2016 NFL Mock Draft by John R in PA - 4.24

It's draft week baby! What year it's been with two trades into the top 5.....Keep in mind some of these picks are more about the range I think a prospect will go, rather than which team will take him.

Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Rams: Jared Goff, Quarterback, California

Rams finally land a franchise QB, Goff is ready to step in and play in a tough NFC West. He has a good running back and defense to take the pressure off, but the underlying issues are St. Louis' problems with pass protection and lack of receiving talent. Goff is used to that coming from Cal though, and I think he will at least be an Andy Dalton/Matt Ryan level QB

2. Eagles: Carson Wentz, Quarterback, North Dakota State

As an Eagles fan, I'm on the other side of the fence with this trade compared to most of my fellow Philly fans. The Eagles have mingled with the likes of Kevin Kolb, Michael Vick, Nick Foles, and Sam Bradford since Donovan McNabb left. It's time to get a guy to develop for the long term and Wentz has all the tools you could ask for in a QB. Great size, strong arm, naturally accurate, surprising athleticism, and by all accounts is a stud off the field. With the right coaching, he can be a top 5 QB. He comes to a team with a coaching staff that has a ton of QB experience, and will have at least a year to sit and learn.

4. Cowboys: Jalen Ramsey, Cornerback, Florida State

5. Jaguars: Joey Bosa, Defensive End, Ohio State

10. Giants: Jack Conklin, Offensive Tackle, Michigan State
