Chet Gresham's Week 8 Fantasy Football FLEX Rankings -PPR

by Chet Gresham - on Twitter

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on Walt's Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy FLEX rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season. If you don't like my rankings, check out Walter's fantasy football rankings.

The rankings are based on a PPR scoring system. Each player has's projected stats and standard scoring points.

Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings - PPR: RB | WR | TE | FLEX

But who do I start...

Updated 10/23/2019 - Follow @ChetGresham for updates.
  1. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings (vs. Redskins)
Washington likely won't be able to put up many points in Minnesota, so Cook will get all the work he needs to put up another big game.

  2. DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Texans (vs. Raiders)
The Raiders have allowed the second most fantasy points to wide receivers and with Will Fuller out, Hopkins should see an uptick in work.

  3. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers (at 49ers)
McCaffrey goes from Tampa Bay to San Francisco, which is not the schedule you would hope for, but he gets the damn thing done each week.

  4. Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants (at Lions)
Barkley gets a great matchup against a run defense that continues to give up big numbers to opposing backs, allowing the most fantasy points per touch to the position.

  5. James Conner, RB, Steelers (vs. Dolphins)
Conner should be good to go, but keep an eye on practice reports. The Dolphins have allowed the most fantasy points per game to running backs.

  6. Latavius Murray, RB, Saints (vs. Cardinals)

  7. Stefon Diggs, WR, Vikings (vs. Redskins)
As long as Adam Thielen isn't playing, Diggs should get fed. Josh Norman has played well this year, but he can be beaten.

  8. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks (at Falcons)
The Falcons run defense has been good this season but their awful pass defense gives running backs chances to score and Carson has played well enough to beat any defense this year.

  9. Michael Thomas, WR, Saints (vs. Cardinals)
Thomas hasn't missed a beat with Teddy Bridgewater at QB. Patrick Peterson is tough, but Thomas has been unstoppable and moves around enough to get free from Peterson.

  10. Aaron Jones, RB, Packers (at Chiefs)
Kansas City has given up 94 or more total yards to six different running backs and this week they'll have trouble putting up points with Matt Moore under center, giving the Packers more reason to run with a probable lead.

  11. Leonard Fournette, RB, Jaguars (vs. Jets)
The Jets run defense isn't as bad as the fantasy points they've allowed makes them look, but Fournette is a usage giant and will find a way to accumulate fantasy points.

  12. Todd Gurley, RB, Rams (vs. Bengals)
Gurley's usage isn't what we'd like, but this matchup and his touchdown upside are too good not to go all-in.

  13. Le'Veon Bell, RB, Jets (at Jaguars)
Bell was the only positive in their cataclysmic loss to New England on Monday night and this week he gets a much better matchup against the Jaguars, who rank 27th in run defense DVOA.

  14. Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers (at Bears)

  15. Chase Edmonds, RB, Cardinals (at Saints)

  16. Nick Chubb, RB, Browns (at Patriots)

  17. Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams (vs. Bengals)
The Bengals have been awful against slot receivers, giving up a big game to Dede Westbrook just last week.

  18. Chris Godwin, WR, Buccaneers (at Titans)
Godwin is too good to ever push out of the Top-10. You play him and you reap the rewards.

  19. Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks (at Falcons)
Again, I hope Matt Ryan plays to make this game more competitive, but the Falcons pass defense is going to give up a lot of points no matter the game flow.

  20. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans (vs. Buccaneers)

  21. Marlon Mack, RB, Colts (vs. Broncos)

  22. Kenny Golladay, WR, Lions (vs. Giants)
Marvin Jones went off last week so it's Golladay's turn.

  23. Julio Jones, WR, Falcons (vs. Seahawks)
Jones should be able to put up numbers even with Matt Schaub at quarterback, but I'd feel much better if Matt Ryan is able to play.

  24. Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs (vs. Packers)

  25. Mike Evans, WR, Buccaneers (at Titans)

  26. Sony Michel, RB, Patriots (vs. Browns)

  27. Josh Jacobs, RB, Raiders (at Texans)

  28. Ty Johnson, RB, Lions (vs. Giants)

  29. Tevin Coleman, RB, 49ers (vs. Panthers)

  30. Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons (vs. Seahawks)

  31. Phillip Lindsay, RB, Broncos (at Colts)

  32. George Kittle, TE, 49ers (vs. Panthers)
Kittle had trouble in the rain last week, just like every other player on the field. His ability will push him forward this week in a tough matchup.

  33. Julian Edelman, WR, Patriots (vs. Browns)
Edelman hasn't put up huge games but he remains consistent enough to be WR10 in PPR leagues despite just two touchdowns. I expect another good PPR game for him this week.

  34. Darren Waller, TE, Raiders (at Texans)
With Patrick Mahomes out and George Kittle taking on a tough Panthers defense, I like Waller to continue to put up good numbers as the most consistent tight end going right now.

