My first mock draft of the year, probably will make some changes.

Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Bengals: Joe Burrow, Quarterback, LSU

This one is pretty much set in stone, Bengals turning over the organization with a new coach and a QB who is a proven winner at the highest level in collegiate play. Has all the tools to be a hall of fame QB, but we've all seen that before.

2. Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa, Quarterback, Alabama

Miami I believe will trade up for Tua here. Making the biggest splash in the early part of free agency as well as stock piling 3 first round draft picks makes me believe this is what they would like to do. I think they will try and hold on to pick 18 and dump picks 5 and 26 in order to get Tua. However the Redskins could easily force the issue and get both 5 & 18 which is what I believe inevitably happens. Washington has a lot of holes and could get a player with a similar value of Tua at 5 and this move is favorable for them because they could build a quality team around a 2021 qb instead of trying to get the qb first.

3. Lions: Chase Young, Defensive End, Ohio State

This pick is a steal for the Lions. Patricia, a defensive guy, who lost a lot of the defensive line that they went into the 2019 season with, won't be able to pass up on possibly the most talented player in this draft class. The Lions need a pass rusher to go along opposite of trey flowers who is really best, in my opinion, as a 3 or 4 technique. Young is versatile but would be used as the 5 technique in this defense. Young would give the lions a force up front and then they could look into getting secondary help later in the draft or in free agency.

4. Giants: Mekhi Becton, Offensive Tackle, Louisville

Giants have to give DJ some help here. Solder is not what he used to be and cant be counted on in that spot. Remmers and Zeitler are great veterans and if they could get another talented, athletic tackle to support the line that is in place they could really make a move in the down-trotten NFC east. They could go with a couple tackles here but I think Becton probably has the highest ceiling.

5. Redskins: Andrew Thomas, Offensive Tackle, Georgia

Redskins could go a couple different directions right here. If they are smart I think they go and replace Ereck Flowers at tackle. Its been seen that you dont want to give a rookie quarterback a pathetic offensive line and no receiver talent to work with (yes i know McLaurin has been pretty good, but hes a smaller slot receiver who I believe will continue to injury prone. Thomas is a solid pick here at 5.

6. Chargers: Justin Herbert, Quarterback, Oregon

If Herbert is still here at 5 I think the Chargers will be ecstatic. A lot of experts see the Chargers even trading up to get him, I just dont think its necessary based on what I think the Redskins should do. This is a cut and dry pick, LA has the pieces to win, they just need a young QB to grow into the existing team.

7. Panthers: Jeff Okudah, Cornerback, Ohio State

Once again, if Okudah is here at 7 its a no brainer for Carolina. We will see what plays out as far as the Cam Newton trade goes. I'm not sure if they will receive a first or a second. If they do receive a first I don't think it will be until next year.

8. Cardinals: Tristan Wirfs, Offensive Tackle, Iowa

After the Cardinals just trade raped the Texans and have all the necessary weapons for Kyler, I think they go out and get him some protection right here. They could elect to bolster the defense, but based on who their head coach is, I think they are more trying to replicate the Chiefs offense, and in order to do this they need protection for Kyler to improvise.

9. Jaguars: Derrick Brown, Defensive Tackle, Auburn

The Jags as currently constructed need a monster of a versatile dlineman to replace Calais Campbell which I think they will do here at 9. Because I think some of these offensive tackles will go sooner than their talent says they should, I believe some of the higher talented guys slip toward the bottom of the top 10.

10. Jets: Jerry Jeudy, Wide Receiver, Alabama

I think the Jets trade up one and the Browns move back and gain a 4th round pick as well. Darnold needs some help as far as weapons go and Jeudy is an absolute freak and would be a steal here at 10.

11. Browns: Jedrick Wills, Offensive Tackle, Alabama

Baker needs protection to be effective. I think the Browns made a great move going and getting another tight end to support the transition back to "21" sets for Baker. They could go defense right here but I think its imperative they focus on protecting their QB first and foremost. Especially in the AFC North.

12. Raiders: CeeDee Lamb, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma

Raiders may try and trade for the 10th pick to get Jeudy but I think the Jets need him more. We will see though. However, they will absolutely go for a WR with their first pick.

13. Cowboys: Grant Delpit, Safety, LSU

The cowboys need secondary help, extremely bad. They have two options, to sit and hope CJ Henderson is still available at 17 or to trade up and get Delpit. If Delpit is standing there at 13, which I think SF will trade regardless of what Dallas decides to do here, I think the reward in getting Delpit is greater than the risk of waiting around hoping no one grabs CJ.

14. Raiders: Isaiah Simmons, Outside Linebacker, Clemson

I think the Raiders trade up right here and go to get Simmons, for a Raider team that has little versatility on the defensive side of the ball, especially at the linebacker position, I think this is an awesome move for them. I think they will find a QB outside of the draft. Could possibly be the landing spot for Cam Newton or Jameis Winston.

15. Broncos: C.J. Henderson, Cornerback, Florida

After letting Chris Harris Jr. walk, I think the Broncos will be the ones to come in and scoop up CJ Henderson. Fills a need and helps them out in a division where you need secondary talent to compete.

16. Falcons: K'Lavon Chaisson, Defensive End, LSU

The Falcons could either go Epenesa or Chaisson right here. I think they go with the guy who is more athletic and fits the existing system in Atlanta the best. Epenesa is a guy that would fit great in the spot where Atlanta already has Takk Mckinley.
