Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Titans: Jalen Ramsey, Cornerback, Florida State

The Team Needs:
1. OT
2. RB
3. DB

The Pick Will Be: CB Jalen Ramsey, Florida State

Tennessee gets their man. Fills a big need, and not too worried about another OL as this draft is deep in this area. They can get a ROT in round 2.

2. Browns: Carson Wentz, Quarterback, North Dakota State

The Team Needs:
1. QB
2. DL - tackle
3. LB
4. WR
5. OL

The Pick Will Be: QB Carson Wentz, North Dakota State

Johnny Manziel was a disaster. Wentz has a high ceiling in the long term, and Hue Jackson is gushing about him.

3. Rams: Jared Goff, Quarterback, California

Trade: Rams trade up with Chargers, giving up their 1st, both 2cd and 4th round picks
The Team Needs:
1. Quarterback
2. WR
3. DB

The Pick Will Be: QB Jared Goff, California

This trade allows Rams to scoop up Goff ahead of the 49ers The Rams can’t go to LA without a franchise quarterback. They could look at WR or DB, but QB is a need pick

4. Cowboys: Ezekiel Elliott, Running Back, Ohio State

The Team Needs:
1. RB
2. QB
3. LB
4. CB

The Pick Will Be: RB Ezekiel Elliott, Ohio State

Jerry’s team needs a RB so they can take some pressure off Romo, and in doing so, protect him. Elliot is just that kind of talent.

The smart move for the long term would be QB, but the top two are gone. Maybe they will look at QB in round two or three.

5. Jaguars: Laremy Tunsil, Offensive Tackle, Ole Miss

The Team Needs:
1. DB
2. LB
3. OL
4. DE

The Pick Will Be: OT Laremy Tunsil, Ole Miss

Jaguars get will consider Vernon Hargreaves, but can’t resist the best OL in the draft, and fill a need at the same time.

I think they would consider Myles Jack, but until he decides to actually run to show off his rehabbed knee, I don’t think anyone would take the risk this high in the draft.

6. Ravens: Joey Bosa, Defensive End, Ohio State

The Team Needs:
1. OT
2. WR
3. DB
4. DE
5. OLB

The Pick Will Be: DE Joey Bosa, Ohio State

It’s easy. He fills a need and is BPA. Ozzie will not overthink this, and send his pick in quickly.

7. 49ers: Vernon Hargreaves, Cornerback, Florida

The Team Needs:
1. OL
2. ILB
3. WR
4. CB

The Pick Will Be: CB Vernon Hargreaves, Florida

If ILB Jaylon Smith hadn’t gotten hurt, he would have been the no brainer pick to replace Willis. Next thought could be OT Ronnie Stanley but I am betting Anthony Davis rejoins SF, and they get an OG in R2.

I don’t think SF will draft a QB, at least not until 3rd round. Kap apparently isn’t going to another team. Also, Chip Kelly was brought in for one big reason: Fix Colin Kaepernick!

I don’t see 9ers doing any trading up, but they could trade back if they think they think they can add picks and still get a top player (One scenario suggests NYG trading up to get Elliot, if he were available). So they take the player they have been checking out. Hargreaves would solidify their secondary.

8. Eagles: Myles Jack, Outside Linebacker, UCLA

The Team Needs:
1. OL
2. QB
3. DL - Edge
4. LB
5. RB

The Pick Will Be: LB Myles Jack, UCLA

Getting some help up front to keep their fragile QB upright is a high priority, but Jack is too good of talent. I have him dropping a bit because thus far he has not run for anyone to prove he is fully recovered. Without a 40 time, it is hard to know how well he is doing.

The only other choice this early would be an OL like Ronnie Stanley. A DB is also a thought, but Vernon Hargreaves is gone, and this is too high for Eli Apple or Mackenzie Alexander.

9. Buccaneers: DeForest Buckner, Defensive End, Oregon

The Team Needs:
1. OL
2. DB
3. DL - Edge

The Pick Will Be: DE DeForest Buckner, Oregon

Buckner shouldn’t last this long, and will be a great value pick.

10. Giants: Shaq Lawson, Defensive End, Clemson

The Team Needs:
1. RB
2. DL - Edge
3. OT
4. S
5. WR

The Pick Will Be: DE Shaq Lawson, Clemson

Giants might be hoping for Ezekiel Elliott here, but he is gone. The Giants have always been great at rushing the passer, and getting a top DE would be terrific. I could also see them going OT, such as Stanley. But Lawson is a better value.

11. Bears: Sheldon Rankins, Defensive Tackle, Louisville

The Team Needs:
1. DL - Edge
2. WR
3. DB
4. OLB
5. OT

The Pick Will Be: DT Sheldon Rankins, Louisville

Name a position and the Bears probably need help. Vic Fangio would love to have this big, strong nose tackle to anchor the DL. Bonus is he does not have baggage that may come with picking another DL talent such as Robert Nkemdiche. They can go after the OL and receiver next round when there will be some value picks to be had.

12. Saints: A'Shawn Robinson, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

The Team Needs:
1. QB
2. DL
3. DB
4. OG

The Pick Will Be: DT A’Shawn Robinson, Alabama

Saints will be tempted by a CB, but in the end, they opt for a presence in the middle of DL.

13. Dolphins: Ronnie Stanley, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

The Team Needs:
1. OL
2. DB
3. LB
4. RB
5. DE

The Pick Will Be: OT Ronnie Stanley, Notre Dame

Dolphins need to shore up the OL to protect their QB. Stanley is the best available at this point.

14. Raiders: Reggie Ragland, Inside Linebacker, Alabama

The Team Needs:
1. DB
2. LB
3. DL - Tackle
4. RB

The Pick Will Be: LB Reggie Ragland, Alabama

The Raiders would love to have one of the top corners or OT. They could also go for a safety to replace Woodson if one were rated this high. The defensive front seven are starting to gel and Ragland will be another key addition. He has great leadership skills to go with his outstanding play.

15. Chargers: Taylor Decker, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State

The Team Needs:
1. DL
2. WR
3. DB
4. OL

The Pick Will Be: OT Taylor Decker, Ohio State

Chargers have a lot of needs, but protecting their aging QB from taking as many hits as last year has to be a top priority.

16. Lions: Jarran Reed, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

The Team Needs:
1. OT
2. DB
3. DL - Tackle
4. LB

The Pick Will Be: Jarran Reed, DL – Alabama

Lions need to replace the void left when Suh left for Miami. Reed can do just that, and without all the penalties, fines and such.
