2009 NBA Mock Re-Draft
Updated: May 3, 2013.
Team needs and outstanding trades have been taken into account with this mock draft.
-
Cleveland Cavaliers: Livio Jean Charles, F, France, 6-9, 1993
Another player who caught the attention of NBA scouts at the Nike Hoops Summit, Livio Jean Charles plays with terrific energy. -
Oklahoma City Thunder: Shane Larkin, PG, Miami FL, 5-11, So.
Shane Larkin could easily be a first-round pick, so this would be more a value selection for the Thunder. -
Cleveland Cavaliers: Brandon Paul, SG, Illinois, 6-4, Sr.
I think Brandon Paul is being undervalued in this draft and could potentially be a threat off someone's bench. -
Houston Rockets: Lorenzo Brown, PG, N.C. State, 6-5, Jr.
The Rockets don't have much depth at guard behind James Harden and Jeremy Lin. -
Philadelphia 76ers: Tim Hardaway Jr., SG, Michigan, 6-5, Jr.
The 76ers need depth on the wing since Nick Young and Dorrell Wright are both free agents. -
Sacramento Kings: DeShaun Thomas, SF, Ohio State, 6-7, Jr.
DeShaun Thomas is a talented all-around scorer who lacks NBA-level athleticism. -
Washington Wizards: Erick Green, G, Virginia Tech, 6-4, Sr.
The Wizards need some depth at guard behind John Wall and Bradley Beal. -
Detroit Pistons: Trevor Mbakwe, PF, Minnesota, 6-8, Sr.
Trevor Mbakwe should be able to contribute off somebody's bench due to his ability to rebound the basketball. -
Portland Trail Blazers: C.J. Leslie, F, N.C. State, 6-9, Jr.
C.J. Leslie is a ridiculous athlete who excels above the, rim but there are some concerns about his intangibles. -
Portland Trail Blazers: Vander Blue, SG, Marquette, 6-4, Jr.
Blue is a tremendous athlete and showed strides this past season with his perimeter game as well. -
Memphis Grizzlies: Tony Snell, SF, New Mexico, 6-7, Jr.
Tony Snell could develop into a role player down the road due to his athleticism, plus the Grizzlies could use depth at the two since Tony Allen is a free agent. -
Philadelphia 76ers: Nate Wolters, G, South Dakota State, 6-4, Sr.
Wolters' ability to shoot the ball from deep should find him a home at the next level. -
Milwaukee Bucks: Isaiah Canaan, PG, Murray State, 6-0, Sr.
Brandon Jennings will be a restricted free agent and the Bucks really don't have any options behind him, so a point guard makes sense. -
Dallas Mavericks: Myck Kabongo, PG, Texas, 6-1, So.
Myck Kabongo is a pure distributor, and the Mavericks need options at the point since Darren Collison and Rodrigue Beaubois could both leave via free agency. -
Portland Trail Blazers: Andre Roberson, SF, Colorado, 6-7, Jr.
A tremendous athlete, Andre Roberson is a prolific rebounder at the college level, but he's still working on becoming a more consistent outside shooter. -
Utah Jazz: Kenny Kadji, PF, Miami, 6-11, Sr.
Kenny Kadji has good size and the ability to stretch defenses with his perimeter shooting. -
Atlanta Hawks: B.J. Young, PG, Arkansas, 6-3, So.
B.J. Young is a combo guard with high upside, and the Hawks need talent all across the board. -
Los Angeles Lakers: Will Clyburn, G/F, Iowa State, 6-7, Sr.
With Kobe's injury, the Lakers needs to add scoring options on the wing. -
Chicago Bulls: Michael Snaer, SG, Florida State, 6-4, Sr.
The Bulls need to find an upgrade at the shooting guard. Michael Snaer is capable of getting it done on both ends of the floor. -
Atlanta Hawks: Norvell Pelle, PF, LA College Prep, 6-10, Fr.
With their fourth pick, the Hawks can roll the dice on an athletic big with with high upside. -
Orlando Magic: Peyton Siva, PG, Louisville, 5-11, Sr.
Peyton Siva is a proven winner, and the Magic will likely lose their backup point guard, Beno Udrih. -
Minnesota Timberwolves: James Southerland, SF, Syracuse, 6-8, Sr.
With limitless range from the outside, James Southerland could a weapon off somebody's bench. -
Indiana Pacers: Erik Murphy, PF, Florida, 6-10, Sr.
Erik Murphy's inside/outside ability makes him an intriguing prospect despite his lack of NBA athleticism. -
Washington Wizards: Solomon Hill, SF, Arizona, 6-6, Jr.
The Wildcats senior is a versatile wing who can do a little bit of everything on the floor, but doesn't excel in any one particular area. -
Memphis Grizzlies: Adonis Thomas, G/F, Memphis, 6-7, So.
Adonis Thomas should have returned to school since he underachieved at Memphis. Still, Thomas could become a contributor someday due to his size and strength. -
Detroit Pistons: Pierre Jackson, PG, Baylor, 5-10, Sr.
Size is a concern, but Pierre Jackson is a high-energy point guard capable of stroking it from deep or using his quickness to get to the rim. -
Phoenix Suns: Alex Abrines, SG, Spain, 6-5, 1993
Alex Abrines is draft-and-stash prospect who could contribute down the road. -
San Antonio Spurs: Mike Muscala, PF/C, Bucknell, 6-11, Sr.
The Bisons big man is an inside/outside threat. -
Minnesota Timberwolves: Marko Todrovic, C, Montenegro, 6-11, 1992
The Timberwolves go the foreign route with their fourth pick of the 2013 NBA Draft. -
Memphis Grizzlies: Nemanja Nedovic, G, Serbia, 6-4, 1991
With three second-round picks, the Grizzlies could use this pick as a draft-and-stash option.

You don't take a pg in the first round when you have Kyrie Irving and you have greater needs. They will go C with 2nd first rounder if they take Porter. I could see them taking Larkin if he was still there with that first 2nd round pick though.

Suns will take shabbaz to play SG, then if their lucky alex len or cody zeller will fall to them. There second round pick could be used on practically anything but i would probably trade it for future picks or a SF

Gerald Henderson does not appear to be a long term solution for the Bobcats? Have you watched the NBA this year? Clearly you haven't.
