NFL Week 3 Fantasy Football Rankings

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy RB rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season. If you don't like my rankings, check out Chet's fantasy football rankings.

The rankings are based on a PPR scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com's projected stats and standard scoring points.

Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings - PPR: RB | WR | TE | FLEX

But who do I start...

Updated - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Todd Gurley, RB, Rams (at 49ers)- 24 Points
110 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Todd Gurley has been heavily involved in the passing game once again, which is good because he's not finding much running room.

  2. Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs (at Chargers)- 22 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Kareem Hunt will cool down eventually, but he should play well against the Chargers again.

  3. Le'Veon Bell, RB, Steelers (at Bears)- 22 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bears have a strong run defense, but it's not like you're going to sit Le'Veon Bell, or anything.

  4. Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers (vs. Chiefs)- 21 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Melvin Gordon may have to do most of his work as a pass-catcher out of the backfield.

  5. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers (vs. Saints)- 20 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Christian McCaffrey has a much easier matchup this week. He could have a breakout performance.

  6. Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears (vs. Steelers)- 19 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Tarik Cohen looks like the new Darren Sproles, and he can be started in all PPR leagues, especially with Jordan Howard banged up.

  7. Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys (at Cardinals)- 19 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Dallas' offensive line isn't what it used to be, but Ezekiel Elliott won't be completely shut down again.

  8. Jay Ajayi, RB, Dolphins (at Jets)- 19 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The one thing the Jets aren't horrible at doing is stopping the run. That said, Jay Ajayi could still have a big game.

  9. Carlos Hyde, RB, 49ers (vs. Rams)- 18 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Robert Kelley just had some success against the Rams, so I like Carlos Hyde's chances.

  10. LeSean McCoy, RB, Bills (vs. Broncos)- 18 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Broncos just blanked Ezekiel Elliott, so LeSean McCoy could be in trouble. He'll have to get his fantasy points as a receiver out of the backfield.

  11. C.J. Anderson, RB, Broncos (at Bills)- 18 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bills did well against the run last week, but C.J. Anderson provides a much tougher test than Jonathan Stewart.

  12. Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons (at Lions)- 18 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Lions have a solid front line that could limit Devonta Freeman a bit, but Freeman could easily score a touchdown.

  13. Ty Montgomery, RB, Packers (vs. Bengals)- 18 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bengals have struggled versus the run thus far, so I like Ty Montgomery in this spot.

  14. Leonard Fournette, RB, Jaguars (vs. Ravens)- 17 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Baltimore has a fierce stop unit, but Leonard Fournette could find his way into the end zone again.

  15. Marshawn Lynch, RB, Raiders (at Redskins)- 15 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Marshawn Lynch has had a nice start to his Raiders' career. The Redskins seemingly have a nice run defense, but Lynch could score a touchdown or two.

  16. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings (vs. Buccaneers)- 15 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bears struggled to run on the Buccaneers' improved defensive line, and I imagine Dalvin Cook will have similar issues. I'd still start him as a RB2 though.

  17. Isaiah Crowell, RB, Browns (at Colts)- 13 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Colts aren't horrible against the run because of Johnathan Hankins, but Cleveland's offensive line should still win most of the battles in the trenches.

  18. Frank Gore, RB, Colts (vs. Browns)- 13 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Frank Gore could score another touchdown against a Cleveland run defense that couldn't contain Baltimore's running backs.

  19. Duke Johnson, RB, Browns (at Colts)- 12 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
Duke Johnson seems ready for more receptions in the wake of Corey Coleman's injury.

  20. Darren Sproles, RB, Eagles (vs. Giants)- 12 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

  21. Ameer Abdullah, RB, Lions (vs. Falcons)- 12 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Enjoy Ameer Abdullah while he's healthy!

  22. Theo Riddick, RB, Lions (vs. Falcons)- 12 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.

  23. Chris Thompson, RB, Redskins (vs. Raiders)- 12 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.

  24. Matt Forte, RB, Jets (vs. Dolphins)- 11 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  25. Jonathan Stewart, RB, Panthers (vs. Saints)- 11 Points
    50 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
Fire Jonathan Stewart up against the Saints.

  26. Mike Gillislee, RB, Patriots (vs. Texans)- 11 Points
    50 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
It's unclear which running back will be featured this week, but it appears as though Mike Gillislee will get the goal-line work.

  27. Rex Burkhead, RB, Patriots (vs. Texans)- 11 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
With some injuries on offense, Rex Burkhead can be started in PPR leagues.

  28. Buck Allen, RB, Ravens (at Jaguars)- 11 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Buck Allen appears to be the lead back in Baltimore's committee.

