Arkansas vs. LSU
14:30 1st - Bends at waist too much and on ground
below average footwork - crosses over with long steps
Quick hips and feet on angle block
good leverage, natural knee bender, keeps feet moving
Footwork needs polish ... long steps still crossing over ... very good agility and smooth athlete
excellent job picking up the blitz, plays with good speed, but footwork needs to be better
Blocking on heels, not balls of feet...gets a nice hand punch + good strength
Mallett: Strong arm, poor mechanics and footwork, not mobile and a bad athlete...
Ball tends to sail - releases too early
needs to work on timing ... ball not coming out early enough
Barsdale - possibly missed assignment on blitz...bad vision/awarenes? ... has heavy hands...
Misses blocks again
natural knee bender and keeps butt low ... elite technician
Seriously, do Walt and Charlie make stupid picks for the Bills, to get clicks? Pat Maholmes and some tackle? Yes, take the 2nd rated tackle or Mike Williams when just about every WR on the Bills roster is a FA, or injured? Woods isn't good until Tyrod Taylor has to focus on him and he nets 162 tards. Taylor can only focus b on 1 WR at a time. If the Bills are smart they take Willians, plays Jones as the passing game can't get much simpler than we've run with Taylor. Just make every week a track meet with Watkins, Williams, Clay, and McCoy. You don't need to read defenses as much when you throw over top of them.
What an exciting weekend of football that was and we're one step closer to the Super Bowl. Sadly, more teams have been set in their draft position after this weekend. Getting closer to the deadline to declare for the draft to help round out this draft class. As per usual please leave comments and reactions I always try to reply and give some feedback.
