The defending Super Bowl Champs continue to get wins however they can. So far, it's through their defense, which very well may be the best in Tom Brady's career. The Pats defense is converting a turnover on 22.8% of their drives, and have only allowed opposing offenses to scoring on 5% of their drives. 5%!

The 49ers are in a very similar boat to the Patriots so far this season. Their team is being led by their defense. While I feel the 49ers have more weapons on offense, especially with the addition of Emmanuel Sanders, time will tell if this run is sustainable for a team that is playing in a very competitive NFC West.

The Packers are 4-plays at the 1-yard line away from being 7-0. Following a 6 TD game from QB Aaron Rodgers, and a defense that appears to be much improved over the past few seasons, the Packers are looking like one of the teams to beat in the entire NFL.

When Drew Brees went down, most pundits forecasted the Saints to be pretty well burnt this season. Thanks to the leadership of Sean Payton and Teddy Bridgewater however, the team is still atop the NFC South, and have won 5 straight games.

QB Lamar Jackson and the Ravens got a big win in Seattle on Sunday. Their offense ranks 2nd in points and total yards, and 1st in rushing yards this season. They have their BYE this week, and will want to come out as fresh as possible going into a Sunday Night Football matchup against the Patriots.

Buffalo just keeps winning. They haven't been particularly impressive this season, but that have still managed to get their record to 5-1 heading into Week 8. We should see some indication of whether this team is for real or not this week, when they host the Philadelphia Eagles.

Minnesota is a very good team. An offense loaded with weapons, paired with a defense that is still one of the best in the NFL, the Vikings are 5-2, and just a game back of the Packers in the NFC North. Their schedule doesn't get easy however, after a meeting on Thursday against the Redskins, the Vikings will have to travel to both the Chiefs and Dallas.

Seattle is probably better than 8th, but following their loss at home to Baltimore, this is where I have them slated. Led by Russell Wilson's arm, and Chris Carson on the ground, the Seahawks continue to be a force in the NFC West. At this point, your guess is as good as anyone's as to who is the team to beat in the division between SEA, SF, and LAR.

The Colts have beaten the Chiefs and the Houston Texans in their last 2 games. They stared down 2 of the best QBs in the NFL, and managed to pretty well contain them. Jacoby Brissett is making believers out of a lot of the Colts fanbase, as well as gaining respect around the league, following a 4 TD outing on Sunday. The Colts next 6 games are very winnable, if they maintain this level of play. Watch for this team to continue their climb up the rankings.

10 CAR

Carolina has quietly gone to 4-2 on the season, despite losing Cam Newton a few weeks ago. Christian McCaffrey continues to be a favorite of this offense, and through 3 starts, rookie QB Kyle Allen has averaged 300 yards and more than 2 TDs per game. Carolina has a tough matchup coming off their BYE this week however, as they have to travel to San Francisco to take on the undefeated 49ers.
