NFL Power Rankings updated Nov. 25, 2025
-
Los Angeles Rams (9-2) – Previously: 2.
The Rams would be 10-1 if they didn’t have that ridiculous second-half collapse in Philadelphia. Remember, they outgained the Eagles, 356-288, and averaged nearly one more yard per play. They blew a 26-7 lead with a fourth-and-1 stuff and a missed field goal, but they still had a chance with a game-winning kick, but it was blocked.
Los Angeles dominated the 49ers. They won 42-26, but were up 42-20 before a garbage-time touchdown. The Rams then were up 14-3 and 21-12 over the Seahawks, dominating Sam Darnold once again. The Sunday night affair against the Buccaneers was completely lopsided. The Rams are now the No. 1 team in the NFL.
If you haven’t visited the site in a while, you may have noticed the new look. Yes, after nearly two decades, we’ve finally re-designed our site to be more modern. This was not done on a whim, but rather out of necessity because of what occurred during the 2023 NFL Draft. Our site crashed during the entire first day of the draft, which was disastrous for our revenue stream because we make more money during the draft than any other time. The site crashed because a line of code conflicted with the old format of the site, so we had to transition to this new look.
Because we lost so much money during the draft, I want to point out that you can really help support the site by paying for the ad-free version of it. It’s $7.99 per month, but you’ll get a super-fast site with no ads. My developer will be adding new features to paid subscribers as well, so look for that in the near future. If you don’t want to pay, please spread the word about the site through word of mouth. That would also be a big help!
-
Philadelphia Eagles (8-3) – Previously: 1.
The Eagles still aren’t running the ball as well as they did a year ago. Their inability to run is why they keep having meltdowns in the second half. They simply can’t run out the clock. It didn’t help that they fumbled away the game. That said, the Eagles are still one of the best teams in the NFL. They’ll be much better when Lane Johnson returns.
-
Buffalo Bills (7-4) – Previously: 3.
NRG Stadium has proven to be a house of horrors for Josh Allen. There’s no shame in losing to the Texans, which is what the Bills did last year anyway. I won’t downgrade them for the loss.
-
Kansas City Chiefs (6-5) – Previously: 4.
The Chiefs kept their season alive with their comeback win against the Colts. They made so many mistakes and had plenty of calls go against them, so they shouldn’t have been in a 20-9 hole in the first place.
-
Seattle Seahawks (8-3) – Previously: 5.
The Seahawks can look very good at times, but the level of competition is definitely a factor. They played only one team above Group C, which was a loss to the Group B 49ers back in Week 1 (when San Francisco was healthy enough to be in Group B.) The Seahawks have gone against four Group C teams and six teams worse than that. They haven’t beaten anyone above 18th in these power rankings Still, they’re 8-3, and they had an impressive win at Washington and then at home versus Arizona. They hadn’t blown too many teams out, but their victory against the Redskins was great enough to elevate the team to Group A. They pissed me off by allowing a back-door touchdown to the Titans, so perhaps they don’t belong in Group A. Good teams win, great teams cover.
-
Detroit Lions (7-4) – Previously: 6.
The Lions are not in good shape. They desperately need home-field advantage because Jared Goff simply can’t play in poor weather conditions, especially when going up against a team that can generate tons of pressure. Given the Lions’ 7-4 record, it’s highly unlikely that they’ll avoid playing outside come January. Their defense looked horrendous against the Giants. I’ve demoted them to Group B.
-
Indianapolis Colts (8-3) – Previously: 7.
The Colts had a chance to establish themselves as the best team in the conference, but they blew a 20-9 lead in the fourth quarter. Jonathan Taylor inexplicably couldn’t do anything against Kansas City’s pedestrian run defense, so that should end any hope of him winning MVP.
-
Baltimore Ravens (6-5) – Previously: 8.
The Ravens limped into their bye at 1-5, but they’ve gotten almost everyone back and were able to beat the Bears, Dolphins, Vikings, Browns, and Jets. They have the talent to run the table. The Ravens are very good, despite what this aging cat lady had to say during the Miami game:
The only issue is that Lamar Jackson doesn’t look healthy. He scrambled only twice against the Browns and didn’t move quite well against the Jets. Both of those games, by the way, were failed covers by half a point.
-
Green Bay Packers (7-3-1) – Previously: 10.
