NFL Week 6 Fantasy Football Rankings

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy RB rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season. If you don't like my rankings, check out Chet's fantasy football rankings.

The rankings are based on a Traditional scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com's projected stats and standard scoring points.

But who do I start...

Updated - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Todd Gurley, RB, Rams (at Broncos)- 27 Points
120 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 2 TDs.
The Jets just gashed the Broncos for 300 yards on the ground. Start Todd Gurley!

  2. Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers (at Browns)- 19 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Cleveland stops the run well, but it can't defend pass-catching running backs.

  3. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals (vs. Steelers)- 16 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Steelers struggle to defend the middle of the field, so Joe Mixon should have a big day as a receiver.

  4. Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys (vs. Jaguars)- 16 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Ezekiel Elliott has a very difficult matchup this week, but he should obviously still be in your lineup.

  5. Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants (vs. Eagles)- 15 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Saquon Barkley has a difficult matchup against the Eagles' elite front seven.

  6. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers (at Redskins)- 15 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Christian McCaffrey has a tough matchup against the Redskins.

  7. Phillip Lindsay, RB, Broncos (vs. Rams)- 14 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Seahawks just ran all over the Rams, so perhaps Phillip Lindsay will have a big game.

  8. David Johnson, RB, Cardinals (at Vikings)- 14 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
David Johnson scored twice last week, but struggled to run. He'll have opportunities as a receiver in this game, but Minnesota is great versus the rush.

  9. Tevin Coleman, RB, Falcons (vs. Bucs)- 14 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Tevin Coleman is a borderline RB1 with Devonta Freeman out.

  10. Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs (at Patriots)- 13 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Kareem Hunt doesn't have the best matchup, but he'll be in position for more touchdowns.

  11. Marshawn Lynch, RB, Raiders (vs. Seahawks)- 13 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Marshawn Lynch will be motivated against his former team, but Seattle is good against the run.

  12. James Conner, RB, Steelers (at Bengals)- 13 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
James Conner has a much harder matchup against the Bengals this week.

  13. Jordan Howard, RB, Bears (at Dolphins)- 12 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Dolphins are decent against the run, but Jordan Howard could be in a position to score some touchdowns.

  14. Sony Michel, RB, Patriots (vs. Chiefs)- 12 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
The Chiefs are weak to the run, so Sony Michel could approach 100 yards again.

  15. Carlos Hyde, RB, Browns (vs. Chargers)- 11 Points
    50 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
Carlos Hyde has a decent matchup, so he can be used as an RB2 this week.

  16. T.J. Yeldon, RB, Jaguars (at Cowboys)- 11 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
T.J. Yeldon is worth starting with Leonard Fournette likely out again.

  17. Alex Collins, RB, Ravens (at Titans)- 11 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Titans have a solid run defense, but Alex Collins could be in position for a touchdown.

  18. LeSean McCoy, RB, Bills (at Texans)- 10 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.
The Texans stop the run well, but can be beaten by pass-catching running backs.

  19. Bilal Powell, RB, Jets (vs. Colts)- 10 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

  20. Peyton Barber, RB, Bucs (at Falcons)- 9 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
The Falcons can't stop the run, so Peyton Barber is usable this week.

  21. Kenyan Drake, RB, Dolphins (vs. Bears)- 9 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Kenyan Drake is splitting too many carries with Frank Gore, which makes no sense.

  22. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks (at Raiders)- 9 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
The Raiders aren't bad against the run, but Chris Carson looked great last week.

  23. Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears (at Dolphins)- 8 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.

  24. Wendell Smallwood, RB, Eagles (at Giants)- 8 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  25. James White, RB, Patriots (vs. Chiefs)- 8 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.

  26. Royce Freeman, RB, Broncos (vs. Rams)- 7 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
Royce Freeman is seeing fewer snaps than Phillip Lindsay, which makes sense.

  27. Jamaal Williams, RB, Packers (vs. 49ers)- 7 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
The Lions are weak against the run, but Jamaal Williams is losing touches to Aaron Jones.

  28. Aaron Jones, RB, Packers (vs. 49ers)- 7 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
Aaron Jones has a terrific matchup, but has to split touches.

  29. Dion Lewis, RB, Titans (vs. Ravens)- 7 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
Dion Lewis has a difficult matchup this week, but I still like him more than Derrick Henry.

  30. Nyheim Hines, RB, Colts (at Jets)- 6 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.
Nyheim Hines is becoming a nice PPR option as Andrew Luck's go-to weapon out of the backfield.

  31. Ty Montgomery, RB, Packers (vs. 49ers)- 6 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

  32. Buck Allen, RB, Ravens (at Titans)- 6 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

  33. Adrian Peterson, RB, Redskins (vs. Panthers)- 6 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
Adrian Peterson is active, but may not be 100 percent.

  34. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans (vs. Ravens)- 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.
The Ravens are difficult to run against. You'll need a touchdown from Derrick Henry for him to be successful for you.

  35. Latavius Murray, RB, Vikings (vs. Cardinals)- 6 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  36. Alfred Morris, RB, 49ers (at Packers)- 5 Points
    50 Rushing Yards.

  37. Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers (at Browns)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  38. Marlon Mack, RB, Colts (at Jets)- 5 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Marlon Mack will start Sunday's game.

  39. Frank Gore, RB, Dolphins (vs. Bears)- 5 Points
    50 Rushing Yards.

  40. Corey Clement, RB, Eagles (at Giants)- 5 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  41. Isaiah Crowell, RB, Jets (vs. Colts)- 5 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
Isaiah Crowell is active, but may not be 100 percent.

  42. Lamar Miller, RB, Texans (vs. Bills)- 5 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
    Lamar Miller is practicing fully.

  43. Mark Walton, RB, Bengals (vs. Steelers)- 4 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  44. Duke Johnson, RB, Browns (vs. Chargers)- 4 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  45. Spencer Ware, RB, Chiefs (at Patriots)- 4 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  46. Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons (vs. Bucs)- 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.
Devonta Freeman is out, so Ito Smith will play.

  47. Doug Martin, RB, Raiders (vs. Seahawks)- 4 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  48. Jalen Richard, RB, Raiders (vs. Seahawks)- 4 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
