Every NFL Head Coach Rated Based of Their Job Security Published at 6/25/2020
|
Explaining what this list will be: I will be rating each head coach in the NFL 1-10 based on the security of their job (Are they fine and won't be fired anytime soon, or on the hot seat) 1 being they are completely fine/they would have to hit rock bottom this season to get fired, 10 being they are on the hot seat/how do they have a job.
I AM NOT INCLUDING FIRST YEAR HEAD COACHES
Kliff Kingsbury(Cardinals): 7. I thought this guy was really solid. I mean I truly did. But as though they did have a few holes in the team, he had one hell of an offense and solid defense to work with and they weren't great. He has to prove himself this year with a good draft if he plans on staying next year.
Falcons: Vacant
John Harbaugh(Ravens): 1. Don't see any problems with him.
Sean McDermott(Bills): 1. He was a 6 last year for me. Wasn't on the "hot seat" but definitely needed a playoff win and he got that. He should be safe
Matt Rhule(Panthers): 4. I truly do believe this team is a QB away next year from 10-6.
Matt Nagy(Bears): 8. He might get fired in the next week seeing as though I just made this after their loss. He isn't a bad coach in my opinion he just doesn't work well with Trubisky.
Zac Taylor(Bengals): 8. I was wrong about Taylor. I know he didn't have Burrow but they were atrocious this year. Unless they are outstanding with Burrow this year, he is out.
Kevan Stefanski(Browns): 2. Really good coach. Brought the best out in Baker.
Mike McCarthy(Cowboys): 6. This team would have 100% have won the division barring Dak getting hurt. So he gets a pass. But that defense was atrocious this year.
Vic Fangio(Broncos): 7. Needs to realize Lock is not the future. At the midseason, he will either be fired, or doing well enough to be in the hunt.
Lions: Vacant
Matt LaFleur(Packers): 1 He's fine. The troubles will only come out when Love becomes the QB and he doesn't have Arod anymore.
Texans: Vacant
Frank Reich(Colts): 2. This Colts team is really good. Next year they are a QB away from 12-4/13-3
Jaguars: Vacant
Andy Reid(Chiefs): 1. Next...
Jon Gruden(Raiders): 5. Needs to determine whether or not Carr is the guy and the defense needs help.
Chargers: Vacant
Sean McVay(Rams): 2. Only way he ever leaves is if they are absolutely awful
Brian Flores(Dolphins): 1. Flores is special. He should be in Miami for a long time.
Mike Zimmer(Vikings): 5. As long as they play next year how they did in the last 7 games on this past year, they should be a good team
Bill Belichick(Patriots): 2. I think the only way he leaves, is if they decide to kind of flush the organization out and rebuild.
Sean Payton(Saints): 1. For me, this team has too much talent for him to possibly fail.
Joe Judge(Giants): 3. Well put together coach that did solid with what he had.
Jets(Vacant)
Eagles(Vacant)
Mike Tomlin(Steelers): 3. Needs to move on from Big Ben
Kyle Shanahan(49ers): 1. He just got HUGE extension. So, it'd be extremely odd if he went out, no matter what the success.
Pete Carroll(Seahawks): 3. Should really retire, but he isn't doing awful. Think there is too many divas on the Seahawks.
Bruce Arians(Buccaneers): 4. Isn't really a coach to get excited about, but has done much good for the Bucs.
Mike Vrabel(Titans): 2. Excellent coach. Just doesn't really have a great defense
Ron Rivera(WFT): 4. This guy is good. Had no offense this year. Once he gets one they should be realllly good next year.