The Packers can’t cover the spread ever unless we bet against them. They don’t have an owner, but if they did, he could hire me to bet against his team so that the Packers could go 17-0 every year for the rest of eternity.
-
New England Patriots (10-2) – Previously: 9.
The Patriots are for real, as evidenced by their outright win in Buffalo. They would be 11-1 right now if they didn’t blow the Pittsburgh game with all of their stupid fumbles. It’s amazing how much of a difference great coaching makes, as Mike Vrabel has made all the right moves thus far.
Unfortunately for New England, the team suffered a huge loss against the Bengals with Will Campbell getting carted off the field. With Morgan Moses also getting banged up, Maye’s protection moving forward could be like what he saw in his rookie year.
-
Denver Broncos (9-2) – Previously: 11.
The Broncos are 9-2, but you can’t really take them seriously as a Super Bowl contender with their close wins against the Raiders, Jets, Giants, and Titans. Bo Nix was awful in the Thursday night victory versus Las Vegas. He was so inept that he must have thought he was battling the ’85 Bears instead of the terrible Raiders defense. Nix came back to beat the Chiefs, but Kansas City continued to underwhelm.
-
San Francisco 49ers (8-4) – Previously: 13.
The 49ers have too many defensive injuries to make a deep playoff run, but perhaps they can win one postseason game if Brock Purdy and the rest of the offense remains healthy. San Francisco absolutely dominated an Arizona team that had been mostly competitive all year. They also would have dominated the Panthers had Purdy not gone colorblind for the night.
-
Chicago Bears (8-3) – Previously: 14.
The Bears were given up for dead after starting 0-2. They’re now 8-3, but there should be some skepticism regarding this record. The Bears took advantage of the CeeDee Lamb injury and then were outgained by a mile against the Raiders, but were able to win because Geno Smith self-destructed. They won at Washington, but the Redskins made numerous mistakes. They picked up a win versus New Orleans, but the Saints are barely an NFL team. Perhaps the loss to the Tyler Huntley-led Ravens should have been easy to predict. The Bengals then won at Cincinnati, but the Bengals were missing their top defensive players and started a quarterback with a sprained AC joint. The Bears were losing 20-0 to the Giants at home before Jaxson Dart left with a concussion. And they barely beat the Vikings despite being able to take advantage of some of the worst quarterbacking in the NFL.
Chicago won its eighth game against Mason Rudolph. Despite the 8-3 record, the Bears still have a negative point differential.
-
Dallas Cowboys (5-5-1) – Previously: 15.
I moved the Cowboys from Group D to Group C following their win over the Redskins. The additions of Quinnen Williams and Logan Wilson have made them even better. They defeated the Eagles, but needed a 21-point comeback to do so. I’m still not sold on this defense, but there’s no doubt that the Cowboys are a better team than the one that lost to the Cardinals.
-
Houston Texans (6-5) – Previously: 16.
The Texans saved their season with their three wins, including the victory over the Bills. Their defense is dominant, and C.J. Stroud will return soon. If they could just figure out their offensive line woes, they’d stand a chance of going deep into the playoffs.
-
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-5) – Previously: 12.
The Buccaneers simply cannot beat top-tier competition. They’re 0-4 against Group A teams this year. Now, Baker Mayfield is injured. If Mayfield will be out for a while, the Panthers and even the Falcons will have a chance to steal the division.
-
Cincinnati Bengals (3-8) – Previously: 26.
The Bengals needed one win in Weeks 11-12 to give Joe Burrow a good chance of reaching the playoffs if he could run the table upon his Week 13 return. Burrow will likely play against the Ravens, but even if he wins every game, 9-8 probably won’t be good enough. This elevated ranking is for Burrow’s expected return.
-
Jacksonville Jaguars (7-4) – Previously: 17.
Most of the Jaguars’ victories have come against poor competition. The win over the Chargers appears to be an exception, but we could recognize the Chargers as poor competition because of their severe blocking issues. Liam Coen, meanwhile, nearly threw away another potential win by not kicking a field goal to go up six late in the game. Does Coen know that field goals are worth three points?
-
San Angeles Chargers (7-4) – Previously: 18.
The Chargers’ blowout loss is what we would have seen against the Steelers in Week 10 if Pittsburgh had any sort of offense. Justin Herbert was beaten to a pulp against the Jaguars, and it’s safe to wonder if he’ll make it the rest of the season.
-
Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5) – Previously: 19.
