NFL Week 3 Fantasy Football Rankings

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy FLEX rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season.

The rankings are based on a traditional scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com's projected stats and standard scoring points.

Updated - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Todd Gurley, RB, Rams (at 49ers)- 20 Points
110 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Todd Gurley has been heavily involved in the passing game once again, which is good because he's not finding much running room.

  2. Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs (at Chargers)- 17 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Kareem Hunt will cool down eventually, but he should play well against the Chargers again.

  3. Julio Jones, WR, Falcons (at Lions)- 17 Points
    8 Catches, 110 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Julio Jones figures to abuse the sorry Detroit secondary.

  4. Le'Veon Bell, RB, Steelers (at Bears)- 17 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bears have a strong run defense, but it's not like you're going to sit Le'Veon Bell, or anything.

  5. Carlos Hyde, RB, 49ers (vs. Rams)- 16 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Robert Kelley just had some success against the Rams, so I like Carlos Hyde's chances.

  6. Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers (vs. Chiefs)- 16 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Melvin Gordon may have to do most of his work as a pass-catcher out of the backfield.

  7. Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys (at Cardinals)- 16 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Dallas' offensive line isn't what it used to be, but Ezekiel Elliott won't be completely shut down again.

  8. Jay Ajayi, RB, Dolphins (at Jets)- 16 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The one thing the Jets aren't horrible at doing is stopping the run. That said, Jay Ajayi could still have a big game.

  9. Odell Beckham, WR, Giants (at Eagles)- 16 Points
    7 Catches, 100 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Odell Beckham Jr. figures to play at Philadelphia, and he has an easy matchup to boot.

  10. Antonio Brown, WR, Steelers (at Bears)- 16 Points
    7 Catches, 100 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Antonio Brown won't have to deal with Xavier Rhodes this week, so he should be back to his dominant self.

  11. A.J. Green, WR, Bengals (at Packers)- 15 Points
    6 Catches, 90 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Andy Dalton's pass protection sucks, but A.J. Green has a great matchup versus Green Bay's secondary.

  12. C.J. Anderson, RB, Broncos (at Bills)- 15 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bills did well against the run last week, but C.J. Anderson provides a much tougher test than Jonathan Stewart.

  13. DeVante Parker, WR, Dolphins (at Jets)- 15 Points
    7 Catches, 90 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
DeVante Parker should be able to abuse New York's horrible secondary.

  14. Ty Montgomery, RB, Packers (vs. Bengals)- 15 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bengals have struggled versus the run thus far, so I like Ty Montgomery in this spot.

  15. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers (vs. Saints)- 15 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Christian McCaffrey has a much easier matchup this week. He could have a breakout performance.

  16. Michael Thomas, WR, Saints (at Panthers)- 15 Points
    6 Catches, 90 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
There could be plenty of garbage-time opportunities for Michael Thomas to take advantage of.

  17. Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears (vs. Steelers)- 14 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Tarik Cohen looks like the new Darren Sproles, and he can be started in all PPR leagues, especially with Jordan Howard banged up.

  18. LeSean McCoy, RB, Bills (vs. Broncos)- 14 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Broncos just blanked Ezekiel Elliott, so LeSean McCoy could be in trouble. He'll have to get his fantasy points as a receiver out of the backfield.

  19. Mike Evans, WR, Bucs (at Vikings)- 14 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Mike Evans will have to deal with Xavier Rhodes this week. Rhodes limited Antonio Brown, but it's not like you can sit Evans.

  20. Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons (at Lions)- 14 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Lions have a solid front line that could limit Devonta Freeman a bit, but Freeman could easily score a touchdown.

  21. Leonard Fournette, RB, Jaguars (vs. Ravens)- 14 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Baltimore has a fierce stop unit, but Leonard Fournette could find his way into the end zone again.

  22. Marshawn Lynch, RB, Raiders (at Redskins)- 14 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Marshawn Lynch has had a nice start to his Raiders' career. The Redskins seemingly have a nice run defense, but Lynch could score a touchdown or two.

  23. Michael Crabtree, WR, Raiders (at Redskins)- 14 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Michael Crabtree should continue to serve as a touchdown machine for Derek Carr.

  24. Stefon Diggs, WR, Vikings (vs. Buccaneers)- 14 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Stefon Diggs could see lots of targets in a potential shootout.

  25. Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals (vs. Cowboys)- 13 Points
    6 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Larry Fitzgerald hasn't done much yet, but it seems like he's close. He should be better at home versus a soft defense.

  26. Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs (at Chargers)- 13 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Tyreek Hill may have to deal with Casey Hayward this week.

  27. Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Panthers (vs. Saints)- 13 Points
    5 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Kelvin Benjamin will surely see more targets with Greg Olsen out.

  28. Doug Baldwin, WR, Seahawks (at Titans)- 13 Points
    5 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Doug Baldwin should be able to get open versus the Titans.

  29. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings (vs. Buccaneers)- 13 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bears struggled to run on the Buccaneers' improved defensive line, and I imagine Dalvin Cook will have similar issues. I'd still start him as a RB2 though.

