Offensive tackle is a premium position in the NFL, and there is always a huge demand for talented quarterback protectors. Two offensive tackles who are on the radar for the 2023 NFL Draft are the Oklahoma tandem of left tackle Anton Harrison and right tackle Wanya Morris. Both of them have enjoyed quality collegiate careers, with Morris transferring to the Sooners from Tennessee. NFL scouts who watched them at fall camp told WalterFootball.com that both Oklahoma tackles are talented but really lack physicality. As a result, those scouts think they have the potential to go as high as the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft and as low as the third round.

“They’re too talented to fall out of the third round,” said an AFC area scout. “Harrison has ability. He’s quick, athletic, good size … just too finesse. Morris is similar; good skill set but not physical.”

Many college teams have moved toward a high-paced offense running up-tempo between plays, and as a result, some coaches don’t want linemen finishing defenders off. Still, some scouts feel Harrison (6-6, 315) and Morris (6-6, 305) have to show more physicality in order to be true first-round picks in the 2023 NFL Drafts.