The Steelers no longer have sole possession of first place in the AFC North. They should have been able to beat a Chicago team missing its top two linebackers and its top two cornerbacks, but this team really isn’t any good.
-
Arizona Cardinals (3-8) – Previously: 21.
The Cardinals are six plays away from being 9-2, which is crazy but true. What else is crazy but true is that Jacoby Brissett is better than Kyler Murray. It’s quite the coincidence that Trey McBride can finally score touchdowns and Marvin Harrison can finally stop sucking now that Brissett is under center. Brissett took a step backward against the Seahawks, but that was the first time he went against a top-10 defense since taking over for Murray. Brissett went on to set the NFL single-game completions record against the 49ers and nearly led the team to victory against the Jaguars.
-
Carolina Panthers (6-6) – Previously: 22.
Somehow, some way, the Panthers are 6-6. They’ve established that they’re not a Group F team in the NFL anymore, but they certainly aren’t as good as that 6-6 record indicates, as evidenced by their awful point differential. Still, it’s the latest in the countless examples we’ve seen refuting the infamous terrible Bill Parcells quote, “You are what your record is.”
-
Atlanta Falcons (4-7) – Previously: 23.
The Falcons have a Group B roster – now downgraded with Michael Penix Jr. being injured – but a Group F head coach. Raheem Morris is the worst head coach in the NFL. Do you think the Falcons could have used some rest following their 11-hour flight home from Germany when the Panthers were mounting a comeback against them? Why didn’t Morris take the bye after playing in Europe?
To be fair, the Falcons showed some fight against the Saints even though it appears as though the season is finished. Kirk Cousins played a lot better than anyone thought, but did so against the crappy Saints.
-
Cleveland Browns (3-8) – Previously: 24.
All the Browns had to do to have a winning record was start Shedeur Sanders this entire time. Actually, what they really needed to do was play the Raiders every week. Ten sacks? Wow.
-
New York Giants (2-10) – Previously: 25.
I’d love to know why Brian Daboll went with Russell Wilson over Jameis Winston early in the season. I didn’t even know why they signed Wilson when they already had Winston. It was obvious that Winston was better than Wilson could have ever been against the Packers and Lions.
-
Minnesota Vikings (4-7) – Previously: 20.
The Vikings had Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones on their roster, but they went with J.J. McCarthy. I don’t know what Kevin O’Connell ever saw in him because it’s apparent that McCarthy should have been a UDFA instead of a first-round pick. This could end up costing O’Connell his job. O’Connell might as well try Max Brosmer because he can’t be any worse than McCarthy.
-
Miami Dolphins (4-7) – Previously: 28.
The Dolphins were outgained by the Redskins in total yards and yards per play. It’s a shame that they have a bye this upcoming week, because I’d love to fade them following another bogus victory.
-
New Orleans Saints (2-9) – Previously: 29.
Tyler Shough was not able to continue the success he had against the Panthers. It’ll be interesting to see if they give up on him despite spending the 40th-overall draft pick on him. I have them doing so in my 2026 NFL Mock Draft .
-
Washington Redskins (3-8) – Previously: 30.
The Redskins outgained the Dolphins in total yards and yards per play, but lost because of multiple turnovers. They were the true winners in Spain, however, because they improved their draft positioning.
-
New York Jets (2-9) – Previously: 31.
The Jets got a BS win with two special-teams touchdowns over the Browns, but went back to their losing ways.
New York’s 2-9 record is especially remarkable because it’s gone against Group C-F teams in eight of its 11 games. The only teams they’ve battled all year that are above average are the Bills, Patriots, and the Ravens. All three of those games were decided by double digits.
-
Las Vegas Raiders (2-9) – Previously: 27.
The Raiders hung around with the Broncos, but they accumulated only 180 yards of offense. If Bo Nix didn’t play so poorly, the Raiders would have gotten blown out. The Raiders were blown out against the Cowboys, and I found myself asking why they’re not in Group F. I found my answer when the Raiders lost to Shedeur Sanders by two touchdowns. Ten sacks allowed was a pathetic showing.
-
Tennessee Titans (1-10) – Previously: 32.
The Titans, thanks to their covers against the Texans and Seahawks, are now 7-24 against the spread since Week 1 of last year. It’s truly remarkable how awful they’ve been. The only way they cover is via back-door nonsense in the fourth quarter.
