Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Titans: Laremy Tunsil, Offensive Tackle, Ole Miss

The Titans need to protect Mariota. I think Bosa is a better prospect but it is more important to provide Mariota with the best protection going forward so he can stay on the field. Tunsil projects as a blind side protector for the next decade.

2. Browns: Jared Goff, Quarterback, California

New coaches means new quarterbacks. The Browns have been looking for a QB for the last decade. Goff is the best QB in this draft even though he is not a Mariota or Winston type of prospect.

3. Chargers: Joey Bosa, Defensive End, Ohio State

This is the best player available. I would love to give the Chargers more protection for Rivers or another weapon but there is no one who can go this high. There is a concern Bosa can't fit in a 3-4 scheme. I do think he can and he is a piece you can put all over the field to disrupt offenses.

4. Cowboys: Myles Jack, Outside Linebacker, UCLA

Many express concern for the QB position. But I think they are in perfect position to fill that with Manziel. Another huge need is LB. Rolando McClain is a free agent and Sean Lee is an injury prone 30 year old. Besides this defense needs another play maker. Jack is coming off a torn ACL but the Cowboys often take chances on guys.

5. Jaguars: Jalen Ramsey, Cornerback, Florida State

I am not high on Ramsey as others are but I love his versatility. The Jaguars need help in their secondary which will help the pass rush and with Dante Fowler coming back, he will help the pass rush which helps the secondary.

6. Ravens: Vernon Hargreaves, Cornerback, Florida

Hargreaves will be ridiculed for the next few months because of his slight frame. But Baltimore loves football players and that's what Hargreaves is. He also fills a need at CB which is important in a division with Antonio Brown, AJ Green and possibly Josh Gordon.

7. 49ers: Ronnie Stanley, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

It looks like Kaepernick will be the QB next year. The 49ers need to surround him with the talent they lost last year. Stanley can start immediately at RT then start at LT once Joe Staley retires.

8. Dolphins: Mackensie Alexander, Cornerback, Clemson

Alexander is one of the most overrated prospects in this years draft. He has zero interceptions in his college football career. This is a serious concern for someone who is looked at as a potential number one corner. In order to warrant this high of a draft position, he must show his ball skills at the combine. The Dolphins need young talent at the CB position.

9. Buccaneers: DeForest Buckner, Defensive End, Oregon

We do not know what defense the Bucs will run under their new coach. But I think Buckner is a guy who can play anywhere in my opinion. The biggest need is pass rush and he will help that either at DE or DT.

10. Giants: Shaq Lawson, Defensive End, Clemson

The Giants are a mess. Outside of Eli and Odell, every other position is a need. Lawson is the best defensive player at this spot. With JPP or without, pass rush will be a big need. They need to go back to the pass rush that helped them win Super Bowls.

11. Bears: Robert Nkemdiche, Defensive Tackle, Ole Miss

The Bears take a chance on a top five talent. The Bears need more beef up front in Fangio's defense. Nkemdiche can be a 3-4 end in Fangio's defense.

12. Saints: Laquon Treadwell, Wide Receiver, Ole Miss

There are more pressing needs on the defense but Treadwell just has too much value at this point. The Saints have solid WR's in Snead and Cooks but either are the physical WR like Treadwell. Treadwell is not a Julio Jones or AJ Green type of player but is really good.

13. Eagles: Paxton Lynch, Quarterback, Memphis

The Eagles biggest need is a QB. They cannot consistently win until that position is settled. New coach means new QB. Lynch has loads of potential but he is a couple years away. The Eagles should start him from week 1 and live with the good and bad weeks.

14. Raiders: Reggie Ragland, Inside Linebacker, Alabama

The Raiders need a LB. I thought about putting Jaylon Smith here but they need someone who can start from day one. Ragland is a guy who can cover TE's and be solid in run defense.

15. Rams: Jaylon Smith, Outside Linebacker, Notre Dame

The Rams take a chance again. I think the Rams will be more willing to give him a chance since they had so much success with Gurley. One concern is Smith will probably not play most of the season.

16. Lions: A'Shawn Robinson, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

The Lions still have not replaced Suh. Ngata is a free agent so that makes it a bigger need. The Lions need someone who can take pressure off of Ansah on the DL.
