2011 NBA Mock Draft
2010 NBA Mock Draft
2009 NBA Mock Re-Draft
Updated: June 28, 2012.
Team needs and outstanding trades HAVE been taken into account with this mock draft.
-
Charlotte Bobcats: Festus Ezeli, C, Vanderbilt, 6-11, Sr.
The Bobcats add some more size inside; small forward could also be an option.
-
Washington Wizards: Evan Fournier, SG, France, 6-6, 1992
Drafting a foreign talent like Evan Fournier and stashing him overseas for a year or two would make sense.
-
Cleveland Cavaliers: Tyshawn Taylor, PG, Kansas, 6-4, Sr.
Tyshawn Taylor could fill a void at point guard behind Kyrie Irving, but also play with him at times, too.
-
Cleveland Cavaliers: Drew Gordon, PF, New Mexico, 6-9, Sr.
The Cavaliers need to add some depth to their frontcourt.
-
Golden State Warriors: Scott Machado, PG, Iona, 6-2, Sr.
The Warriors could use a true distributor behind Stephen Curry.
-
Sacramento Kings: Miles Plumlee, C, Duke, 7-0, Sr.
It pains me to put Miles Plumlee in my mock draft since he was pretty worthless during his time at Duke. However, NBA teams love size and athleticism which Plumlee possesses.
-
Toronto Raptors: Darius Miller, G/F, Kentucky, 6-7, Sr.
Darius Miller is the ultimate glue guy and could find a role off the bench for the Raptors.
-
Denver Nuggets: Doron Lamb, SG, Kentucky, 6-5, So.
Doron Lamb is just too good of a value for the Nuggets to pass up here, and I can't believe Lamb is going to fall this low.
-
Detroit Pistons: Darius Johnson-Odom, SG, Marquette, 6-3, Sr.
The Pistons have a need for a scoring shooting guard since trading Ben Gordon.
-
Portland Blazers: Jae Crowder, SF, Marquette, 6-6, Sr.
The Blazers are looking for depth at small forward since trading Gerald Wallace.
-
Portland Blazers: Henry Sims, C, Georgetown, 7-0, Sr.
The Blazers don't have a true center under contract for next season.
-
Milwaukee Bucks: Kim English, G/F, Missouri, 6-6, Sr.
Kim English is a versatile talent, and the Bucks need some depth on the wing.
-
Atlanta Hawks: Jared Cunningham, SG, Oregon State, 6-5, Jr.
Again, the Hawks need depth all over since they only have six players under contract for next season.
-
Detroit Pistons: Tomas Sotaransky, SG, Czech Republic, 6-8, 1991
The Pistons go the foreign route with their third pick of the draft.
-
Philadelphia 76ers: Kevin Murphy, SG, Tennessee Tech, 6-6, Sr.
The Sixers grab a shooter since Jodie Meeks is a restricted free agent.
-
New Orleans Hornets: Kris Joseph, SF, Syracuse, 6-7, Sr.
Trading Trevor Ariza created a need for depth at small forward.
-
Utah Jazz: Orlando Johnson, SG, UC-Santa Barbara, 6-5, Sr.
The Jazz should be looking for depth on the wing since C.J. Miles and Josh Howard are free agents.
-
New York Knicks: Kevin Jones, PF, West Virginia, 6-7, Sr.
The Knicks need depth all over and take the best player available.
-
Orlando Magic: Khris Middleton, SF, Texas A&M, 6-8, Jr.
Orlando likely takes the best player on the board at this point.
-
Denver Nuggets: Kostas Papanikolaou, SF, Greece, 6-8, 1990
Since their core is under contract for next season, the Nuggets could go the foreign route again.
-
Boston Celtics: William Buford, SG, Ohio State, 6-5, Sr.
The Celtics should look to add a shooter with one of their three picks given that Ray Allen is a free agent.
-
Golden State Warriors: Furkan Aldemir, PF, Turkey, 6-9, 1991
The Warriors go the foreign route with their fourth pick of the draft.
-
Los Angeles Clippers: Bernard James, C, Florida State, 6-10, Sr.
The Clippers need depth on the wing and in their frontcourt. Ergo, the team takes the best available player for one of those spots.
-
Philadelphia 76ers: Tornike Shengelia, SF, Georgia, 6-9, 1991
The 76ers have three picks in the draft, so going the foreign route makes sense.
-
Dallas Mavericks: Hollis Thompson, SF, Georgetown, 6-8, Jr.
Hollis Thompson is a solid value here for a team looking for depth on the wing.
-
Toronto Raptors: Leon Radosevic, F/C, Croatia, 6-10, 1991
The Raptors go the foreign route with their third pick of the draft.
-
Brooklyn Nets: Mike Scott, F, Virginia, 6-8, Sr.
The Nets need depth all over, especially at forward since Gerald Wallace and Kris Humphries are free agents.
-
Minnesota Timberwolves: Kyle O'Quinn, C, Norfolk State, 6-10, Sr.
Darko is not the long-term solution as Minnesota's backup center.
-
San Antonio Spurs: Marcus Denmon, SG, Missouri, 6-3, Sr.
The Spurs always seem to find second-round steals; that's exactly what Marcus Denmon could be at this point.
-
Los Angeles Lakers: Tu Holloway, PG, Xavier, 6-0, Sr.
The Lakers continue to look for an answer at point guard, especially since Ramon Sessions will be a free agent.

