My opinions on the 2017 nfl draft if the nfl season ended today

Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Mitch Trubisky, Quarterback, North Carolina

The Browns have to pull the trigger and get a quarterback for the future. I was ready to see Jackson rejuvenate RGIII's once promising football career. That did not happen and RGIII has proven he can not stay healthy in the NFL. Trubisky looks to be a big body, athletic, accurate, ect... He looks like a better college Andy Dalton. The Browns can't pass on another quarterback in the draft like they did on Wentz.

2. 49ers: Myles Garrett, Defensive End, Texas A&M

Quarterback play was not the complete reason the 49ers have had such a terrible season. The 49ers just a few years ago had the best front seven in the nfl. Adding Garrett to the last two first round draft picks of Buckner and Armstead would go a long way for the run and pass defense. Also keep in mind Deshaun Watson hasn't been catching as much buzz as Trubisky and Kizer the 49ers could trade back into the late first round if need be.

3. Bears: DeShone Kizer, Quarterback, Notre Dame

It's time for the Jay Cutler Era to come to an end he may retire from injury or he may just join his former teammates in the gang green. How ever it happends the bears fan base is ready for a new signal caller and Kizer fits the mold of a franchise quarterback. He is use to playing in the cold and the biggest games against the best competition. Kizer to go along with Howard in the backfield White split out wide could be a trio for the future.

4. Jaguars: Jonathan Allen, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

Its unclear what went wrong on a season that had so much promise in the off-season a sleeper playoff pick by many ended up taking a step back and having their head coach fired before the end of the season. Keep building on that promising young defense with possibly the most talented player in the draft. Allen can play at any spot on the defensive line very rare talent can't pass on him with such a weak offensive line draft class.

5. Titans: Derek Barnett, Defensive End, Tennessee

The Titans have been very impressive this year on both sides of the ball wide reciever is an obvious need as well as secondary I believe with their second first round pick they can address that need with more value. Some scouts have Bennett rated higher than Garrett pair him with Jurrell Casey and the pass rush becomes better just like that which will make the secondary better. The Titans are in great position to pick the best player available at this spot.

6. Jets: Cam Robinson, Offensive Tackle, Alabama

The Jets have picked a defensive player it seems every year to the point they could have a first rounder at every position on defense. With that being said they need to draft offense this year. D'brickshaw Ferguson'so retirement last year left the Jets with big shoes to fill Ryan Clady was not the answer they need to rebuild their offense Robinson could be the next D'brichshaw. I know QB is the popular choice but maybe Cutler for a year??

7. Chargers: Jabrill Peppers, Safety, Michigan

The Chargers need to add a jolt to their franchise a move is not what I think needs to happen what's better than San Diego beaches.... answer not much. The last time a wolverine player came out as a defender returner offensive weapon his name was Charles Woodson remember him charger fans? Don't pass on this guy you will need him against Carr for years to come. Anyone remember Eric Weddle? still haven't replaced him.

8. Bengals: Reuben Foster, Inside Linebacker, Alabama

What comes to mind when I think of the Bengals is the playoff loss from last year against the Steelers in which the defense could NOT keep its composure. Foster is super athletic can run side line to side line and cover. It's time to move away from talented players like Vontaze Burfict and Pacman Jones with off field concerns. Foster has had a prolific college career with no problems off the field.

9. Panthers: Leonard Fournette, Running Back, LSU

Last year the panthers were 15 and 1 and in the Super Bowl... a lot can change in a year. The obvious reason would be the defense and the departure of Josh Norman. Many will say they need a cornerback or saftey but as we see what a special running back can do for a team Ezekiel Elliott and a guy named Adrian Peterson remember when he first came in the league? Fournette is AP.2. Cam and Leo could become trendy come next Dec.

10. Browns: Quincy Wilson, Cornerback, Florida

The Browns can go oh so many ways with this pick they need a lot of help. With that being said this is a passing league that's why you take a QB number one then you will need someone to stop the pass. Wilson looks very football savvy like the last two really good corners out of Florida Hargreaves III and Joe Haden you know that ALL PRO player rotting away at the Browns facility? Pair him with Wilson and groom to be the next great CB.

11. Cardinals: Mike Williams, Wide Receiver, Clemson

How much longer is Larry Fitzgerald going to play? Michael Floyd is gone the future at the wide reciever position is unclear. Mike Williams is Big Strong Fast and productive reciever he isn't the most polished reciever ever coming out of college but a talent non the less working with Larry could speed up his learning process.

12. Bills: Jamal Adams, Safety, LSU

A Rex Ryan coached team will more than likely select a defensive player in the first round with that being said Adam's fills a need in the secondary. The Bills haven't had a stud at the saftey position since Jarius Byrd it really hurt them this year. The Bills could use help on the offensive line or add a wide reciever but that isn't the way Rex Ryan rolls now is it put your money on a defensive player being selected with the Bills first pick.

13. Colts: Dalvin Cook, Running Back, Florida State

Many will want the Colts to add lineman help or youth to the defense that can also be found later in the draft it's time for the Colts to get some real help for Luck. Cook looks to be a good receiving back and could be a 3 down back for the Colts. Remember Manning James Harrison how about Luck Cook Hilton? The Colts fan base will love this pick from day one and finally be able to get over trading a first round pick for Trent Richardson.

14. Saints: Marlon Humphrey, Cornerback, Alabama

Many have Humphrey as the number one corner prospect this year the Saints will jump at the chance to help their secondary. Humphrey has the size and speed to stick with the number one recievers. It would go a long way to find someone to help cover Julio Jones Mike Evans and Kelvin Benjamin in the division. It would be a luxury pick if he fell past the Panthers could we see the Saints trade with the Bengals? We know there will be trades come draft day.

15. Eagles: Marshon Lattimore, Cornerback, Ohio State

Eagles hit big on Wentz it seems the rookie looked composed and ready to play in the NFL. Many will say add someone to help Wentz a wide reciever or a running back is a popular pick for many. At this point I don't see a big time reciever or running back available and don't expect the Eagles to reach on someone. Lattimore is one of the top prospects with a big frame and good speed he could be the number 1 corner that Philadelphia has been looking for.

16. Titans: Corey Davis, Wide Receiver, Western Michigan

Davis stock is climbing come draft day he will be a sure first rounder possibly top 10 pick. Davis is one of the more polished route runners I have seen in recent years he has a big body and speed to go with it. Fast and precise in and out of routes and makes defenders miss on a regular basis. Titans have found successful players out of smaller schools in years past just as recently as last year with Tajae Sharpe look for them to add a playmaking receiver at this pick.
