Ben Banogu, DE/OLB, TCU 
Ben Banogu posted some terrific workout numbers in Indianapolis. He began his Sunday with an 11-foot-2 broad jump and a 40-inch broad jump, then went on to run a 4.62 40 with a 1.56 10-yard split. He also had a great 3-cone time of 7.02.
Brian Burns, DE/OLB, Florida State Brian Burns posted some great numbers at the combine, but those were expected. Burns was always seen as a better athlete than a football player, and that was demonstrated when he leapt a 10-foot-9 broad jump, then ran a 4.53 40 with a 1.61 10-yard split. I wasn’t going to give a stock-up arrow to Burns because this was expected, but Burns earned one for his great work in the field drills. He looked natural in them, and his excellent performance in those could pus him into the first round.
John Cominsky, DE, Charleston John Cominsky came into the combine with some questions about his level of competition, but there’s no doubting his athleticism after what he did in the field workouts. Cominsky blazed the 40-yard dash with a 4.69 40 despite the fact that he weighed in at 6-5, 286. Those are the same measureables Aaron Donald had five years ago.
Jamal Davis, LB, Akron Jamal Davis had one of the best 10-yard splits in the 40-yard dash among the defensive linemen, getting a 1.58 on his 4.60 run. He also had some other excellent testing numbers, including a 39-inch vertical and a 7.00 3-cone time. Davis’ best moments were in the drills, especially when he was asked to drop into coverage. He was terrific in those, so he certainly helped his draft stock.
Trysten Hill, DT, Central Florida Trysten Hill didn’t have the best 40 time – he ran a 5.04 at 6-3, 308 – but he was the top performer of all the defensive tackles in the drills. He was highly impressive in that regard, absolutely helping himself despite not testing extremely well athletically.
CeCe Jefferson, DE, Florida 
CeCe Jefferson needed a big combine performance after getting suspended and benched last year. He experienced the opposite, as he ran a sluggish 5.02 40 and posted poor jumping numbers (30.5-inch vertical, 9-0 broad jump.) He was also stiff the drills. Jefferson appears to be undraftable at the moment.
Jalen Jelks, DE/OLB, Oregon Jalen Jelks tested poorly athletically, which was surprising to say the least. Jelks ran a slow 4.92 despite weighing in at just 6-5, 256. He also had a 32.5-inch vertical and a 9-foot-5 broad jump.
Dre’Mont Jones, DT, Ohio State Dre’Mont Jones had a bad showing at the combine. Despite weighing in at just 281 pounds, he ran a 5.12 40. His 3-cone time was an even worse mark, as he timed in 7.71, one of the worst marks among players at the position.
Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson Dexter Lawrence injured his quad on his first 40 run, but what a 40 it was! Lawrence ran a 5.05 with a 1.76 10-yard split. He did this despite measuring in at 6-5, 342! Lawrence also benched 36 reps the day before. He’ll have a chance to complete his workout at the Clemson pro day, but Lawrence’s stock is definitely up after that impressive 40.
Jachai Polite, DE, Florida Yikes. Jachai Polite killed his draft stock in Indianapolis. He looked out of shape, and that was reflected in his slow 40 (4.84 at 258 pounds.) He couldn’t finish his workout because of an injury. His arm length (32 5/8) was disappointing. And worst of all, Polite wasn’t good in the interviews, with two teams telling Charlie Campbell that they were thinking of removing Polite from their draft boards entirely. Polite may have dropped out of first-round consideration.
Khalen Saunders, NT, Western Illinois Khalen Saunders was excellent at the Senior Bowl. He continued his great pre-draft process at the combine. Saunders, despite weighing in at 6-0, 324, ran a 5.01 40 with a 1.73 10-yard split. Saunders proved that he could compete with the 1-A players at the Senior Bowl, and he showed some great athleticism for a 324-pound defensive lineman in Indianapolis. Saunders has solidified his day-two status.
Montez Sweat, DE/OLB, Mississippi State Montez Sweat was one of the top trending topics on Twitter for what he did in the 40-yard dash. Sweat ran a 4.41 with a 10-yard split of 1.55, which is just absurd. For context, Sweat ran a faster 40 than Jadeveon Clowney at about the same size (6-6, 260). It wasn’t a complete win for Sweat, who looked a bit stiff in the drills, but he definitely helped himself in Indianapolis.
Jerry Tillery, DT, Notre Dame Jerry Tillery interviewed well at the combine, so his stock was trending upward prior to his Sunday workout. Tillery did not disappoint on the field. The Notre Dame product ran a 4.93 40 with a 1.69 10-yard split.
Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson Christian Wilkins is a potential top-10 pick, thanks to a great performance in the national championship. He continued to impress at the combine. He ran a 5.04 despite weighing in at 6-3, 315. Wilkins was also very smooth in the drills, which was not a surprise.
Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama Quinnen Williams is considered a potential top-overall selection for a reason. He’s very athletic for a 303-pound lineman, and he showed that in Indianapolis. He ran a 4.83 40 with a 1.67 10-yard split, which is comparable to how Aaron Donald performed prior to the 2014 NFL Draft. Williams then went on to thrive in the drills. There was a report from Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area that Oakland will not pass on Williams if he’s available at No. 4 overall.
Chase Winovich, DE/OLB, Michigan There were questions about Chase Winovich’s athleticism heading into the combine. Winovich quelled those concerns with a 4.59 40-yard dash and his 1.57 10-yard split. Winovich, who posted a terrific 6.94 3-cone time, also thrived in the drills, looking extremely fluid. Winovich may not have moved into first-round consideration, but he definitely cemented his second-round status by what he did in Indianapolis.