  30. Demaryius Thomas, WR, Broncos (at Bills)- 12 Points
    5 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Demaryius Thomas has another easy matchup this week, so he should be in your lineup.

  31. Isaiah Crowell, RB, Browns (at Colts)- 12 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Colts aren't horrible against the run because of Johnathan Hankins, but Cleveland's offensive line should still win most of the battles in the trenches.

  32. Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers (vs. Chiefs)- 12 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Keenan Allen doesn't have a tough matchup this week, as Marcus Peters doesn't shadow.

  33. Jordy Nelson, WR, Packers (vs. Bengals)- 12 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Jordy Nelson was knocked out of the opening drive against the Falcons. His status is unknown.

  34. Brandin Cooks, WR, Patriots (vs. Texans)- 12 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Brandin Cooks could go off any week; he was tackled at the 1-yard line against the Saints, so he could've had a much better output.

  35. Frank Gore, RB, Colts (vs. Browns)- 11 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Frank Gore could score another touchdown against a Cleveland run defense that couldn't contain Baltimore's running backs.

  36. Dez Bryant, WR, Cowboys (at Cardinals)- 11 Points
    3 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Dez Bryant continues his gauntlet against dominant cornerbacks, this time facing Patrick Peterson.

  37. Alshon Jeffery, WR, Eagles (vs. Giants)- 11 Points
    3 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Alshon Jeffery has a tough matchup this week, but he should still be started.

  38. Davante Adams, WR, Packers (vs. Bengals)- 11 Points
    4 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  39. Jonathan Stewart, RB, Panthers (vs. Saints)- 11 Points
    50 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
Fire Jonathan Stewart up against the Saints.

  40. Mike Gillislee, RB, Patriots (vs. Texans)- 11 Points
    50 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
It's unclear which running back will be featured this week, but it appears as though Mike Gillislee will get the goal-line work.

  41. Amari Cooper, WR, Raiders (at Redskins)- 11 Points
    4 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Amari Cooper figures to draw Josh Norman in this matchup.

  42. Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams (at 49ers)- 11 Points
    5 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Jared Goff loves throwing to Cooper Kupp. He should definitely be used in PPR formats.

  43. Jarvis Landry, WR, Dolphins (at Jets)- 10 Points
    8 Catches, 100 Receiving Yards.
Fire up Jarvis Landry against the Jets' poor pass defense.

  44. Marvin Jones, WR, Lions (vs. Falcons)- 10 Points
    3 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  45. Golden Tate, WR, Lions (vs. Falcons)- 9 Points
    8 Catches, 90 Receiving Yards.
Golden Tate has an easier matchup this week, and there could be plenty of garbage-time opportunities.

  46. Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings (vs. Buccaneers)- 9 Points
    8 Catches, 90 Receiving Yards.
Adam Thielen should be plugged back into your lineup if Sam Bradford returns.

  47. Pierre Garcon, WR, 49ers (vs. Rams)- 8 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards.
Trumaine Johnson could be out, making Pierre Garcon's matchup much easier.

  48. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals (at Packers)- 8 Points
    80 Rushing Yards.
Joe Mixon handled most of the workload late in the Houston game, so perhaps that's a sign of things to come.

  49. Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Broncos (at Bills)- 8 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards.
The Bills have issues in their secondary, so Emmanuel Sanders will be able to take advantage of them.

  50. DeSean Jackson, WR, Bucs (at Vikings)- 8 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards.

  51. J.J. Nelson, WR, Cardinals (vs. Cowboys)- 8 Points
    5 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards.
J.J. Nelson stepped up in the wake of John Brown's absence. He can be started until Brown returns.

  52. Ameer Abdullah, RB, Lions (vs. Falcons)- 8 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Enjoy Ameer Abdullah while he's healthy!

  53. Randall Cobb, WR, Packers (vs. Bengals)- 8 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards.
    Randall Cobb missed Wednesday's practice.

  54. Sammy Watkins, WR, Rams (at 49ers)- 8 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards.
Sammy Watkins won't have to deal with Josh Norman this week, so he should be able to rebound.

  55. Martavis Bryant, WR, Steelers (at Bears)- 8 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards.

  56. DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Texans (at Patriots)- 8 Points
    5 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards.
DeAndre Hopkins is catching passes from a rookie quarterback playing behind a horrific offensive line. This is not an ideal situation.

  57. T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts (vs. Browns)- 7 Points
    6 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards.
T.Y. Hilton is not a great option without Andrew Luck.

  58. LeGarrette Blount, RB, Eagles (vs. Giants)- 7 Points
    10 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
LeGarrette Blount didn't get a single carry last week. Cut him.

  59. Darren Sproles, RB, Eagles (vs. Giants)- 7 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

  60. Matt Forte, RB, Jets (vs. Dolphins)- 7 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  61. Chris Hogan, WR, Patriots (vs. Texans)- 7 Points
    5 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards.

  62. Buck Allen, RB, Ravens (at Jaguars)- 7 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Buck Allen appears to be the lead back in Baltimore's committee.

  63. Jamison Crowder, WR, Redskins (vs. Raiders)- 7 Points
    6 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards.
Jamison Crowder may not be completely healthy.

