2011 NBA Mock Draft
2010 NBA Mock Draft
2009 NBA Mock Re-Draft
Updated: June 28, 2012.
Team needs and outstanding trades HAVE been taken into account with this mock draft.
-
Charlotte Bobcats: Festus Ezeli, C, Vanderbilt, 6-11, Sr.
The Bobcats add some more size inside; small forward could also be an option.
-
Washington Wizards: Evan Fournier, SG, France, 6-6, 1992
Drafting a foreign talent like Evan Fournier and stashing him overseas for a year or two would make sense.
-
Cleveland Cavaliers: Tyshawn Taylor, PG, Kansas, 6-4, Sr.
Tyshawn Taylor could fill a void at point guard behind Kyrie Irving, but also play with him at times, too.
-
Cleveland Cavaliers: Drew Gordon, PF, New Mexico, 6-9, Sr.
The Cavaliers need to add some depth to their frontcourt.
-
Golden State Warriors: Scott Machado, PG, Iona, 6-2, Sr.
The Warriors could use a true distributor behind Stephen Curry.
-
Sacramento Kings: Miles Plumlee, C, Duke, 7-0, Sr.
It pains me to put Miles Plumlee in my mock draft since he was pretty worthless during his time at Duke. However, NBA teams love size and athleticism which Plumlee possesses.
-
Toronto Raptors: Darius Miller, G/F, Kentucky, 6-7, Sr.
Darius Miller is the ultimate glue guy and could find a role off the bench for the Raptors.
-
Denver Nuggets: Doron Lamb, SG, Kentucky, 6-5, So.
Doron Lamb is just too good of a value for the Nuggets to pass up here, and I can't believe Lamb is going to fall this low.
-
Detroit Pistons: Darius Johnson-Odom, SG, Marquette, 6-3, Sr.
The Pistons have a need for a scoring shooting guard since trading Ben Gordon.
-
Portland Blazers: Jae Crowder, SF, Marquette, 6-6, Sr.
The Blazers are looking for depth at small forward since trading Gerald Wallace.
-
Portland Blazers: Henry Sims, C, Georgetown, 7-0, Sr.
The Blazers don't have a true center under contract for next season.
-
Milwaukee Bucks: Kim English, G/F, Missouri, 6-6, Sr.
Kim English is a versatile talent, and the Bucks need some depth on the wing.
-
Atlanta Hawks: Jared Cunningham, SG, Oregon State, 6-5, Jr.
Again, the Hawks need depth all over since they only have six players under contract for next season.
-
Detroit Pistons: Tomas Sotaransky, SG, Czech Republic, 6-8, 1991
The Pistons go the foreign route with their third pick of the draft.
-
Philadelphia 76ers: Kevin Murphy, SG, Tennessee Tech, 6-6, Sr.
The Sixers grab a shooter since Jodie Meeks is a restricted free agent.
-
New Orleans Hornets: Kris Joseph, SF, Syracuse, 6-7, Sr.
Trading Trevor Ariza created a need for depth at small forward.
-
Utah Jazz: Orlando Johnson, SG, UC-Santa Barbara, 6-5, Sr.
The Jazz should be looking for depth on the wing since C.J. Miles and Josh Howard are free agents.
-
New York Knicks: Kevin Jones, PF, West Virginia, 6-7, Sr.
The Knicks need depth all over and take the best player available.
-
Orlando Magic: Khris Middleton, SF, Texas A&M, 6-8, Jr.
Orlando likely takes the best player on the board at this point.
-
Denver Nuggets: Kostas Papanikolaou, SF, Greece, 6-8, 1990
Since their core is under contract for next season, the Nuggets could go the foreign route again.
-
Boston Celtics: William Buford, SG, Ohio State, 6-5, Sr.
The Celtics should look to add a shooter with one of their three picks given that Ray Allen is a free agent.
-
Golden State Warriors: Furkan Aldemir, PF, Turkey, 6-9, 1991
The Warriors go the foreign route with their fourth pick of the draft.
-
Los Angeles Clippers: Bernard James, C, Florida State, 6-10, Sr.
The Clippers need depth on the wing and in their frontcourt. Ergo, the team takes the best available player for one of those spots.
-
Philadelphia 76ers: Tornike Shengelia, SF, Georgia, 6-9, 1991
The 76ers have three picks in the draft, so going the foreign route makes sense.
-
Dallas Mavericks: Hollis Thompson, SF, Georgetown, 6-8, Jr.
Hollis Thompson is a solid value here for a team looking for depth on the wing.
-
Toronto Raptors: Leon Radosevic, F/C, Croatia, 6-10, 1991
The Raptors go the foreign route with their third pick of the draft.
-
Brooklyn Nets: Mike Scott, F, Virginia, 6-8, Sr.
The Nets need depth all over, especially at forward since Gerald Wallace and Kris Humphries are free agents.
-
Minnesota Timberwolves: Kyle O'Quinn, C, Norfolk State, 6-10, Sr.
Darko is not the long-term solution as Minnesota's backup center.
-
San Antonio Spurs: Marcus Denmon, SG, Missouri, 6-3, Sr.
The Spurs always seem to find second-round steals; that's exactly what Marcus Denmon could be at this point.
-
Los Angeles Lakers: Tu Holloway, PG, Xavier, 6-0, Sr.
The Lakers continue to look for an answer at point guard, especially since Ramon Sessions will be a free agent.

