Definitely good, strong points Chase. Richard Bisaccia will improve their special teams and they do have the best team in the West, but they have a terrible coach and they are very prone to upsets. If we're going off sheer talent, then San Diego absolutely takes the cake, but if we're going on the inevitable blunders for every team in this division, it's really a toss up. The only team where I'd be slightly surprised if they won the division is the Raiders. With all the talent they lost along with a new Head Coach, it could be another rough year. Like you said, if Cassel can take that leap forward, and the talent's there, then the Cheifs could repeat. The Broncos have a ton of question marks coming into the season. Who will finish the season at QB? Will Broderick Bunkley (whatever his name is) help? Will Elvis Dumervil have a season similar to his 2009 performance? How will the switch to the 4-3 go? So right now, the edge does go to San Diego, I just have that gut feeling that they'll screw up a golden opportunity like they usually do. But right now I don't really know what to expect. Don't you just love football season?

Nick, I think u have to take into account the fact that their special teams was terrible last season. I figuere that to be much improved next year. They also have a great offense and above average defense. Top that off with an easy division like u said and u have a 10 win team. Also i hate the raiders. very overrated, an overperforming team who lost their best player... no thank you. Broncos have no qb. dont need to go farther than that. Cheifs could challenge if cassel finally takes a step forward

No problem Chase, I've been called worse. I don't think the Chargers will win more than 10 games though. The Chargers are definitely the most talented team in the West, but somehow they just find a way to lose games. Either way like I said, I wouldn't be surprised to see any team take the division. But I wouldn't advise anybody to put their money on the Broncos this season.

I'm gonna be bold and pick the Broncos. Every thing's pointed against them, but they have the talent, it just needs to be brought out of the players. They could be a Bucs-like team, but luckily for them they don't have to play in the NFC South. I mean come on, are the Raiders really going to get it together with Hue Jackson? Not this year. Are the Chiefs as good as their record indicated? No, they aren't bad but they won't be able to keep up with their harder schedule. And are the Chargers going to be able to win the division with Ron Rivera gone and Norv Turner still coaching? There's always a shocker team or two, I think the Broncos will be one. Especially since Kyle Orton's back. But I do agree with Walter, there's no way in hell Kyle Orton will win a playoff game or at least go deep into the playoffs. I could see the Broncos losing in the Wild Card round as a number 4 seed. Here's how I think the standings will pan out.

1.Den 9-7 (seed 4)
2.SD 8-8
3.KC 6-10
4.Oak 5-11

But it's really up in the air. I wouldn't be too surprised to see any team take this division. No matter what though, I don't see any team in the division winning more than 10 games.

All the teams suck enough to where it's wide open enough for any of them. However, I'm am confident in saying that any one of these teams could easily win the NFC West.

The second and third comments were from someone using the same name as I used, but I do agree with him. SD WILL win the division, and Tebow will be out in Denver in a couple of years. Dude doesn't have what it takes to play in the NFL, screw the "drive to win crap"...

EVERY QB (not named Jamarcus) has that same drive. If Tebow's desire to win was so great how come he is second string behind Kyle freaking Orton? I'll bet anything his jersey sales are the only thing keeping him from being the 3rd stringer/emergency QB.

I loved the Raiders last year, but in the offseason they got rid of a lot of their stars and spent tons on bad players when they needed to do it the other way around. This will be way too easy for the chargers this year.