  64. Terrelle Pryor, WR, Redskins (vs. Raiders)- 7 Points
    4 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards.
Terrelle Pryor still doesn't appear to be on the same page as Kirk Cousins.

  65. Mark Ingram, RB, Saints (at Panthers)- 7 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
The Panthers just put the clamps on LeSean McCoy.

  66. Ted Ginn, WR, Saints (at Panthers)- 7 Points
    4 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards.

  67. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks (at Titans)- 7 Points
    70 Rushing Yards.

  68. Lamar Miller, RB, Texans (at Patriots)- 7 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Lamar Miller isn't getting any sort of run blocking, so he's not a great option.

  69. Jordan Howard, RB, Bears (vs. Steelers)- 6 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Jordan Howard had his arm in a sling at the end of the game, so his Week 3 status is in doubt. Howard was limited in Wednesday's practice.

  70. Kendall Wright, WR, Bears (vs. Steelers)- 6 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.

  71. Duke Johnson, RB, Browns (at Colts)- 6 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
Duke Johnson seems ready for more receptions in the wake of Corey Coleman's injury.

  72. Rashard Higgins, WR, Browns (at Colts)- 6 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.

  73. Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Bucs (at Vikings)- 6 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
It might be difficult for Jacquizz Rodgers to run against Minnesota's stout defensive front.

  74. Nelson Agholor, WR, Eagles (vs. Giants)- 6 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.

  75. Mohamed Sanu, WR, Falcons (at Lions)- 6 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.

  76. Allen Hurns, WR, Jaguars (vs. Ravens)- 6 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.
In a tight game, Allen Hurns won't be able to accumulate garbage-time yards.

  77. Jermaine Kearse, WR, Jets (vs. Dolphins)- 6 Points
    6 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.
Jermaine Kearse can be used in PPR leagues, as he's Josh McCown's favorite receiver.

  78. Theo Riddick, RB, Lions (vs. Falcons)- 6 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.

  79. Kenny Golladay, WR, Lions (vs. Falcons)- 6 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.
Kenny Golladay could have a big second half if the Lions are trailing the Falcons.

  80. Rex Burkhead, RB, Patriots (vs. Texans)- 6 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
With some injuries on offense, Rex Burkhead can be started in PPR leagues.

  81. Jeremy Maclin, WR, Ravens (at Jaguars)- 6 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.
Joe Flacco appeared healthier last week, but with Marshal Yanda out, he may struggle to connect as often with Jeremy Maclin.

  82. Robert Kelley, RB, Redskins (vs. Raiders)- 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.
Robert Kelley is day to day with an injury.

  83. Chris Thompson, RB, Redskins (vs. Raiders)- 6 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.

  84. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints (at Panthers)- 6 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

  85. DeMarco Murray, RB, Titans (vs. Seahawks)- 6 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
DeMarco Murray is banged up, so he may lose touches to Derrick Henry this week.

  86. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans (vs. Seahawks)- 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.

  87. Rishard Matthews, WR, Titans (vs. Seahawks)- 6 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.

20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  89. Donte Moncrief, WR, Colts (vs. Browns)- 5 Points
    3 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.
Don't start Donte Moncrief with Andrew Luck out.

  90. Cole Beasley, WR, Cowboys (at Cardinals)- 5 Points

  93. Bilal Powell, RB, Jets (vs. Dolphins)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
It's unclear why Todd Bowles isn't starting Bilal Powell.

  94. Devin Funchess, WR, Panthers (vs. Saints)- 5 Points
    4 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.

  95. Terrance West, RB, Ravens (at Jaguars)- 5 Points

  104. Chris Johnson, RB, Cardinals (vs. Cowboys)- 4 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Chris Johnson is playing ahead of Kerwynn Williams, but it doesn't matter.

  105. Tyrell Williams, WR, Chargers (vs. Chiefs)- 4 Points
    3 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

  106. Chris Conley, WR, Chiefs (at Chargers)- 4 Points

20 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  114. Robert Woods, WR, Rams (at 49ers)- 4 Points
    3 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

  115. Samaje Perine, RB, Redskins (vs. Raiders)- 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.
Samaje Perine should be added, but Robert Kelley could still start this week.

  116. Adrian Peterson, RB, Saints (at Panthers)- 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.
Adrian Peterson isn't being used much.

  117. Brandon Coleman, WR, Saints (at Panthers)- 4 Points

    3 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  123. John Ross, WR, Bengals (at Packers)- 3 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
John Ross will make his debut, but I wouldn't start him just yet, as he needs to get integrated into the offense.

  124. Kenny Britt, WR, Browns (at Colts)- 3 Points
    2 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  125. Charles Sims, RB, Bucs (at Vikings)- 3 Points

    30 Rushing Yards.

  139. Mike Wallace, WR, Ravens (at Jaguars)- 3 Points
    2 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
I don't think Joe Flacco can get the ball downfield to Mike Wallace right now, given the poor protection.

  140. Taywan Taylor, WR, Titans (vs. Seahawks)- 3 Points
    2 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  141. Deonte Thompson, WR, Bears (vs. Steelers)- 2 Points