My worst nightmare for Portland. Sullinger and Marshall. If the Blazers take either of these guys, I'm gonna lose my lunch.

I feel with our new GM Olshey that he will look at PG and Center . Possibly Lenoard from Illinois and Lillard from Weber St. And then maybe dealing the two seconds to move up and grab the best small forward .Like Henson .

I'd take Zeller and Jones in a heartbeat but I don't expect Zeller to still be on the board. I think he's top 10. I think Jeremy Lamb, Jones or Terance Ross will be the picks at 14 and 16.

So, you have the Heat drafting a player that they basically already have 2 of in Wade and LeBron. That makes a lot of sense, pick up another guy who really all he can do is attack the rim and struggle with midrange/outside shots...

Henson did terrible in his workout! Portland won't go the Sullinger route. I think they wanna trade out of 6. If not, it could be a slue of guards. Lillard, Waiters, Lamb, Marshall. Especially if Drummond is gone. Pistons have a big workout next week! My wish list (I'm a buckeye fan, so obviously I have bias and want Sully). But in order for us: Sullinger, Leonard, Henson, T Jones, Lamb. Jones is very intriguing cuz he can play both forward spots and we need help at both!

Blazers will NEVER draft Sullenger because front page news on ESPN says that several team doctors raised major red flags about his health.
http://espn.go.com/nba/draft2012/story/_/id/8069495/2012-nba-draft-docs-medically-red-flag-jared-sullinger-sources-say A team that lost Greg Oden AND Brandon Roy to injuries will not draft another player with such red flags.

if Terrence jones falls all the way to Boston's first pick I'll jump for joy. I've been high on him all year cause he's a do it all forward and fills a need for forward depth in case Jeff green goes elsewhere. I've been highly critical of melo for a while now because his upside as a defensive center didn't seem so appealing, but if he can become the anchor Boston needs in the middle (kinda like a Tyson chandler maybe?) then I think that It can be an okay pick. Boston has so many options in this years draft but if jones drops to us I hope we'll pounce

From an end-user point of view, this mock draft is the easiest to read. Nice to have the link to player summaries. Really good job guys. I hope Portland comes away with Kendall Marshal and Jared Sullinger. Andre Drummond will be a project for years.

The best Cleveland mock:
4-Bradley beal- a dynamic young running mate for kyrie. Scorers are out top priority. I like Robinson but I think he'll be Gone or if beals is available he's more of a need that is younger with a higher ceiling 14- I like the Houston trade: my pick though. Perry jones: pontentially a match up nightmare for teams and athletically a freak prefix player for Cleveland. Our team will energize him. 24- Quincy miller- another athletic freak with a high ceiling. He's lanky and a 6'10 SF Cleveland should sign the 2 players gmoney said I like that too! And we have a team with great talent!! Alot of growing to do bur I trust our organization to groom this team to a title contender

My Cleveland mock draft:
1a 4th- Thomas Robinson- not the ideal pick but I believe MKG and Beal will go 2 and 3 so we take the best available..and this guy will be a very good player to with kyrie running the pick n roll 1b 14th TRADE- cleveland sends Wild Thing and both 2nds for Houstons 14th pick. The pick is Jeremy lamb- we need scorers! This guy will be great for kyrie 1c 24th- Quincy miller- talent and potential ooze from him he tore his ACL but the talent and ability Is there he can score and is a 6'10 SF thats is lanky Summary: we also should sign a big center like Spencer hawed and Courtney lee as another SG but r future is very bright maybe looking toward a team of OKCs caliber after another draft or 2

Absolutely no way Jared Sullinger goes before Harrison Barnes. Portland will take Barnes at 6 ( if he's still there ) and then go big at 11. Maybe Leonard or Zeller. Another Buckeye big with ???? nah, trust me they aint passing on Barnes.