I guarantee that whatever top 15 team that takes a chance by drafting marquis Teague will not regret it. He is a star! In the NCAA tourney, no one was more big time than Teague. Portland, this is your warning.

waiters has been flying up draft boards. like you ive had him up there about mid way through this season. can get to the rim at virtually any point, showed a nice ability to find an assist in the paint, can make his own shot, and despite the zone showed great instincts and quickness on defense. if he can develop his jumpshot and passing he will be a star. I get why he is ahead of lamb, lamb disappeared at time this year. which is tough because do to the kemba loss, he essentially was destined to become the man at uconn, he just never did

I think the hornets will pass on Rivers for two reasons
First they need a point guard of the future and someone to feed Anthony Davis the ball. Either Lillard or Marshall is in play. Second. The Hornets would be sending Eric Gordon a bad message by picking Rivers because EG might be thinking that the Hornets are trying to upgrade him. If I where the Hornets, I would give a scorer like Lillard a shot

The Milwaukee Bucks have a reputation for screwing up draft choices. In this case they should go for the best player available regardless of position. They need some one physical, and can rebound as well as play defense. However this type player would not be available at the 12th pick.

I agree with Greg... Parts of this mock make no sense at all. Moultrie at 9 instead of Sullinger or Henson? Moultrie will be lucky to go higher than 15, if that.Waiters ahead of Lamb, Lillard and Rivers? Maybe Rivers, but not Lamb and Lillard.

cavs should talk to prtland about trading their 4 and 24 for ports 6 and 11. we then draft harrison barnes (PJ3 if barnes not available) then jeremy lamb or a big like moultrie or leonard. if things go as i hope then we have lineup of
1. kyrie irving 2. jeremy lamb 3. harrison barnes 4. tristan thomspon 5. anderson varejao that is a playoff bound lineup and a future championship contending lineup

What I think the lakers should do is sign Andrew Bynum but trade pau gasol because Bynum is still young and gasol isn't getting any younger. If they trade gasol, than they can get some draft picks to pick up a point guard which they definitely need.

This was solid.. Ive been VERY high on Waiters from Syracuse for monthes... Dude will be really good... I also appreciate the love for all my Mizzou players.. all 3 of them def deserve a shot at the next level.. Beal is gonna be a Baller.. perfect next to Wall or Irving cuz they are both big 1's who score alot too.. I think Beal will develope his handles alot more and be a great combo guard... they'll be able to switch on the perimeter and also create shots for others from each side of the court

Parts of this mock makes no sense! First at #2 the pick is MKG. Robinson and Bismack are both PF's! 3rd pick I think right now is Robinson then because he's 1 a DC native, two Jan Vesley can slide over to the 3 or be a 6th man. 4 Cavs Beal then. Dion Waiters over Jeremy Lamb? No way dude. Lamb could go as high as 4 to Cleveland. Pistons aren't passing on Jared Sullinger.

I think Barnes to the Bobcats is a real possibility..they need a scoring wing player more then anything and Jordan would be able to draft a UNC superstar.

You saw the Bucks covet a "banger" inside, but since the Ellis/Bogut trade what has Milwaukee done? Run. No big man runs the floor better than Tyler Zeller. Plus if Ilyasova is retained (along with Gooden and Mbah a Moute) Milwaukee will ahve a very crowded PF position.

There is absolutely no way the Magic draft a Center unless Howard demands a trade again between now and the draft. The Magic seem to be doing everything they can to keep Howard, and drafting a project Center who won't be more than a backup unless Dwight leaves will do nothing to help convince him to stay. They need to draft someone who will play right away if they want to keep Dwight. Not someone who will be his backup and potential replacement

Robert Sacre is very underrated and should be taken. He is a better defender than Turiaf was at Gonzaga.
