Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Bengals: Joe Burrow, Quarterback, LSU

Unless Burrow pulls a Eli Manning or Laremy Tunsil, he'll be the pick here. Despite not having elite physical attributes you usually see out of a #1 pick, Burrow is a proven winner with great intangibles and a functional arm. He's by far the safest QB in the class.

2. Redskins: Chase Young, Defensive End, Ohio State

And the Redskins get the best player in the class. Hard imagining Young not being a consistent 10+ sack a year player.

3. Dolphins: Justin Herbert, Quarterback, Oregon

Like Walt, I think the Lions trade this pick. However, I think this goes to the Dolphins who might be weary another team (Chargers) jumps them for a QB. I've watched a bit of tape on Herbert, and he's such a frustrating player. He's the clear third best QB in the class, but goes #3 here due to Tua's injury concerns. Herbert has the physical makeup of a superstar (see his game against Colorado) but is way too inconsistent for my liking.

4. Giants: Tristan Wirfs, Offensive Tackle, Iowa

I have Thomas slightly higher than Wirfs and Wills on my board. But I think the Giants like Wifs better. The Giants need to help out Jones and Barkley with better O-Line play. I could also see Simmons going here.

5. Lions: Jeff Okudah, Cornerback, Ohio State

The Lions have a huge hole up front and Derrick Brown is a stud, but I can't shake the feeling that they are in love with Okudah. I still think he's the pick here.

6. Chargers: Tua Tagovailoa, Quarterback, Alabama

The Chargers are usually a patient drafting team, so I believe it's more likely the Dolphins panic and trade up. Tua, if healthy, would be 1b to Burrow's 1a atop the QB class.

7. Panthers: Derrick Brown, Defensive Tackle, Auburn

It's down to Simmons or Brown here. I believe the Panthers go for Brown in this scenario, as the positional value is a tad higher.

8. Cardinals: Isaiah Simmons, Outside Linebacker, Clemson

I believe Simmons will be a stud. The Cardinals need a guy like him roaming the middle of their defense.

9. Jaguars: Andrew Thomas, Offensive Tackle, Georgia

Thomas is good value here and provides the Jaguars with much need Oline help.

10. Browns: Mekhi Becton, Offensive Tackle, Louisville

The Browns need OLine help. I could see the Browns taking Becton over Wills.

11. Jets: Jedrick Wills, Offensive Tackle, Alabama

I believe Wills has an argument on being the best offensive lineman in the class - he has unbelievable feet. He's a good pick here.

12. Raiders: CeeDee Lamb, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma

I've had Lamb as my top wideout for most of the season. Agreed with Charlie - he looks like a Davante Adams clone. He should be a very good pro.

13. 49ers: Jerry Jeudy, Wide Receiver, Alabama

The 49ers lost Emmanuel Sanders in free agency and find his replacement here.

14. Buccaneers: Javon Kinlaw, Defensive Tackle, South Carolina

If the Bucs don't trade out of this pick, I could see them taking Kinlaw here, who's probably the BPA. He's a menace as an interior disputer.

15. Broncos: Henry Ruggs, Wide Receiver, Alabama

I could see Ruggs going to Oakland, but he fits well with the Broncos and will pair well with Courtland Sutton.

16. Falcons: C.J. Henderson, Cornerback, Florida

This is Henderson's floor. The Falcons make this pick quickly, as they need a replacement for Trufant.
