2022 College Recruiting - 6 Commits

Olson (6-6, 295) is an interesting case. He's still developing as a football player, both in terms of on-field skills and the general mentality of being a football player. Olson has been more of a basketball player, but his size and footwork make him an interesting future prospect on the offensive line. He's not a great athlete or anything, but he has very good length and the sort of foot quickness to work out at tackle. Olson is a project and a long-term play for USC. We'll see how it works out.

Williams (6-5, 262) might be the best defensive lineman in Georgia, if not all the southeast. He is very violent with his hands, and I love how he comes off the ball hard and just bursts through the line of scrimmage. Williams is a naturally strong prospect with short-space strength and functional strength. He just bullies through offensive linemen and will grab the ball-carrier and throw him to the ground. Williams is very good at holding the point of attack. His ability to stop the run and also be a top-flight pass rusher makes him a game changer. He provides scheme versatility and can line up anywhere in the front four.

Mykel Williams' Player Grade: A
USC logo WR Kevin Green (Mission Hills, CA) commits to USC  View Class

Green (5-11, 165) could end up on either side of the ball. The general belief is that he is going to be a slot receiver. Green's film at safety, however, is pretty impressive. Despite his size, Green plays a physical game with a lot of intensity. Even though Green appears destined to play offense, I believe his heart is in playing defense. As a wide receiver, Green has good hands and will be a guy who can move the chains. He has some quickness and a little wiggle, but his long speed is something he could improve.

Kevin Green's Player Grade: B
USC logo TE Keyan Burnett (Anaheim, CA) commits to USC  View Class

Burnett (6-5, 220) gives USC the nod over Arizona and Arizona State. His father, Chester, played for Arizona.

Burnett is a big-bodied pass catcher, and I think he'll be used more as a wide receiver/tight end hybrid than someone who will lineup on the inline. It's going to be a bit of a fun challenge for the offensive minds at USC to figure out the right ways to use Burnett and create mismatches around him. One thing I would like to see from Burnett is getting even more physical with smaller defensive backs when they are lined up against him. He has a high ceiling.

Keyan Burnett's Player Grade: B
USC logo CB Domani Jackson (Santa Ana, CA) commits to USC  View Class

USC is carrying in its momentum from a top-10 2021 class by grabbing arguably the best cornerback on the market in the 2022 cycle and a legitimate top-15 player in the nation. Jackson (6-1, 185) is a superb athlete and football player who is developing into a top-end cornerback as he continues to get full-time work on the outside. His size makes gives him the ability to be physical, and his timed speed - 4.51 seconds in the 40-yard dash - gives him the ability to run downfield with the receiver. He also has the agility and fluidity to turn with receivers and transition from the backpedal. Jackson is already very good and hasn't scratched the surface of his potential.

Domani Jackson's Player Grade: A
USC logo CB Fabian Ross (Las Vegas, NV) commits to USC  View Class

USC has gotten off to a strong start with its 2022 class, and Ross (6-0, 185) is one of the top players in the Pacific time zone. He looks like he will continue to grow and turn into more or a secondary hybrid player than a natural outside corner. I could see Ross playing cornerback and safety, and providing support and size on the inside against the run game. Ross can line up on the outside and play man against bigger, physical wide receivers.

Fabian Ross' Player Grade: B
