2020 NFL Draft Position Rankings:
QB | RB | FB | WR | TE | OT | G | C | DE | DT | NT | 3-4 OLB | 3-4 DE | OLB | ILB | CB | S | K | P

  1. Najee Harris*, RB, Alabama
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 230.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.53.
    Projected Round (2020): 1.

8/14/18: Harris was a star recruit coming out of high school, and as a freshman, he flashed a tremendous skill set with size, power and speed. He averaged 6.1 yards per carry for 370 yards with three touchdowns on the year. Alabama didn't give him a lot of carries because of more experienced players ahead of him like Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough. By the time of the 2020 NFL Draft, Harris probably will establish himself as an elite runner given his superb physical talent.

  2. J.K. Dobbins*, RB, Ohio State
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 214.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
    Projected Round (2020): 1-2.

8/14/18: Mike Weber was supposed to be the next star running back at Ohio State in 2017, but an injury slowed him down to start the season. The Buckeyes turned to Dobbins and never looked back as the freshman dominated the competition. He averaged 7.2 yards per carry for 1,403 yards with seven touchdowns. He also had 22 receptions for 135 yards and a touchdown. Dobbins has a fast first-step and is dangerous to break off long runs on any carry.

  3. Rodney Anderson, RB, Oklahoma
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 219.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
    Projected Round (2020): 2-3.

8/14/18: With Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine in the NFL, Anderson took over as Oklahoma's feature back and had an impressive 2017 season. On the year, he averaged 5.9 yards per carry for 960 yards and 11 touchdowns on only 162 carries. He also had 16 receptions for 283 yards and three touchdowns.

Even though he has a build with size, Anderson shows impressive speed with first-step quickness and a burst to get to the second level. In the tackle box, he runs with nice knee bend to stay behind his pads and run through contact. Anderson flashes an ability to run angry and charges hard downhill. When he gets to the open field, he stands up higher to run away from defenders. Anderson also showed superb receiving ability. He ran good routes, adjusted well to the ball, make acrobatic catches, and showed soft hands. While Anderson is not a burner back like Chris Johnson, Anderson has a combination of size, speed, and receiving ability that reminds this analyst of Arian Foster and DeMarco Murray.

  4. Jonathan Taylor*, RB, Wisconsin
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 216.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
    Projected Round (2020): 2-3.

8/14/18: Taylor broke out in 2017, averaging 6.6 yards per carry for 1,977 yards with 13 touchdowns. He showed an overwhelming combination of size, quickness, and natural running skills. With a good offensive line and an easy schedule, Taylor could put together some huge seasons to make himself one of the top running back prospects in his draft class.

  5. Bennie Snell Jr., RB, Kentucky
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 223.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
    Projected Round (2020): 2-3.

8/14/18: Snell was fantastic in 2015, taking the SEC by storm. The freshman averaged 5.9 yards per carry for 1,091 yards with 13 touchdowns in his debut for the Wildcats. He only received 186 carries and didn't play in the first two games of the season, so he could have produced a lot more.

In 2017, defenses sold out to stop Snell, but he still averaged 5.1 yards per carry for 1,333 yards with 19 touchdowns on 262 carries. He also had 10 receptions for 72 yards. Snell has good size with a burst and is a tough runner who picks up yards after contact. He looks like an early-round talent.

  6. Cam Akers*, RB, Florida State
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 213.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.51.
    Projected Round (2020): 2-3.

  7. Devin Singletary, RB, Florida Atlantic
    Height: 5-7. Weight: 199.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.58.
    Projected Round (2020): 2-4.

  8. Mike Weber, RB, Ohio State
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 212.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
    Projected Round (2020): 2-4.

  9. Malik Davis*, RB, Florida
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 194.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.51.
    Projected Round (2020): 3-4.

  10. D'Andre Swift*, RB, Georgia
    Height: 5-9. Weight: 215.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
    Projected Round (2020): 3-4.

  11. Jordan Scarlett, RB, Florida
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 213.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
    Projected Round (2020): 4-6.

  12. David Montgomery, RB, Iowa State
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 219.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.62.
    Projected Round (2020): 4-6.

  13. KirVonte Benson, RB, Georgia Tech
    Height: 5-9. Weight: 211.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
    Projected Round (2020): 4-6.

  14. Alex Barnes, RB, Kansas State
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 227.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.59.
    Projected Round (2020): 4-6.

  15. Brian Robinson Jr.*, RB, Alabama
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 221.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.53.
    Projected Round (2020): 5-7.

  16. Justice Hill, RB, Oklahoma State
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 185.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
    Projected Round (2020): 5-7.

  17. Devwah Whaley, RB, Arkansas
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 216.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
    Projected Round (2020): 6-FA.

  18. A.J. Dillon, RB/FB, Boston College
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 245.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.59.
    Projected Round (2020): 4-6.

8/14/18: The power back Dillon had a big 2017 season for Boston College averaging 5.3 yards per carry for 1,589 yards with 14 touchdowns. He had zero receptions. Dillion should move to fullback for the NFL.

  19. Spencer Brown*, RB/FB, UAB
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 220.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
    Projected Round (2020): 7-FA.

8/14/18: Brown is a big back who had an impressive 2017 season. He averaged 5.3 yards per carry for 1,329 yards with 10 touchdowns. Brown may not have the speed to stay at running back in the NFL, but he could gain weight and play some fullback.

  20. Darrell Henderson*, RB, Memphis
    Height: 5-9. Weight: 200.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.58.
    Projected Round (2020): 7-FA.