  29. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints (at Panthers)- 11 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

  30. Mark Ingram, RB, Saints (at Panthers)- 10 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
The Panthers just put the clamps on LeSean McCoy.

  31. Giovani Bernard, RB, Bengals (at Packers)- 9 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  32. Bilal Powell, RB, Jets (vs. Dolphins)- 9 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
It's unclear why Todd Bowles isn't starting Bilal Powell.

  33. Lamar Miller, RB, Texans (at Patriots)- 9 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Lamar Miller isn't getting any sort of run blocking, so he's not a great option.

  34. DeMarco Murray, RB, Titans (vs. Seahawks)- 9 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
DeMarco Murray is banged up, so he may lose touches to Derrick Henry this week.

  35. Jordan Howard, RB, Bears (vs. Steelers)- 8 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Jordan Howard had his arm in a sling at the end of the game, so his Week 3 status is in doubt. Howard was limited in Wednesday's practice.

  36. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals (at Packers)- 8 Points
    80 Rushing Yards.
Joe Mixon handled most of the workload late in the Houston game, so perhaps that's a sign of things to come.

  37. Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Bucs (at Vikings)- 8 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
It might be difficult for Jacquizz Rodgers to run against Minnesota's stout defensive front.

  38. Tevin Coleman, RB, Falcons (at Lions)- 8 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  39. Shane Vereen, RB, Giants (at Eagles)- 8 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  40. James White, RB, Patriots (vs. Texans)- 8 Points
    5 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  41. Jamaal Charles, RB, Broncos (at Bills)- 7 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  42. LeGarrette Blount, RB, Eagles (vs. Giants)- 7 Points
    10 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
LeGarrette Blount didn't get a single carry last week. Cut him.

  43. DeAndre Washington, RB, Raiders (at Redskins)- 7 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  44. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks (at Titans)- 7 Points
    70 Rushing Yards.

  45. Chris Johnson, RB, Cardinals (vs. Cowboys)- 6 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Chris Johnson is playing ahead of Kerwynn Williams, but it doesn't matter.

  46. Terrance West, RB, Ravens (at Jaguars)- 6 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  47. Robert Kelley, RB, Redskins (vs. Raiders)- 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.
Robert Kelley is day to day with an injury.

  48. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans (vs. Seahawks)- 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.

  49. Matt Breida, RB, 49ers (vs. Rams)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  50. Charles Sims, RB, Bucs (at Vikings)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  51. Charcandrick West, RB, Chiefs (at Chargers)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  52. Wendell Smallwood, RB, Eagles (vs. Giants)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  53. Dion Lewis, RB, Patriots (vs. Texans)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  54. C.J. Prosise, RB, Seahawks (at Titans)- 5 Points
    3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  55. Jerick McKinnon, RB, Vikings (vs. Buccaneers)- 5 Points
    3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  56. Branden Oliver, RB, Chargers (vs. Chiefs)- 4 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  57. Orleans Darkwa, RB, Giants (at Eagles)- 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.

  58. Jalen Richard, RB, Raiders (at Redskins)- 4 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  59. Samaje Perine, RB, Redskins (vs. Raiders)- 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.
Samaje Perine should be added, but Robert Kelley could still start this week.

  60. Adrian Peterson, RB, Saints (at Panthers)- 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.
Adrian Peterson isn't being used much.

  61. Thomas Rawls, RB, Seahawks (at Titans)- 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.

  62. Marlon Mack, RB, Colts (vs. Browns)- 3 Points
    30 Rushing Yards.

  63. Malcolm Brown, RB, Rams (at 49ers)- 3 Points
    30 Rushing Yards.

  64. Jeremy Hill, RB, Bengals (at Packers)- 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.

  65. Mike Tolbert, RB, Bills (vs. Broncos)- 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.

  66. Kerwynn Williams, RB, Cardinals (vs. Cowboys)- 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.

  67. Alfred Morris, RB, Cowboys (at Cardinals)- 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.

  68. Damien Williams, RB, Dolphins (at Jets)- 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.

  69. Paul Perkins, RB, Giants (at Eagles)- 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.
The Giants can't open up running lanes for Paul Perkins.

  70. Chris Ivory, RB, Jaguars (vs. Ravens)- 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.

  71. Zach Zenner, RB, Lions (vs. Falcons)- 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.

  72. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks (at Titans)- 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.
Chris Carson appears to be Seattle's lead back, but he faces a tough test this week.

  73. D'Onta Foreman, RB, Texans (at Patriots)- 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.

  74. Robert Turbin, RB, Colts (vs. Browns)- 1 Points
