2025 NFL Draft Position Rankings:
QB | RB | FB | WR | TE | OT | G | C | DE | DT | NT | 3-4 OLB | 3-4 DE | OLB | ILB | CB | S | K | P

  1. Kyle Juszcyk, FB, Harvard
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 248. Arm: 31 3/8. Hand: 9.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.79.
    Projected Round (2013): 4-6.

4/23/13: Juszcyk played a lot of tight end at Harvard and led the team in receptions as a senior. He had 52 catches for 706 yards and eight touchdowns. Juszcyk will have to move to fullback for the NFL. He performed well in that role at the Senior Bowl. Juszcyk did well as a blocker and receiver. He did not participate in the Combine, but many regard him as the top fullback in the 2013 NFL Draft.

  2. Zach Line, FB, SMU
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 232. Hand: 8.68.
    40 Time: 4.77.
    Projected Round (2013): 4-6.

4/23/13: Many teams view Line as a hybrid fullback/running back. He could be an effective goal line and short-yardage back in the NFL. Line had a solid Combine 40 time for a fullback, but a poor time for a running back. He did well as a receiver in the field work.

Line averaged 4.6 yards per carry in 2012 while amassing 1,278 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also caught 33 passes for 229 yards. The senior had fumbles against Baylor and TCU.

Line doesn’t look like he has the burst needed to be a running back in the NFL; he isn’t quick enough to the hole. However, Line definitely has the skill set to be a fullback. He is big enough to be a good blocker, can carry the ball in short-yardage situations and has nice receiving ability out of the backfield.

Line had a solid week of practice at the East-West Shrine. He would prefer to stay as a running back, but will have to move to fullback to make it in the NFL.

8/17/12: Zach Line is going to have to add some bulk and power to be a true fullback in the NFL, but he is one of the most productive running fullbacks to come out in some time. Line ran for 1,224 yards (5.9 average) and 17 touchdowns as junior last year. He ran for 1,494 yards with an average of 6.1 yards per carry and 10 touchdowns in 2010, also catching 17 passes for 163 yards.

Line runs with power and has a style similar to Stanford’s Toby Gerhart in the 2010 NFL Draft, Line could be considered by some teams to be a running back in the NFL but fullback may be a better fit. He was the Mustangs’ short-yardage back in 2009 as a freshman and recorded seven touchdowns.

Line has contributed as a receiver with a total of 42 receptions for 370 yards in his career. If he can stay as productive as a senior, he should be selected in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Traditional fullbacks are becoming few and far between in the NFL, so a player with Line’s versatility to be a runner and receiver increases his value for the next level.

  3. Tommy Bohanon, FB, Wake Forest
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 229. Arm: 29 3/4. Hand: 9 7/8.
    40 Time: 4.88.
    Projected Round (2013): 6-7.

4/23/13: Bohanon had 23 receptions for 208 yards and five touchdowns as a senior. He performed well at the Senior Bowl, but needs to add more weight for the NFL to improve his ability to be a lead blocker. Bohanon was solid at the Combine.

  4. Lonnie Pryor, FB, Florida State
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 229. Hand: 8.38.
    40 Time: 4.70.
    Projected Round (2013): 6-FA.

4/23/13: Pryor had a strong senior season and did a good job as a lead blocker for the Seminoles’ stable of running backs. He ran for 376 yards on 47 carries with eight touchdowns and had 13 receptions for 117 yards. Pryor averaged 5.8 yards per carry during his career, totaling 718 yards with 18 touchdowns. He showed his receiving skills with 41 catches for 379 yards and five touchdowns.

Pryor was perhaps the Combine’s most impressive fullback. He ran well in the 40 and looked good in the field work. Pryor could be a starting fullback in the NFL.

  5. Braden Wilson, FB, Kansas State
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 251. Hand: 10.08.
    40 Time: 4.81.
    Projected Round (2013): 7-FA.

4/23/13: Wilson had a good season as the lead blocker for the Wildcats. He had six carries for 13 yards and a touchdown, as well as five receptions for 34 yards in 2012. The senior lost a fumble against Texas. Wilson didn’t stand out at the Combine.

8/17/12: Wilson had a strong junior year blocking for Colin Klein and John Hubert. Wilson served as a lead blocker for running back Daniel Thomas in the previous two seasons. Wilson is a big, powerful blocker who fits the old-school type of blocking fullback.

Wilson has a total of 13 receptions for 110 yards and 15 carries for 31 yards and a score in his career. He will have to show more than just lead-blocking ability to be anything more than an undrafted free agent.

  6. Zach Boren, FB, Ohio State
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 238. Hand: 10.08.
    40 Time: 5.00.
    Projected Round (2013): 7-FA.

4/23/13: Boren had 11 carries for 40 yards and two touchdowns in the early portion of the season before switching to linebacker. He also had five receptions for 42 yards. Boren played well at linebacker and could try to make an NFL roster at either position. He participated at the Combine as a fullback.

8/17/12: Zach Boren was a good blocker for Dan Herron and others at Ohio State. Boren is not much of a receiver with only 20 receptions for 151 yards and one touchdown in his career. He is not much of a runner either, having only one carry for two yards.

Still, Boren is a powerful lead blocker who can run over defenders. The problem for him is that the role is being constantly downgraded in the NFL.

  7. Jared Hassin, FB, Army
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 235.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.71.
    Projected Round (2013): FA.

4/23/13: Hassin had four carries for 24 yards this season, but missed six games with injury. He did not participate in the Combine.

8/17/12: Hassin ran for 450 yards (4.6 average) with one touchdown in 2011. He ran for 1,013 yards and nine touchdowns in 2010, averaging 5.3 yards per carry. Hassin was impressive with big games against Rutgers and Tulane that year. If he can stay an effective runner while adding some bulk and improving his pass receiving, he could make the case to get drafted.

  8. Devon Ramsay*, FB, North Carolina
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 250.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.72.
    Projected Round (2013): FA.

4/23/13: Ramsay did not play in 2012.

8/17/12: Ramsay is a powerful lead blocker when playing. He was suspended for most of his sophomore season by the NCAA. Ramsay tore ligaments in his left knee during the first game of the 2011 season that caused him to miss the rest of the year. However, he was awarded a medical redshirt. Ramsay also redshirted in 2007 because of a shoulder injury.
