I run my mock draft like I am the GM of each team. Do succeed in the NFL you need a stud QB, pass defense, pass rush, pass protection, and playmakers in that order. It is ONLY worth it to trade multiple picks for a franchise QB, no other position is worth it.

Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Jets: Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback, Clemson

We have already fired Adam Chase because he is a terrible coach that we should have never hired. We don't really want to give up on Darnold but we can't pass up Lawrence and end up in a Bears Truibsky fiasco.
Lawrence is a stud with all the tools and ability to carry his team to the national championship game every year.

2. Giants: Penei Sewell, Offensive Tackle, Oregon

I know we just drafted Becton but he can play RT. Sewell is an absolute stud and we will have the best young OT tandem in the NFL.

3. Falcons: Justin Fields, Quarterback, Ohio State

We are a mess. We haven't recovered from the Super Bowl meltdown. It's time to plan for the future with a high draft pick. Fields is simply to good to pass up.

4. Dolphins: Ja'Marr Chase, Wide Receiver, LSU

We get the Texans 1st round pick for Laremy Tunsil OT
Our future QB needs weapons and Chase is a #1 caliber WR with all the tools to dominate.

5. Jaguars: Patrick Surtain II, Cornerback, Alabama

We drafted one stud CB last year and know we get another one. Great defenses have great pass civerage. Surtain is big and can cover.

6. Vikings: Trey Lance, Quarterback, North Dakota State

We restructured Cousins contract but we are in a financial pinch and need to have a plan. Lance will need 1-2 years of development anyway before he is ready.

7. Lions: Gregory Rousseau, Defensive End, Miami

We must improve our defense and adding another pass rusher is a good place to start.

8. Broncos: Prospect not selected

We might need a new LT next year and if we don't Leatherwood can start at OG. We need to protect Lock.

9. Dolphins: Micah Parsons, Linebacker, Penn State

Pick #4 = Ja'marr Chase WR
We need someone that can play pass coverage at LB. Parsons is the best available.

10. Cowboys: Sam Cosmi, Offensive Tackle, Texas

Are offensive line has been decimated by injuries and Smith just isn't the same player he once was. We need youth and depth.

11. Redskins: Kyle Pitts, Tight End, Florida

Pitts is an absolute stud at TE and we need playmakers on offense.

12. Bengals: Caleb Farley, Cornerback, Virginia Tech

We need more talent in pass coverage. Farley is a big man to man CB.

13. Chargers: Wyatt Davis, Offensive Guard, Ohio State

We need better pass protection for our young QB.

14. Eagles: Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama

We obviously still need more WR talent.

15. 49ers: Prospect not selected

We need more youth at CB.

16. Raiders: Dylan Moses, Inside Linebacker, Alabama

We signed 2 linebackers last year but we need a 3rd.
