2019 NFL Mock Draft by comradpoko - 4/16/2019

Kyler Murray is not the First pick. No matter how you look at it, the Cardinals need too much to think about taking a hot name instead of picking logically. Rosen will excel in a Kliff Kingsbury Offense. I will be drafting as though I am the GM. I will not do trades in this mock.

Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Cardinals: Prospect not selected

We just got Kliff Kingsbury, so we get his guy, right? WRONG. We get a gold jacket guy who will be able to help my young passer have more opportunities to play the position. When people comp players, they worry too much about size. I comp Quinnen Williams to Aaron Donald with how he uses his technique and instinct to win before using his strength. As long as Williams wants to be the best, he has the gifts to be the best.

2. 49ers: Nick Bosa, Defensive End, Ohio State

I would have loved Quinnen Williams for the upside, I will now get Nick Bosa for his Floor. An undeniable double which will help Deforest Buckner and Dee Ford make their division rivals cry.

3. Jets: Josh Allen, 3-4 Outside Linebacker, Kentucky

I would love to take an offensive tackle, meaning I would love to trade down for better value there for one. Josh Allen is an athletic freak, but is more boom or bust due to only having one pass rush move. If he can be developed on the other hand, he will be a double digit sack producer every year while also offering help in coverage.

4. Raiders: Montez Sweat, Defensive End, Mississippi State

This team took Maurice Haurst although he had a heart condition that kept him out of the combine. Gruden will definitely take a chance here and get his discount Khalil Mack because there's almost nothing that compares to a generational pass rush talent.

5. Buccaneers: Christian Wilkins, Defensive Tackle, Clemson

Gerald McCoy's time in Tampa is limited, as he has no Guarenteed money left in his contract over the next 3 years. With this being said, I would keep him around for one more year to groom his replacement while trying to find a trade partner or just cut him. Gotta get the replacements while you can groom them.

6. Giants: Dwayne Haskins, Quarterback, Ohio State

Perfect situation for Haskins to land in. Perfect QB for the Giants situation. This will be an instant lock in pick. Haskins has the makings of a great QB, and with a year on the bench, this will give his offensive line more time to bond and become better with each other, not to mention they will be able to take a young receiver to develop with Haskins.

7. Jaguars: Jawaan Taylor, Offensive Tackle, Florida

Tackles are all the rage and the Jags will have no starting caliber tackles under contract after this year. Building for the future means looking at it, and this will be an amazing pick up for the Jags. Taylor has the upside to become a top 10 offensive tackle in the NFL, so as long he pushes himself, this should be a slam dunk pick.

8. Lions: Prospect not selected

When people say that you need edge rushers, I laugh. What you need are rushers. Although, since both of the best interior rushers are off the board, we will take the next best thing, a solid edge rusher. Between Trey Flowers, Romeo Okawara, Ferrell and Hand this will be a mighty good pass rush. I could also see the lions going Devin Bush since he's a better fit for the defense than Devin White.

9. Bills: Jonah Williams, Offensive Tackle, Alabama

I know people believe Jonah is best suited for the inside, but for me I compare him to Joe Thomas, a future Hall of Fame Tackle. He wins exactly how Joe used to and the short arms are not going to concern me too much. After all, he has longer arms than Joe Thomas with the same skill set as Joe Thomas. And if I'm wrong about him at tackle, the Bills could still use another interior lineman, so they will pick someone at 9 who is bust proof for them and they young QB.

10. Broncos: Devin White, Inside Linebacker, LSU

The Broncos are competitive now, and getting a Linebacker that Vic Fangio, who has produced 2 hall of famers and a future one will now get another All-Pro talent to mold. Get ready for another ridiculous Linebacker that will take this league by storm.

11. Bengals: Kyler Murray, Quarterback, Oklahoma

Dalton is 32 and has plateaued for the past 3 years. Unless every single one of his weapons is healthy, they play poorly. With this in mind, picture the Bengals with someone who could actually elevate the talent around him instead of the talent making the QB look better.

12. Packers: T.J. Hockenson, Tight End, Iowa

Now if there is ever a team that needs line help and wide receiver help, the beautiful position of Tight End comes in handy. Give Aaron Rodgers someone who can help his run game and elevate his pass game and with Matt LaFlaurrer play calling, it's a done deal.

13. Dolphins: Ed Oliver, Defensive Tackle, Houston

The dolphins lost their best offensive lineman even though they had the cap space to retain him and they lost their best defensive lineman although they had the cap space to retain him. Although I would like an Offensive lineman, the run on defensive lineman has put us in a pickle, so I'll get the best available. Let's go get Ed Oliver, the man who

14. Falcons: Prospect not selected

The Falcons already have a bona fide pass rush, so lets get them some extra time to get to the QB via better Corner play. Murphy has a tremendous Floor and this team needs a plug and play player as they want to win now.

15. Redskins: Prospect not selected

The chiefs have a legitemate defense, great young running back, solid offensive line and just a major hole at QB. They will take the QB with the highest floor and a good-great ceiling. Jay Gruden has made his QB's look better than they actually are, so this will help his development. I would comeback in the second round for a receiver to grow with him.

16. Panthers: Rashan Gary, Defensive End, Michigan

Most will be upset that Rashan Gary has Fallen this far. Everyone points to Ziggy Ansah and says that he's the comp. Ziggy Ansah played FOOTBALL for 2 years before he was drafted. He was raw due to inexperience. Rashan Gary on the other hand is raw on his own being. I trust the Panthers staff though to draw the best out of Gary, and at the very least make him into a decent starter.