  35. T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts (vs. Broncos)

  36. Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos (at Colts)

  37. D.J. Chark, WR, Jaguars (vs. Jets)

  38. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Steelers (vs. Dolphins)

  39. Marvin Jones, WR, Lions (vs. Giants)

  40. Robert Woods, WR, Rams (vs. Bengals)

  41. Austin Hooper, TE, Falcons (vs. Seahawks)
Hooper scored his touchdown last week with Matt Schaub throwing him the ball, but I'd feel better about him if Ryan is playing.

  42. Kenny Stills, WR, Texans (vs. Raiders)

  43. Allen Robinson, WR, Bears (vs. Chargers)

  44. Terry McLaurin, WR, Redskins (at Vikings)

  45. Golden Tate, WR, Giants (at Lions)

  46. John Brown, WR, Bills (vs. Eagles)
The Eagles have allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers this year with seven receivers topping 100 yards against them.

  47. Hunter Henry, TE, Chargers (at Bears)
Chicago hasn't allowed a tight end to top 48 yards this season, but Henry has looked great since returning. You're betting on ability with tight ends more often than not.

  48. Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs (vs. Packers)
Kelce should be Matt Moore's No. 1 target this week.

  49. Evan Engram, TE, Giants (at Lions)
Engram will look to get back on track this week against a Lions team that ranks 25th in DVOA against tight ends.

  50. Brandin Cooks, WR, Rams (vs. Bengals)

  51. David Montgomery, RB, Bears (vs. Chargers)

  52. Calvin Ridley, WR, Falcons (vs. Seahawks)

  53. LeSean McCoy, RB, Chiefs (vs. Packers)

  54. James White, RB, Patriots (vs. Browns)

  55. Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals (at Saints)

  56. Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals (at Rams)

  57. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Giants (at Lions)

  58. Corey Davis, WR, Titans (vs. Buccaneers)

  59. Royce Freeman, RB, Broncos (at Colts)

  60. D.K. Metcalf, WR, Seahawks (at Falcons)

  61. Mike Williams, WR, Chargers (at Bears)

  62. Dede Westbrook, WR, Jaguars (vs. Jets)

  63. Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers (at Bears)

  64. Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers (at Bears)

  65. Robby Anderson, WR, Jets (at Jaguars)

  66. Carlos Hyde, RB, Texans (vs. Raiders)

  67. D.J. Moore, WR, Panthers (at 49ers)

  68. A.J. Brown, WR, Titans (vs. Buccaneers)

  69. Gerald Everett, TE, Rams (vs. Bengals)
Everett has become a big piece of this Rams offense and he gets a great matchup against the Bengals.

  70. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Packers (at Chiefs)

  71. Alshon Jeffery, WR, Eagles (at Bills)

  72. Jamaal Williams, RB, Packers (at Chiefs)

  73. Curtis Samuel, WR, Panthers (at 49ers)

  74. Olabisi Johnson, WR, Vikings (vs. Redskins)

  75. Tyrell Williams, WR, Raiders (at Texans)

  76. Matt Breida, RB, 49ers (vs. Panthers)

  77. Phillip Dorsett, WR, Patriots (vs. Browns)

  78. Christian Kirk, WR, Cardinals (at Saints)

  79. Ted Ginn, WR, Saints (vs. Cardinals)

  80. Jamison Crowder, WR, Jets (at Jaguars)

  81. Diontae Johnson, WR, Steelers (vs. Dolphins)

  82. Auden Tate, WR, Bengals (at Rams)

  83. Jarvis Landry, WR, Browns (at Patriots)

  84. Preston Williams, WR, Dolphins (at Steelers)

  85. Jordan Howard, RB, Eagles (at Bills)

  86. Emmanuel Sanders, WR, SF

  87. Keke Coutee, WR, Texans (vs. Raiders)

  88. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals (at Rams)

  89. Devante Parker, WR, Dolphins (at Steelers)

  90. Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears (vs. Chargers)

  91. Damien Williams, RB, Chiefs (vs. Packers)

  92. DaeSean Hamilton, WR, Broncos (at Colts)

  93. Adrian Peterson, RB, Redskins (at Vikings)

  94. Zach Ertz, TE, Eagles (at Bills)
The Bills are tough on tight ends and Ertz is losing some work to Dallas Goedert, but I also think they'll look to get him going again this week.

  95. T.J. Hockenson, TE, Lions (vs. Giants)
I expect the Lions will throw more with Kerryon Johnson out and they'll need Hockenson to step up.

  96. Eric Ebron, TE, Colts (vs. Broncos)

  97. Frank Gore, RB, Bills (vs. Eagles)

  98. Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles (at Bills)

  99. Demaryius Thomas, WR, Jets (at Jaguars)

  100. Greg Olsen, TE, Panthers (at 49ers)
Olsen gets an awful matchup, but he's always a threat to score.

  101. Alex Erickson, WR, Bengals (at Rams)

  102. Jonnu Smith, TE, Titans (vs. Buccaneers)

  103. Jimmy Graham, TE, Packers (at Chiefs)

  104. Cameron Brate, TE, Buccaneers (at Titans)

  105. Geronimo Allison, WR, Packers (at Chiefs)

  118. Darren Fells, TE, Texans (vs. Raiders)

  119. Jordan Akins, TE, Texans (vs. Raiders)

  120. Anthony Miller, WR, Bears (vs. Chargers)
