I think this team is getting vastly overrated, being built up by the ESPN hype machine. Granted, they have added several elite talents, and their CB corps is frightening and probably has Tony Romo and Eli Manning crying themselves to sleep at night (John Beck cries cause he sucks in the first place), but what kind of chemistry will all this talent have with a lockout shortened off season? That's where I don't trust this team. Well that and I trust Vick about as far as I can throw a pitbull. Possibly the most overrated player ever going into a season

The Eagles are solid, but the Packers are the favorite to return to the SB in my mind.

Lets go level by level....

Vick is aging (turning 32), last year was a fluke, he wont be as good. He slowed just after 12 games significantly. He has never stayed healthy. He will not throw over 55% completions or have a better then a 1.5:1 td:int. Lets see if he can recover his legs, they could be knocked out from under him quick.
VY is a solid back up but wont learn the system. He will improv and make mistakes. I would not want him starting any games in a fresh system not built for him.
The running game is lacking. It has no power, and cant be used in the goal line.
The Receivers. All vertical no one for over the middle. DJ is holding out right now. He also can do anything but fade routes.
The O-Line is aged and a patch job. There isnt a blind side protector and you are relying on rookies to step up.
The d-line is also old. Cole is a solid player and Jenkins can be good. Jenkins is a 30 year old injury prone player. He has had motivational issues in the past.
Linebacker are young and not talented or physically gifted.
You have 3 amazing corners, you will use two moe often then 3. While they are good CB's Asuante has lost a step, DRC has been blown the last season giving up many passes and Nnamdi is solid but he does have somewhere around 7.2 ypc against.
The safetys are unproven and weak. They are not dominating presence.
DRC will not play safety; he hs poor zone skills and isnt exactly a great fit in the nickel either.
Rookie punter and Kicker, very hard to deal with. Remember Matt Dodge????
Replacing a pro bowler in the return game will hurt (Higgins will be the return man).
The entire team is old and only getting older so the window is shrinking.

A solid team but many flaws and holes. No Superbowl for you.

One of the best things about football is that you can't buy rings like you can in other sports. The Eagles have had a great offseason and will undoubtedly make the playoffs, but the blueprint to stop Vick has been laid down already, and if Vick is stopped the offense is stopped.

Dog killer is not a winner and I don't think the offense will be as good

look at the redskins year in and year out. free agency hardly helps your team. pretty much zilch. the eagles could befall the black plague for all we now. why would you say super bowl in the offseason

Offseason winner =/= Season winner.

I doubt they even win the division. plus they gotta make way for the bucs!

As a packer fan from 2004 season and my friend a Redskin fan, Ilearned that u cant win threw Free Agent, 1 or 2 every 5 years is Green Bay is what won the super bowl. Raider CB have been good(Charles Woodson) while Packer FA haven't(Ahman Green, Andre Rison, Javon Walker). FA is not win. LOSE EAGLES LOSE. BAD STUPID MOVES.

As an Eagles fan, I really think all of this hype needs to slow down. Of course I am excited about all the moves they made this off-season, but I don't think we should all be declaring them Super Bowl champions already. Their offensive line is terrible and their linebackers are young. Teams also seemed to get better at defending Vick as the season moved on. With that said, I stil believe they have what it takes to make a run, but let's not jump the gun people.

Where did this hype train suddenly come from? When was the last time when a team bought a championship? They're gonna be a threat sure, but I don't even think of them as the best team in the NFC.

it will be hard to even win the division or wild card spot. so i would wait with sb predictions. how many times were these right in july anyway. to say it is 'sure' or 'definate' just shows the naivity of such people
