2019 NFL Mock Draft by Cap`n Crunch

2019 NFL Draft. New 5 RD edition. I draft as if I would be the GM for most teams. Tons of trades already in the books. Big changes with the Giants trading more than ever. Word is coming out that this draft has 20 or so players with a RD1 rank. While not top heavy, this draft has lots of depth RD2-5. Used Walter Football, Draft-Tek, & CBS rankings as a general guide.

Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Cardinals: Kyler Murray, Quarterback, Oklahoma

The Cards are looking to move J. Rosen. Not what I would do but, everything looks like K. Murray is their guy. Huge move for the Cards. Time will tell if it was the best decision.

2. 49ers: Nick Bosa, 3-4 Outside Linebacker, Ohio State

Niners need more on defense. They may trade this pick to a QB needy team but like the Jets they get no offers.

3. Jets: Quinnen Williams, 3-4 Defensive End, Alabama

Pass rushing will be a dire need for the rebuilding Jets. They keep offering to trade down to re-coup picks traded in 2018, but this season all of the QB`s seem to be ranked 10-30. Teams will be reluctant to trade up too far.

4. Raiders: Josh Allen, Outside Linebacker, Kentucky

Impact player for Raiders. They grab a replacement for the loss of K. Mack.

5. Redskins: Dwayne Haskins, Quarterback, Ohio State

Redskins try again and make a big trade up. They trade 2019 RD1, 2019 RD2, 2020 RD1.

6. Giants: Ed Oliver, Defensive Tackle, Houston

Giants need to get their QB of the future but recent signs point to them keeping E. Manning for 1-2 years -vs- drafting one this year. Changing this pick to the d-line. The Giants will use him all along their front line. Great pick.

7. Jaguars: Jawaan Taylor, Offensive Tackle, Florida

His big 2018 college season may have him atop the OT rankings. Athletic and plays well -vs- top competition.

8. Lions: Devin White, Inside Linebacker, LSU

Lions grab a dynamic LB in RD1. High upside and ceiling.

9. Falcons: Christian Wilkins, 3-4 Defensive End, Clemson

Falcons need a big man up the middle. They trade up to get their favorite DT/DE in this years class. Tons of experience and is a natural leader.

10. Broncos: Devin Bush, Inside Linebacker, Michigan

Their defense kept them in most games all year. They hope J. Flacco can hold the fort for a year or so. They pass on QB in RD1. Huge combine & stellar tape.

11. Bengals: Montez Sweat, Outside Linebacker, Mississippi State

Incredible combine to say the least. Enlarged heart issue but was cleared to test by doctors. Latest reports has teams saying his heart condition was misdiagnosed.

12. Packers: T.J. Hockenson, Tight End, Iowa

Packers go BPA and get a versatile player on offense. High ceiling & upside.

13. Dolphins: Rashan Gary, 3-4 Defensive End, Michigan

Injury concerns drops him out of the top 10. For now I feature the Phins getting J. Rosen.

14. Bills: D.K. Metcalf, Wide Receiver, Ole Miss

Bills get their playmaker on the outside. With his huge combine he would never last if they trade down too far. Their young QB J. Allen loves this pick.

15. Buccaneers: Drew Lock, Quarterback, Missouri

Bucs need to look for a new franchise QB. They trade down and still get their guy. Confident and a huge arm. B. Arians loves his potential and skillset.

16. Panthers: Clelin Ferrell, 3-4 Outside Linebacker, Clemson

Outstanding against Bama. Plays his best in the biggest games. TONS of great tape
