NBA FanDuel Plays for 4/3/2019

By Chet Gresham - @ChetGresham

Recent Advisories:

Tyreke Evans $4300 - SG - Pacers @ DET
18.3 per 28.1 minutes || $235 per point

With Darren Collison and Wesley Matthews out, Evans will again get the start against Detroit, who they just played a couple of days ago. Evans had an okay game with 25.8 DK points in 27 minutes and he has upside for more tonight.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot $4100 - SF/PF - Bulls @ WAS
19.5 per 25.7 minutes || $210.3 per point

The Bulls are playing their absolute scrubs and that is good for Mr. TLC, as he's been getting good playing time and will face an awful Wizards' defense, which ranks dead last in defensive efficiency against small and power forwards since the All-Star break. He's also put up 38.5 and 20.25 DK points over his last two games and 28 DK points against this same Wizards team a couple of weeks ago.

JaKarr Sampson $3500 - SF/PF - Bulls @ WAS
35.8 per 29.4 minutes || $97.8 per point

Sampson signed a ten-day contract with the Bulls and played his first game in New York, putting up a strong 34.8 DK points on 8-of-10 shooting with seven boards. If he can see 30 minutes again in a plus matchup like this one, he should again give us value.

Ben Simmons $9800 - PG/SF - 76ers @ ATL
57 per 33.3 minutes || $171.9 per point

There should be plenty of value out there tonight with 12 games going and many players resting or injured, so paying up for players like Simmons in good matchups feels doable despite his price rising to $9,500. Both Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler will be out again tonight and Atlanta remains the worst defense against point guards in the league and the highest paced team. This game should also be closer than these two teams would be if Embiid and Butler were playing, pushing Simmons to play full minutes, likely hitting his average of 57.3 DK points in three games so far against the Hawks.

James Ennis $4000 - SF/PF - 76ers @ ATL
11.2 per 11.7 minutes || $357.1 per point

Ennis got the start with Jimmy Butler out last game and should again tonight. He only made 1-of-6 shots, but still ended up with 22 DK points. Atlanta ranks 29th in defensive efficiency against small forwards this season and this game has the highest over/under of the night, pushing everyone up a little.

Delon Wright $7000 - PG - Grizzlies @ POR
31.8 per 28.7 minutes || $220.1 per point

Mike Conley is doubtful tonight, so Wright gets another chance to lead the way for Memphis. Over the last three games Conley missed, Wright averaged 43 DK points. In his one game against Portland this year he put up 35.8 DK points, so the tough matchup shouldn't be a huge concern.

Bruno Caboclo $5600 - SF/PF - Grizzlies @ POR
22.6 per 19.9 minutes || $247.8 per point

In his last game, Caboclo got into early foul trouble and then the game quickly became a blowout against the Clippers, but before that, he had put up 47.8, 46.8 and 26.5 DK points in big minutes. Tonight he gets a Portland team that ranks dead last in defensive efficiency against small forwards this season, giving Caboclo a good chance to get back on track.

J.J. Redick $5800 - SG - 76ers @ ATL
36.9 per 35 minutes || $157.2 per point

Redick had 35.8 DK points against Dallas with Jimmy Butler and Joel Embiid out last game and put up 17 shots on his way to 26 real points. That increase in usage against an Atlanta team that ranks 28th in defensive efficiency to shooting guards should propel him to another strong game with GPP upside.

Ivan Rabb $4800 - PF/C - Grizzlies @ POR
31 per 31.3 minutes || $154.8 per point

The Grizzlies are down multiple big men, which should push Rabb into big minutes tonight. Portland is tough against power forwards, but Rabb has put up 37 DK points in 33 minutes against Portland this year and when you couple that with his price and usage, he should be able to help you out. Keep an eye on Joakim Noah's status, as his presence could hurt Rabb slightly, but either way, I like Rabb tonight.

Al Horford $7600 - C - Celtics @ MIA
41.6 per 35.2 minutes || $182.7 per point

Horford has been on fire, topping 37 DK points in each of his last five games. In his last game, against this same Miami team, he put up a triple-double and 53.8 DK points and hit 44.5 DK points in their previous matchup.

Luka Doncic $9400 - PG - Mavericks vs MIN
49.4 per 31.8 minutes || $190.3 per point

Doncic will play tonight, pushing Trey Burke out of value play consideration, but on a slate where we have some cheap plays, Doncic could fit in a great matchup. Minnesota ranks last in defensive efficiency against backcourts since the All-Star break and Doncic averaged 53 DK points against them in two games so far.

Christian Wood $6600 - PF/C - Pelicans vs CHA
17.3 per 20.7 minutes || $381.5 per point

Wood continues to put up strong DK points, hitting 53.3, 45.3 and 33.8 over his last three games and should continue to see good minutes against a poor Charlotte frontcourt defense if Anthony Davis remains out.

Jabari Parker $6700 - PF - Wizards vs CHI
9.3 per 11.8 minutes || $720.4 per point

Parker has destroyed his old team in his two games against them after he was traded to the Wizards, putting up 46 and 40 DK points. The revenge narrative seems to be on point so far.

Guillermo Hernangomez $5500 - C - Hornets @ NOR
13.4 per 14.8 minutes || $410.5 per point

Marvin Williams and Cody Zeller are out tonight and the Pelicans rank 29th in defensive efficiency against frontcourts since the All-Star break. That could push Frank Kaminsky into a bigger role at power forward and he's a player to watch, but Hernangomez has proven himself with Cody Zeller out, as he's put up 28.8 and 32.5 DK points in his last two despite just an average of 22 minutes and facing tough matchups with Utah and Golden State. Tonight's matchup will be much easier and he should see at least a small increase in minutes.

Troy Brown $4300 - SG/SF - Wizards vs CHI
13.4 per 35.8 minutes || $320.9 per point

Trevor Ariza and Jeff Green are out tonight, giving Brown another chance at good minutes and usage. In his last two games he's had 30 and 42 minutes and put up 26.5 and 38.8 DK points. Chicago is now down to playing their scrubs and despite ranking well against small forwards on the season, they rank 22nd over the last ten games against the position.

Andre Drummond $10800 - C - Pistons vs IND
69.3 per 43.4 minutes || $155.8 per point

If Blake Griffin is out again tonight, Drummond will continue to be a strong start, even against a good Indiana defense. Drummond put up 54.8 DK points in a loss at Indiana last game and will be at home tonight with the same matchup. This season Drummond has averaged a seven percent better shooting percentage at home which has translated into 6.6 more DK points in Detroit this season.
