Mock Draft #2. I worked a couple more trades in this time

Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback, Clemson

Still no commentary necessary

2. Jets: Zach Wilson, Quarterback, BYU

I'm still going to ride with Wilson going second. Fields has shown to be competition for this pick but I still think it's Wilson.

3. 49ers: Trey Lance, Quarterback, North Dakota State

Everyone says the Niners traded up for Mac Jones but I'm keeping Lance here in protest because if the Niners gave up that much to draft Jones at #3 they're crazy.

4. Broncos: Justin Fields, Quarterback, Ohio State

*TRADE* The Broncos are basically a QB away from being a really good team. They could pull the trigger here.

5. Bengals: Penei Sewell, Offensive Tackle, Oregon

The Bengals should address OL before picking another receiver for Burrow

6. Dolphins: Kyle Pitts, Tight End, Florida

The Dolphins are looking at Pitts and Chase here in my opinion and Pitts would play a better role for them in creating mismatches

7. Lions: Ja'Marr Chase, Wide Receiver, LSU

The Lions take the best player on their board at a position of need

8. Panthers: Rashawn Slater, Offensive Guard, Northwestern

After trading for Darnold they turn back to addressing the OL

9. Falcons: Patrick Surtain, Cornerback, Alabama

*TRADE* After a trade back the Falcons can get better value at a position of need. They might prefer getting a pass rusher here but none are worthy.

10. Patriots: Mac Jones, Quarterback, Alabama

*TRADE* The Patriots slide up a few spots for their QB of the future. They make the trade up because teams like Washington or Chicago could be thinking of doing the same

11. Giants: DeVonta Smith, Wide Receiver, Alabama

There are rumors that Gettleman will be looking to maximize the weapons for Daniel Jones to get some improvement because his job will be tied to the QB's development

12. Eagles: Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama

After the trade back, they still get a pass catcher for the new QB. Waddle and DeVanta Smith can be interchangeable, just depends on what teams have them ranked on their board

13. Chargers: Christian Darrisaw, Offensive Tackle, Virginia Tech

The Chargers still have some work to do along the OL, Darrisaw can be the new LT

14. Vikings: Alijah Vera-Tucker, Offensive Guard, USC

The likeliest choices are OL and DL to me. I think they'll prioritize OL unless they trade for Orlando Brown Jr before this pick, or unless Danielle Hunter gets traded.

15. Cowboys: Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina

*TRADE* The Cowboys move back a few spots and still get their target

16. Cardinals: Caleb Farley, Cornerback, Virginia Tech

The Cardinals can use this pick to try to replace Patrick Peterson. They might luck out and get the better CB if Farley comes back healthy.
