2006 NCAA Football Tournament

What is this?
Since NCAA Football desperately needs a playoff, why not create one? Sixteen teams were chosen (11 conference winners and five at-large bids) and placed into brackets. Dan Biggio, Sim Lucien, Mike Sikora, a public vote and I will take a look at each game and decide who we think will win the game. The team that moves on to the next round will be the team that gets three votes to win out of the five predictions. The predictions for each game will be posted during the time listed for each contest.

Auburn: only team to beat Florida; defeated LSU; one bad loss to Georgia
LSU: beat Arkansas and Tennessee; only losses to Auburn and Florida
Michigan: No. 2 in the polls
West Virginia: quality wins against Maryland and Rutgers; only losses to Louisville and 8-4 South Florida

Bubbles Burst

California: can't lose to Arizona
Notre Dame: no quality wins; next time play better teams than Michigan State, Purdue, Stanford, Navy, North Carolina, Air Force and Army
Rutgers: bad loss to Cincinnati; couldn't beat West Virginia with a backup QB
Tennessee: two home conference defeats; blown out by Arkansas
Texas: two bad losses to Texas A&M and Kansas State
Wisconsin: no quality wins; non-conference games against cupcakes Bowling Green, San Diego State, Western Illinois and Buffalo
