Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Bengals: Joe Burrow, Quarterback, LSU

Easy pick

2. Redskins: Chase Young, Defensive End, Ohio State

Another easy pick

3. Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa, Quarterback, Alabama

I hate predicting trades. I think Miami will want to secure their franchise QB here

4. Giants: Tristan Wirfs, Offensive Tackle, Iowa

Toss up between Wirfs and Wills here but gave the slight edge to Wirfs

5. Lions: Derrick Brown, Defensive Tackle, Auburn

Assuming the Lions are here. Their GM said this is a deep CB class and it is. The Lions can get a CB in round 2 imo. In a division with Dalvin Cook and Aaron Jones you need a better D line than what the Lions currently have

6. Chargers: Justin Herbert, Quarterback, Oregon

The Chargers are disappointed they didn't secure their future franchise QB in 2017. They get a QB this time

7. Panthers: Isaiah Simmons, Outside Linebacker, Clemson

Luke Kuechly retiring created a big need at LB.

8. Cardinals: Jedrick Wills Jr., Offensive Tackle, Alabama

Kyler Murray wants CeeDee Lamb. He doesn't get him but Wills will help a lot

9. Jaguars: Jeff Okudah, Cornerback, Ohio State

Jacksonville got a great value pick last year they do so again here

10. Browns: Andrew Thomas, Offensive Tackle, Georgia

Thomas is a good fit for the Browns zone blocking scheme and fills the LT spot that's needed a long term starter since Joe Thomas got injured

11. Jets: C.J. Henderson, Cornerback, Florida

The Jets signed George Fant to be their LT. They need a RT but the best ones in Wirfs and Wills are off the board. Therefore, I went with Henderson who fills another position of need

12. Raiders: CeeDee Lamb, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma

GM Mike Mayock said at the combine the Raiders need to have a better Red Zone offense. Lamb would be a good addition to help that

13. 49ers: Henry Ruggs III, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Ruggs would be a great weapon to have in the quick passing and screen game for Shanahan's offense.

14. Buccaneers: Mekhi Becton, Offensive Tackle, Louisville

Tampa Bay should be targeting a OT and could trade up but don't want to give up their 2nd round pick. Becton might not make it here but if he does I think he's the pick

15. Broncos: Jerry Jeudy, Wide Receiver, Alabama

The rumored target of the Broncos. They might trade up for him but a good WR will be here anyways so they should stay put

16. Falcons: Javon Kinlaw, Defensive Tackle, South Carolina

The Falcons seem to really want to move up. They should just stay here and take whichever defensive player makes sense. In this scenario they improve the interior defense which is a must with Brees and Brady in the division
