Round 1

1. Browns: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

With the Jets trading up to # 3 the Browns have to pick QB #1 overall. With passing up on Wentz and Watson they can't pass on a QB here. Dorsey seems to be interested in Allen and it makes really much sense to pick him. He has a big arm just as Mahomes who got selected by Dorsey in last year’s draft. He is big bodied but has also the ability to run with the ball if necessary. It makes so much sense to draft him. So at #1 goes Josh Allen out of Wyoming.

2. Giants: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Normally the Giants are a team to pick between 10 and 25. So with an old Eli Manning at QB and with an expected later pick for the next years the Giants don't really have an opportunity in my opinion to select someone like Nelson or Barkley. It seemed like they are very high on Darnold so here he goes.

3. Jets: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

With the trade-up and with Allen and Darnold being gone it all comes down to either Baker or Rosen. But I think Baker makes more sense with Bridgewater as a mentor for him as I think they are a similar type of player when it comes down to athletic abilities. Rosen is more of a pocket passer. So I decided to go with Baker here.

4. Browns: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

Here it comes down to Chubb, Barkley or Ward. The Browns are still in a rebuilding process. And with that and with having selected their franchise QB at #1 they should go with Chubb to pair him with Garrett and build up one of the most promising young pass rush in this league. Another reason to not select Barkley here is their signing of Carlos Hyde and with the deepness of this year’s RB-class.

5. Broncos: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

Denver's coach Vance Jospeh was a DB's before getting the head coaching job in Denver. Talib got traded to the Rams this offseason so they have a need at CB. QB could also be an option here but I think they'll trust Keenum here so they take Denzel Ward and with that the best CB in this class.

6. Colts: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

Chubb got taken by the Browns in this Mock so with this pick it should come down to either Barkley or Nelson. I think Barkley's the best prospect in this draft class and he can have a bigger impact than Nelson to this team.

7. Buccaneers: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

Nelson should be the pick here if available as you may think. But I think they have some bigger holes to fill as S/CB is maybe the biggest. So I decided to give them someone who can do both at a very high level.

8. Bears: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

Harry Hiestand is the new OL coach in Chicago and I think he would love to have someone like Quenton Nelson back to his team as he was the OL coach at Notre Dame over the past years. It also makes too much sense to pass up on Nelson here. You give Howard someone to help him to get even better and Trubisky someone to protect him. This would be the perfect pick and probably the missing piece to the puzzle. I can also see them trying to trade up with Indianapolis.

9. 49ers: Prospect not selected

Tremaine Edmunds is an extremely athletic player with good coverage skills. I think he'd be a great addition to the team and could help them really well as a 4-3 LB as my pro comparison for him is Anthony Barr. Especially with the upcoming punishment of Reuben Foster LB should be a pretty big need.

10. Raiders: Vita Vea, Defensive Tackle, Washington

Vita Vea is a player that could end up being as dominant as Haloti Ngata. I like the way how smooth his movement is, how quick he is while being listed at 347 lbs and with the power he has while being this smooth in his movement. I think this is exactly a player the Raiders are in a need of to stop the run and to stop these big plays against them as it happened in the last season.

11. Dolphins: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

The Dolphins look like they are really interested in taking a QB in round 1 as the front-runner seems to be Baker Mayfield. But in this Mock Baker got taken #3 by the Jets. The latest news said they have strong interest in Luke Falk out of the University Of Washington State. So I think they take Falk in round 3-4 to get him mentored by Tannehill who's coming back from injury and take the best LB available as that should be Roquan Smith.

12. Bills: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

Buffalo should be really happy if this pick would happen in the real draft. They're strongly considered to move up in the draft to select a QB. I think Rosen would suit in perfectly as he has a good release and should be what the Bills want to get as their franchise QB.

13. Redskins: Da'Ron Payne, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

I've slotted Vita Vea here for a long time as the Redskins are in a big need of drafting a DT. They're very old at this position. But Vita Vea is off the board. So they go with the next DT on their board and I think that should be Da'Ron Payne.

14. Packers: Jaire Alexander, Cornerback, Louisville

I don't think you'd need a big explanation for this pick as CB obviously should be the biggest need of the Packers. They could also go with Derwin James and play him at S to make a typical Packers move but with that pick I decided to give them a freaky athletic CB with great coverage and ball skills. Alexander really showed off at the combine.

15. Cardinals: D.J. Moore, Wide Receiver, Maryland

D.J. Moore seems to develop himself into the #1 WR in this class. Larry Fitzgerald is about to retire soon so give him someone at his side he can be a mentor for. I think QB should be not on the list of them in round 1 but I think selecting Lamar Jackson in round 2 if available to give Steve Wilks a mobile QB like he had in Carolina could be a great option.

16. Ravens: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

So the Ravens tried to sign Cameron Meredith besides having signed Brown and Crabtree. This shows they're not done yet at this position. Ozzie Newsome loves Alabama players and has the possibility to select one with this pick in this Mock.
