Kirby Van Der Kamp, P, Iowa State
Height: 6-5. Weight: 222.
Projected Round (2014): 5-7.
5/5/14: In 2013, Van Der Kamp averaged 41.6 yards per punt with a long of 65 yards. He could be the first specialist selected. Van Der Kamp is the consensus top punter in the 2014 NFL Draft.
8/20/13: Van Der Kamp averaged 41 yards per punt in 2012 with 29 punts inside the 20-yard line for Iowa State. He had 10 punts of 50 yards or more. Van Der Kamp averaged 43 yards per punt in 2011 with 15 of 50+ yards and 21 punts placed inside the 20-yard line.

Pat O’Donnell, P, Miami
Height: 6-5. Weight: 222.
Projected Round (2014): 5-7.
5/5/14: O’Donnell played well for the Hurricanes in 2013. He averaged 47.1 yards per punt with a long of 71 yards. O’Donnell could end up being the first punter selected.
8/20/13: O’Donnell spent three years punting for Cincinnati, but he transfered to Miami this spring and is eligible to play right away. As a junior for the Bearcats, O’Donnell averaged 42 yards per punt. He averaged 44 yards per punt in 2011. O’Donnell averaged 42 yards per punt as a freshman in 2010. -
Cody Webster, P, Purdue
Height: 6-1. Weight: 210.
Projected Round (2014): 6-FA.
5/5/14: Purdue got a lot of use out of Webster’s leg as he had 70 punts in 2013. Webster averaged 43.5 yards per punt with a long of 73 yards. He was one of the finalists for the Ray Guy Award in 2013.
8/20/13: Webster averaged 43 yards per punt as a junior and was one of the nation’s leaders in attempts with 70 punts. He punted a lot in 2011 as Purdue did not feature a high-scoring offense. Webster averaged 42.9 yards on 45 punts that season. The sophomore downed 11 inside the 20 with 13 punts over 50 yards. Webster averaged 43.3 yards on 47 punts in 2010. He had 17 punts over 50 yards with 12 inside the 20.

Tom Hornsey, P, Memphis
Height: 6-3. Weight: 195.
Projected Round (2014): 6-FA.
5/5/14: Hornsey won the Ray Guy Award as the nation’s best punter. In 2013, he averaged 45.2 yards per punt with a long of 79 yards.
8/20/13: Hornsey averaged 43.43 yards per punt with 25-of-60 landing inside the 20-yard line (42 percent) in 2012. If he can increase his average in 2013, it would help him get drafted.
Hornsey practically wore out his leg with 95 punts in 2011. He averaged 42 yards per punt. Hornsey had only five go into the end zone for touchbacks with 23 punts downed inside the 20. He had 19 punts go beyond 50 yards.

Brian Schmiedebusch, P, Bowling Green
Height: 6-3. Weight: 226.
Projected Round (2014): 7-FA.
5/5/13: Schmiedebush averaged 39.8 yards per punt in 2013 with a long of 56 yards.
8/20/13: Schmiedebusch saw his his average distance drop significantly in 2012 as he averaged 40.8 yards per punt. Schmiedebusch averaged 45.3 yards per punt in 2011 with a long of 81 yards. He previously played linebacker at a lower level in college football.

Kyle Christy*, P, Florida
Height: 6-2. Weight: 200.
Projected Round (2014): FA.
5/5/14: Christy had an ugly start to the season, averaging only 40.2 yards per punt. He also dropped a punt against Tennessee and set up the Volunteers deep in Florida territory. Will Muschamp benched Christy for freshman Johnny Townsend.
8/20/13: Christy took the punting job for 2012 after Chas Henry moved on to the NFL and has continued the trend of standout specialists from Florida. Christy finished fifth in the nation with 45.8 yards per punt. He made a real impact in field position as the Gators had a good defense but a streaky offense.
