Points
230 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 10 Rushing Yards.

  22. Jared Goff, QB, Rams (at 49ers)- 14 Points
290 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 10 Rushing Yards.

  23. Deshaun Watson, QB, Texans (at Patriots)- 13 Points
210 Passing Yards, 2 INTs, 40 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.

  24. Jacoby Brissett, QB, Colts (vs. Browns)- 12 Points
210 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 30 Rushing Yards.

  25. Mike Glennon, QB, Bears (vs. Steelers)- 11 Points
230 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT.

  26. DeShone Kizer, QB, Browns (at Colts)- 11 Points
200 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 2 INTs, 40 Rushing Yards.

  27. Eli Manning, QB, Giants (at Eagles)- 11 Points
260 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT.

  28. Brian Hoyer, QB, 49ers (vs. Rams)- 10 Points
210 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT.

  29. Joe Flacco, QB, Ravens (at Jaguars)- 10 Points
220 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT.

  30. Blake Bortles, QB, Jaguars (vs. Ravens)- 9 Points
190 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 2 INTs, 20 Rushing Yards.

  31. Tyrod Taylor, QB, Bills (vs. Broncos)- 8 Points
190 Passing Yards, 1 INT, 30 Rushing Yards.

  32. Josh McCown, QB, Jets (vs. Dolphins)- 8 Points
220 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 2 INTs.

  33. Andrew Luck, QB, Colts (vs. Browns)- 0 Points

    Likely out for Sunday's game.
