Good Talent at the 2013 East-West Shrine Game

By Charlie Campbell - @draftcampbell

The East-West Shrine practices start Monday, and the rosters for each squad feature lots of good talent for the 2013 NFL Draft. WalterFootball.com caught up with some sources to see what names stood out to them as good talents to get to know before the practices arrive.

East Offense

  • Emory Blake WR Auburn
  • Marcus Davis WR Virginia Tech
  • Corey Fuller WR Virginia Tech
  • Ray Graham RB Pittsburgh
  • Zac Stacy RB Vanderbilt
  • Omoregie Uzzi G Georgia Tech

    East Defense

  • Jamie Collins OLB Southern Mississippi
  • Josh Evans S Florida
  • Gerald Hodges OLB Penn State
  • Lerentee McCray OLB Florida
  • Rod Sweeting CB Georgia Tech
  • Devin Taylor DE South Carolina

    West Offense

  • Rex Burkhead RB Nebraska
  • Chad Bumphis QB Mississippi State
  • Joseph Fauria TE UCLA
  • Blaize Foltz G TCU
  • Nick Kasa TE Colorado
  • Matt Scott QB Arizona

    West Defense

  • Josh Boyd DT Mississippi State
  • Terry Hawthorne CB Illinois
  • Demontre Hurst CB Oklahoma
  • Micah Hyde CB Iowa
  • Duke Williams S Nevada

A number of these players are viewed as potential second-day picks, while perhaps the best player from last year's game, cornerback Josh Norman, fell to the third day of the 2012 NFL Draft. Some of these players could also end up going to the Senior Bowl depending on some injuries. The rosters are always adjusted in the days before and during the practices for each All-Star game.

Check back as WalterFootball.com will have live coverage from all of the East-West Shrine practices on who is playing well and who is falling down draft boards with their practice performances.

Taylor was the most impressive player in the game. I like Sio Moore a lot so I was not surprised he played well. The QB play was substandard, so the WR and TE suffered which was a bit disappointing.

CMike showing out, always felt he'd be a better pro than college player.

The Jag's must have the dumbest scouting department in the league. Another Fing kicker is on the radar?

Ted Thompson is there and the Packers don't talk to anybody. Guess they're playing it to the vest

Jamie Collins out of Southern Miss is an absolute beast! Same build and playing style as Von Miller and Jarvis Jones. Huge upside and very athletic!

You did about as good as I did, and I was able to update mine the day bfroee. You offered a lot of insite that helped me get a few of those picks right. Also, if it weren't for you, I would have not welcomed the drafting of Andre Smith. Speaking of Andre Smith, I think it's important that the Bengals and Smith's agent work hard to get a contract done early. That would go a long way toward proving that Smith was not a gamble.

I know ESPN has NFL picks and Meril Hoge is pretty good. Who is the best on the ESPN site? What other sites have GOOD NFL erepxt picks? Not against the spread but just straight up winners?

they were seeing if they could get the first round and ecsond round done in one evening. they want to make the draft a three day event. so this year was a test run to see if they could get it done. and yes they can. next years draft will more then likely take 3 days instead of just 2
