Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Bengals: Joe Burrow, Quarterback, LSU

Clear cut pick here. They're not willing to trade this pick, and have already been feeding Burrow the playbook virtually. Lock it in.

2. Redskins: Chase Young, Defensive End, Ohio State

The pairing of Sweat and Young will be scary. Ron Riveria needs a top-flight pass-rusher like Chase Young. They wanna run the ball and play strong defense, and this a good start.

3. Dolphins: Justin Herbert, Quarterback, Oregon

Trade with DET
I think the Dolphins wanna move up to 3 to ensure they get their guy. I also think that guy is Herbert. This could also be the Chargers trading up, but regardless I think the choice is Herbert here.

4. Giants: Andrew Thomas, Offensive Tackle, Georgia

We know they want an offensive tackle, it's a matter of who. I think Thomas is the safest of the lineman - he's plug and play day one on the right or left side and franchise tackle for the next 10 years. He's the most complete lineman as well.

5. Lions: Jeff Okudah, Cornerback, Ohio State

Trade with MIA
I don't see the Lions trading lower than 5 or 6, because they want Okudah. It's smart to move down and still lock in their guy.

6. Chargers: Mekhi Becton, Offensive Tackle, Louisville

I'm buying the hype on the Chargers passing on a QB. Tyrod is a proven, capable starter who doesn't make mistakes. Really they need a tackle, and I believe they like the upside of Becton here.

7. Raiders: Isaiah Simmons, Outside Linebacker, Clemson

Trade with CAR
I feel like the Panthers have no problem taking Derrick Brown here, but I expect the raiders who have a lot of draft capital to try and move up for a generational prospect. The need a Saftey, and a Linebacker and a pass rusher, and this guy can do it all.

8. Cardinals: Tristan Wirfs, Offensive Tackle, Iowa

WR, and DT could be interesting here, but they need to protect their QB first. WR and DT are a lot deeper than OT, so this is a smart move.

9. Falcons: C.J. Henderson, Cornerback, Florida

Trade with JAC
The falcons are trying to aggressively trade into the top 10 for C.J. Henderson. Jags or Browns would be the most realistic places. The Jags could want Henderson as well. The Jags are kind of an enigma in this draft with so much capital, and how they seem to be scouting QB's. Tua is available so that's an option, but I could see them waiting to see if he slides some more since none of the next few picks really need a QB (Bridgewater will get a chance in Carolina).

10. Eagles: CeeDee Lamb, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma

Trade with CLE
Cleveland wants to trade back, and the Eagles love CeeDee Lamb. I think it makes sense for both teams considering the positions they want to target.

11. Jets: Jedrick Wills, Offensive Tackle, Alabama

They take the best tackle left on the board and it's a good one. Some have this guy as the best tackle in the class, so this is a great value.

12. Panthers: Derrick Brown, Defensive Tackle, Auburn

Trade with LV
Panthers are able to trade down and still get Derrick Brown. I think Brown takes a bit of a slide on draft day into this 12-16 range. Great value here for the Panthers.

13. 49ers: Javon Kinlaw, Defensive Tackle, South Carolina

WR is deep as everyone knows, but premier D-Line prospects are not. They also want to maintain that as their strength after trading Buckner.

14. Vikings: Henry Ruggs, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Trade with TB.
The Vikings need a WR who can stretch the field with now without Diggs. I think with the tackles gone, TB will try to move down. I think this trade is a little rich for the Vikings, but I believe someone trades up before Denver to land Ruggs. Other than Adam Thielen, the Vikings don't really have any other weapons for Cousins.

15. Broncos: Jerry Jeudy, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Lock gets a premier weapon. I think Jeudy could be the 3rd receiver taken on draft day because of some injury concerns.

16. Jaguars: Tua Tagovailoa, Quarterback, Alabama

Trade with ATL
Interesting pick here. The Jags are definitely scouting QB's and a good one falls here. Gives the Jags some competition for Minshew who could be the Franchise guy. Let's be real, the Jags could afford to take this risk, as they are blowing up the roster, and wouldn't compete for a playoff spot even if Tua is amazing. Also, for teams drafting in the Top 10, this is way more of a risk considering his injury history and the fact teams haven't been able to see him workout, medical teams haven't evaluated him. The Jags, however, with their draft capital can afford that risk.
