3 Teams that could fade down the stretch.
The NFL season is about half way done for most teams and though much has
been revealed about who is good and who isn’t, there is still half a season to
be played and the projected finishes of teams can still drastically change by
the end of the year. In this article I
will discuss 3 teams that could end up fading down the stretch despite their
hot starts to the year.
Tennessee Titans 5-2
The Titans have gotten off to a strong start to their 2020 season following up their deep playoff run from last year. Losing to Pittsburgh wasn’t a big deal, but losing to Cincinnati is a bigger deal, especially when your qb underperforms significantly. A reasonably tough schedule puts them in position where they could still easily lose it to the Colts. Ryan Tannehill isn’t good enough to carry this team, he is a game manager. I wouldn’t hit the panic button yet, but this is one to watch…
LA Rams 5-3
The Rams probably have the toughest remaining schedule of these 3 teams with all but 2 of their 8 remaining games going against playoff contenders, it will be a hard fight for this team and losing to the Dolphins certainly didn’t help this team, they could easily finish with a 7 or 8 win season despite a strong start.
Buffalo Bills 6-2
The Bills really haven’t looked that great for 4 weeks now, however the last 2 opponents have made it less noticeable. Josh Allen hasn’t thrown for a td in the last 2 games and his game passer ratings are way down from the start of the season. They may get to the playoffs limping with their remaining schedule with games against Seattle, AZ, and Pitt to come. I thought they would win their lousy division by default; however the Dolphins are looking like they could actually challenge them. With 6 wins they may have already done almost enough to make the playoffs, but this is one to watch…
